Hook'n'swoops post on hard decks raised a question with me...he mentions trying to fix a line-over mal. Firstly, I didn't know it was possible! (me still a newbie) - I had a line-over mal on jump 24 though, and there was no way at the time I was going to consider fixing it, hell I wasn't even sure what it was when I first saw it! So, the question....Is a line-over mal something you should try to fix first (altitude allowing obviously) - is it worth trying to fix / how would you try to fix - or should you just chop and go? The thought of fighting with lines under a spinning canopy isn't too appealing! --- One life...Use it.

I'm pretty sure you can take up the spanish equivalent for 3 months - this is what I did when I did my AFF over there this June. You'd have to do at least one check out jump though - an AFF level 7 equivalent (loops/360 turns etc). --- One life...Use it.

Hehe...I was in Empuria this weekend too, also just got back....going through the exact same thing... One thing kinda helps though...just looking to book my next flight out there for Sept! --- One life...Use it.

Can people advise of their personal gear checks...ie. what you check/which order etc... Having just done AFF, I have my own little routine of checking leg straps/chest straps etc once in the harness, but what should I be checking before I put the harness on (cypress/pin/etc) What should a full pin check involve for example ? - should I check anything on the reserve? Okay, I know the 'no scuba diving within 24hrs of flying' thing....but does anyone know how rigid this rule is ? I like both, and ideally would like to do both on holiday! Anyone skydived and scuba dived within a short period ? - Surely the military must have done some research on this ? Thoughts ? --- One life...Use it.

British Skydivers....currency question.

I'm not sure if these rules apply to UK DZ's, but I've recently done my AFF in Empuria. Currency required to jump there was :- A licence - must have jumped within 3 months, or you need to do a couple of AFF levels again. (it may have been levels 3,5 7 - not quite sure) Below A licenece - 30 days. --- One life...Use it. -

Personally I thought he was awesome, explained lots and answered everything I could throw at him (i read on here that there's no such thing as a dumb question when you're learning!) I'd certainly recommend him to anyone, but then all the instructors seemed pretty cool. I suppose it's difficult to say when I've nothing to compare it to... Why ? --- One life...Use it.

Hell yeah...we beat most of the jumpers down! - Reiner put the video of me in the back of the plane onto my AFF tape...pretty funny! Dates...erm...it was 28th June - 6 July... --- One life...Use it.

I managed to get 24 in a week...all aff levels, all consols plus a few more...nice bunch of people, superb week! Most feared moment was having to ride back down in the plane when the 50 jump limit was called at 10,000 feet on my AFF 6 ! - It's less scary to jump! --- One life...Use it.
