    Smokes?

You guys are so lucky! ONE pack of Marly Lights over here is £4.50, which I guess is about 6 US dollars!!! For 20 measly cigarettes! And don't get me started on the price of petrol... Steph -x-
  2. I agree, definitely worth the money - and loads of fun too! After only half an hours tunnel time my skydiving improved, then my confidence grew... and my skydiving improved even more! Am going again this winter - who-hoo! Steph -x-
  3. 27 : 18 Did my 300th at the weekend!!! Took me long enough, although I did have 2 lay-offs... Never going to stop again though!
  4. Compulsory CYPRES. Don't know if that'll affect you, but it's a major hassle when I go out there... Beautiful DZ though, and Barcelona is a top city to visit if/when the tremontana arrives! Cielos azules, Steph -x-
  5. I agree with WFFC; a timeshare *can* be a really good thing, but only if bought in a very desirable location and for a popular time of the year. They are colour coded; red, white and blue, and I would advise against buying a blue one as that only allows you to "share" other blue properties - thus limiting your options. White can share both white and blue, and red can share any of them. My folks have a timeshare, and do get offered completely free weeks all over Europe. These freebies are an opportunity for timeshare to flog more weeks, but you do not have to buy them!!! Hope that helps... Steph -x-
  6. Aren't Tevas impregnated with some sort of anti-stink chemical? Mine still smell like odour-eaters, although I don't wear them for jumping... My team-mate won't let me - ever since the heel of someone's Teva pulled his shiny handle on exit!!!
  7. It varies... Here in the UK O +ve is the most common blood type, but in Asia it's B and in America I think that it's A. O should be the least common as the gene involved is recessive (gets "overwritten" by the other copy of the same gene). However because people who were O had better immunity against the bubonic plague the gene thrived in the UK population - natural selection in action! Like I said, interesting stuff genetics (well, I think so anyway!). Steph -x-
  8. QuoteMy dad is the rarest: O negative. My mom is A I think. i am O positive.Quote Me too! Guess that makes your Mum rhesus +ve then, since that's the dominant gene. She could be either A or B (heterozygous with O) and still make you O+ve (but not AB or a homozygote). Don't know about the States, but over here (UK) O+ve is the most common blood type - handy! QuoteOff topic, but still genetics related is eye color. I always had the ass that I was the only person on both sides of my family, other than my brown eyed mother, who did not have blue eyes. I started out as true brown, but am now very green/hazel. Odd how that worked out.Quote Well, brown eye colour is dominant to blue, so with a brown eyed parent it's not surprising that you have brown eyes. Technically green eyes are just a different shade of blue, so you're probably expressing some of your heterozygous blue eye colour genes. Eye colour isn't my speciality, but I think it follows the basic rules of Mendelian genetics - and does explain your phenotype. Interesting stuff genetics... Steph -x-
  9. No problems to date, although I usually put my rig in the hold and I don't have a CYPRES. Understandably they don't like the sound of an "explosive device" - with or without a CYPRES card! If I'm borrowing kit with one, I just don't mention it... The X-ray people always seem more preoccupied with my pop-top and weight vest anyway. Steph -x-
  10. 291:1 Total, so a terminal opening - on a round reserve!!!
  11. I too have a Bev "Hot Bod" suit, which I absolutely love. It took a while to arrive (it did have to be shipped to the UK!) but was *definitely* worth the wait. I've been jumping it for a couple of years now, and it's held up much better than my mates' Symbi suits - especially in the wind tunnel, where some of their suits were blown apart! Only one minor complaint, and that's the position of the pocket... It's on the front rather than on the sleeve, so anything bigger than a pull-up really digs in on the creepers! Minor thing though. Top RW suit
