    Such a beautiful comment, and so true, too! There are lots of hot chicks in skydiving. Personality definitely adds a lot, and skydivers tend to have personality:) It's funny, when I first got into this sport in July, I was bringing my whuffo friend with me to the dz. We pondered why skydiving was such a hottie sport... was it that beautiful people skydive, or that skydivers just have something hot about them?! Never figured it out, one of lifes mysteries I suppose. Dove, where do you jump in Fla? Come visit Pahokee!:) Angela.

    Ah, ech! I can't believe people actually consume an average of 8 spiders in their lives while sleeping. No way! Thank god I do not eat canned veggies! (I have to wonder about other foods now, tho! ) Angela.

    I'll venture to say that almost every purchase I made prior to July when I took up skydiving. Think of all the skydives I could've made instead of eating lobster and steak all year and going out every weekend to the bars! Oh, man, I could have an audible, ff gear. Maybe even a cypres! Angela.

    That sucks! This is why I refuse to sign up for anything for more than 1 year. I have t-mobile, and I originally ordered 1000 mins a month. I decided I only needed 600 mins, so switched to cheaper plan. they had to re-date my contract, but at least I have a cheaper plan now. And, it is easy to talk to someone. I used to have Cingular and with them you could switch your plan without renewing I think. Thanks for the heads up with Sprint. Angela.

    Gosh, that is terrible that you got hurt so badly:( Honestly, I wouldn't think there'd be anything you can do about a packer who packed you a hard opening or whatever. I mean, if packers were liable, then they'd be payed a lot more, and would have insurance for such things. Or course the parachute mfg will say it is a packing error. I don't know how you could prove it one way or the other, tho. That's a shame. Heal well. Angela.

    I have quit smoking and started smoking, and quit smoking... so many times. I quit about 2 months ago, maybe had 3 cigs since then and hated them. Guess I need a reminder sometimes, haha. I never smoked too heavily except for when I was drinking on weekends. I am glad i'm now smoke free, just the smell of it bothers the hell out of me. I hugged my mother the other day and she reeked of cigarette smoke, ech! So, at this point, I wouldn't want to date a smoker. But, I can't vote because I can not say with certainty that i'll never smoke again due to my track record. My motivation for quitting this time was i'm dating someone who doesn't like it. I now understand why. Oh, and I also had a hard time on car trips. Chewing gum helped a lot for me. Angela.

    Just curious, but do you tell them it was stolen from your home, or do you tell the truth that it was stolen at a dz? Do most insurances cover this? Angela.

    Man, i've had like 5 or 6 tickets in the past year, no fun! I find that the cop either wants to write you a ticket or not. I've been asked if I knew how fast I was going, and I give an estimate. I have been asked why I was speeding, and have given the "I don't know" or "everyone else was" (doh!). I gave up at one point and decided to be a total bitch cuz wtf cared anymore, I was figuring on just letting my license get suspended and start taking a bus at this point, lol! Well, the guy says, can you please keep it down, kids bla bla (school zone),.. I was like "it's a free country, etc", and he said he is about to give a warning... WHOA! ?que? Stop right there, buddy, say no more, i'll shuttup now! lol! Those were cool tips, i'll use them wisely. On top that, I find myself with less $$ to burn these days, so I try to keep it safe... rather spend my $$ on jumps than save a minute or two. ROFL! I almost died laughing when I read that! Angela.

    I'm thankful for my rig. I'm thankful that Skydive SOBE opened in Pahokee as not my drive to a dz is bearable, not to mention the awesome folks there who are major generous! I'm thankful to have people that love and care for me. I'm thankful that even with so much debt, I can still decide to burn my income away skydiving, and simply pay the minimums. I'm thankful for my Federal Pell Grants and being able to learn so much cool stuff! I'm thankful for the easist job on planet earth! Finally, i'm thankful for all of the food i'm going to eat tomorrow with my wonderful family & friends! HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Angela.

    You pay, you took responsibility for it when you borrowed it to test jump. If you test drive a car, and you crash it, your insurance probably pays, right? (?) What if you had cut away the main and never found it, would you just say,.. oh, well, it wasn't mine! ? No way, man! You lost it, you replace it. Not to bring this too far off topic, but how does something like that happen, anyhow? Slider not against gromets? Sorry to hear of the shit luck you got, but I think it is only right that you pay for the canopy whatever he was asking for it. Angela.

    I agree. Up until 14 years old, I thought I was invincible. I was on top of the world, and even though I knew what dying was, I figured that I was just too tough, too cool, I was unstoppable. And, furthermore, I didn't care if I died, life sucked anyhow, I wasn't allowed to stay out past midnight! As a general guideline, I wouldn't let a kid under 16 jump... you can make the judgement to sign off or not then, but I think younger than that is too young. jmo, of course. I would absolutely not let my child jump at 11 years old, especially on his/her own. Tandems are another argument/topic alltogether. Angela.

    If that is really your bum then I have no idea what you're talking about. I recall the other pic, I don't see it as having been better than this one. You don't have any cellulite, and your creases are even minor. Far more perfect then my bum:p Angela.

    I was also told to go into a ball it/when I got unstable and was gonna cork seeing as though I was flying with others. I did just that, and it worked well for me and was easy to get back into a sit from that position rather than from flat. jme. Now i'm practicing my stand and my recovery is my sit:) Angela.

    rock on! Welcome to the sport. There aren't many females, either; but still seems like more chicks than black folks. I have seen a couple do tandems, but haven't seen any regulars. I've only been in the sport since July, tho. There is one guy at my school that wants to go sometime... hmm, maybe I can catch up with him, gotta see if I get a ticket for referrals take care! Angela.
