  1. Hey Ed - I'm Kaz. I'm also from the UK and am doing my A-Levels too, but am getting seriously hacked off with them, but only a few weeks to go and then three months of holiday to jump my ass off!!! Which centre do you jump at? I'm at Brid, except we can't jump at the moment cos of that stupid foot and mouth.
  2. I'm only a youngin (or so people keep reminding me when they talk about how they were jumping rounds 20 years ago in the "good old days", before I was born) but I soon hit 18! (4 weeks and counting!)
  3. and beer. Even if only e-beer, not real!
  4. Yep, it sure does suck, and it really does sound very strange, but that's Britain for you!
  5. Has also meant lots of cows, pigs and sheeps have had to be burnt and then the ashes buried cos its supposed to be the only way to stop it spreading! All horse races, army training, country hiking, stuff like that have been banned! So, not only can I not jump, I can't run around the countryside like a mad-woman with my rifle! (i'm a sergeant in the Army cadets)
  6. Brid, may be open by now but I am stuck here in scarborough bloody babysitting + very low cloud = very p***ed off Kaz! Oh well, the blue skies will soon reign supreme!
  7. Yeah, but you could always try BSS, Bridlington - incredibly friendly dropzone, nice 'ickle plane, and gorgeous views of the North Sea, granted less altitude and planes, but still a DZ well worth considering!
  8. Go for it! If you check out www.bpa.org.uk you and go to Maps and Dropzones (I think!) you will be able to view a map of all the UK DZs and find out which centres offer which courses. Of course, you could travel from London and visit the friendliest and generally best DZ - British Skysports, Bridlington!
  9. I haven't jumped since New Years eve and am desperate to jump again! Was real poorly until beginning of feb, had a car accident so couldn't jump and then just when I am clear to jump again, trust the good old British Isles, the country has an outbreak of god-damned Foot and Mouth disease and the DZ gets closed - typical! So, instead, I've come to read lots of people who are getting to jump talk about it instead - a mild help! :)

  11. Heard that quote but as "grab the grass, its the second bounce that kills you" ?!?! "Skydivers don't live on the edge - they jump from it" :)
  12. Try www.boltblue.com A friend of mine got a logo with a little plane and then some jumpers leaving the plane from it. Hope this helps!

Hi- I'm 17 and I don't have a license either, and I'm not even likely to ever get a tractor license - driving license possibly! I do have a license to do radio broadcasts, but that's poo! I don't think drinking makes you a good skydiver - just gives you something to do when you can't jump!
