Beautifully done, Annette. As a South African I could almost touch the monkeys and smell the African dust. I love it!

Islam is a religion, not a race.

"We had a massive landslide victory, as you know, in the Electoral College." — Donald Trump on Sunday, December 11th, 2016 in an interview on "Fox News Sunday" Just by saying something, does not make it so.

"Spots on the wall" by Woo FlungDung. "Contraception in the USSR" by Dr Vladimir Cutchikokov.

DJI has had that feature in their Phantoms and Inspires for a few years now. It is called the Virtual Positioning System and also incorporates sonar to help with maintaining height. The cameras don't work so well over water or any other uniform surface such as a carpet or evenly cemented floors because they can't detect a change when drifting. It is good to know that the technology is becoming more widespread. Down here the top-end quads are very, very expensive to import.

Everyone knew that a 1k RAM was actually 1024 bits, but that "k" was close enough for the terminology. It was when the density got up to 2^16 = 65,536 bits that it looked odd to say a 65kbit RAM. So, the convention entered for K = 1024, and we called it a 64Kbit RAM. That would have been in the late 70's. In this context you should use bytes instead of bits. 1k RAM is 1024 bytes of RAM (8 bits = 1 byte).

Fair enough, but in "winner takes all" states a simple 'hanging chad' mistake or a 'new-found million votes' can still have a huge affect on the electoral college numbers.

All of you who refer to your flag as just a piece of cloth are being deliberately obtuse and disingenuous. Your soldiers wear US flag shoulder patches on their uniforms. Your politicians wear US flag lapel badges. When a prominent US citizen passes away, you fly the US flag at half mast. Remember Iwo Jima and the planting of the US flag. When a soldier dies in Afghanistan his remains are brought back in a US flag draped coffin. At his funeral his widow is presented with a folded US flag. In each example above, your US flag is a symbol. None of which matters one whit, since the Constitution allows flag burning, and not one soldier's enlistment oath mentions defending the flag but every soldier's oath pledges to defend the Constitution. The constitution also allows capital punishment. I know that you are particularly strongly opposed to it.

Freedom of speech does not change the fact that by burning that symbol you make a mockery of all of the above and you insult every soldier - serving or dead.

I don't know. What would her policies be? This is the problem. People vote for personalities.... Listening to her speech in support of Hillary yesterday, I couldn't help thinking that you could do a whole lot worse than Michelle Obama. That lady is a 'powerful orator' , to quote one news source.
-
Won't that present a small problem for your candidate?
-
From over here it seems that Trump won't have that problem at least. He clearly doesn't have to keep his supporters ignorant and uninformed.
-
He could call them freiheitsfurters I suppose....
-
And your answer to that is 'intelectualised racism' ?
-
The following is an excerpt from an article on Sky News :- I was struck by the extreme irony with which this is being reported and dealt with. To have "The Lords" decide for " the commoners" what is good for them just doesn't wash!

As with pornography, racism is sometimes difficult to define, but I know it when I see it. Put another way : "Some of my best friends are black".

I think that presidential candidates (and bodybuilders) have to be narcissists almost by definition?

McCain does the right thing. How about it, McConnell?

Only when their own jobs are on the line do they become concerned. As I have posted before, a politician would sell their own grandmother to stay in office. Not an iota of ethics among them. Jerry Baumchen Well, except Hillary, of course. You obviously have still not read Paul's latest sticky. -
Things we're looking forward to in this US election cycle
