  1. I will do that. But, I guess what i'm asking here is do I pay one of the credit cards off entirely, or do I put a good deal on the principal of my auto, or maybe pay off the 30 year loan. All this given my situation of possibly having little/no income by late next year. In the meantime, I can still take your advice and pay large chunks on one item or another. -A
  2. The interest rates on everything are just about equal, around 9%. So, given interest rates are equal, what do you think? -A
  3. I will get about 3000$ back after my semester is payed for. I have plenty of bills, but i'm not sure what is best to pay. Loan, originally 3500$, have about 3000$ left unpaid at 9% interest over 30 years (yikes). Payment is 40$/mo. Credit card that is closed that I still owe about 3000$ on at 8.9% interest. Payments are not much, maybe 35$/month minimum, but of course I always pay more or it'd never go down. Credit card that is opened that I owe 1500$ on. But, everytime I pay it I keep putting more on it. Interest is about the same as the other one. Credit line is almost maxed out. Car loan is 5 year loan, still have almost 4 years left to pay it, I owe about 7500$ on it and the payment is 250$/mo. Keep in mind that I will be going off to school next year, so I will have to quit my full-time job and probably get something part time for MUUUCH less than I make now. I will also have to move, and that could be costly. I will be taking loans out for school to live on. So, I could also put this $$ in savings, but I know me, and large amounts of $$ burn holes in my pockets. I am concerned with the 250$ car payment, but even if I put 3000$ on it, it will still be 250$/mo (for a shorter term I assume, I don't know how that works.) So, what is best to pay with the 3000$ I will have from federal grants + school (subsidized) loans? Financial advise is appreciated. Angela.
  4. 1) Better, smoother swoops., swoop a pond. 2) Get Headdown! 3) At least 200 jumps I'll be moving next year to some unknown place (applying to colleges out of state), so I can't make my goals too tough because I have enough to worry about:) I do hope to save enough $$ to buy another canopy by the end of '05, but considering I won't have a job after July, I may have to hold off on that:( . -A
  5. Not bad now that the semester is over, but mid-semester it's a wild whirlwind of papers when the windows are down So, generally, i'd give mine a 5 because at least I don't have fast food products lying around, it's only papers. -a
  6. That's another reason I chose Chem Engineering over Chemistry. Just in case I get totally sick of school and want to get a job with my BS. I would get a better paying job with a BS in Chem Engineering than Chemistry. I might end up getting my MS in Chemistry, but we'll see. :) -A
  7. Reading everyone's replies was fun! Who knew skydivers were such methodical and calculative people? Math is #1 on fav subjects. I like math, too.... but I don't think i'm all that good at it when I compare myself to some of my classmates. I can do a diff eq problem, but when faced with the projects I just couldn't figure out where to begin! I sure wish I was better with Physics, too. I get by, and I got 'A's just like in math, but I really still feel like i'm missing something. Well, I do like chemistry, and I am applying to schools for Chem Engineering. I went from wanting to study Psychology in HS, to Pharmacy early in college (mostly for $$), to Chemistry, Marine Bio, then Chem Engineering. I hope I don't change my mind again before I get into a school, lol! YAY for finals being over!!! -A
  8. Glad you like Bio, then I loved Anatomy until I found Chemistry... I haven't kept up with it, but can't wait 'til my Org Chem class next semester! I feel like such a dork -A
  9. Remember the days where older folks would ask you what your favorite subject was? Well, aside from recess, what was it? Even if you hated school, answer what class interest(s/ed) you the most. This is brought on by a college application asking me what was my favorite subject and why I found it interesting. So, feel free to answer the whole question and expand on why you enjoy your subject. :D -A
  10. Usually it gets chilly a couple days here n there in January... So, play nice or I might be laughing at you soon enough -A
  11. Yep, I'll be back in Sebastian next Wednesday and staying until the following Monday!!! See you then!
  12. No, I live in Fort Lauderdale. The store was at the Coral Square. It's been a couple of years, can't remember the name. Where is Volucia? Is that in Deland? -A
  13. I find that a lot of the 'otc' stuff is just too strong for me, I like a more mild scent which is why I prefer to blend them myself. I just use Aveeno right now because it works and doesn't stink. -A
  14. The oils are not expensive and are available at most holistic stores. I buy mine at Whole Foods Market. Can you find some unscented lotions? I am not sure how the gels are blended. Good luck. I was upset when a similar store to that one closed at a mall near me:( -A
  15. Oooooh. Well, I will just have to learn to fly better, then I found it hard to get into a modified sitfly in the tunnel. I will likely be out there this weekend, too. Brrrrrr. -A
  16. lol! Seriously, I bought some crappy fleece pants at Walmart for 7$... now, if I am just WAY too cold this weekend, i'll consider the real thing. Here's to layering up~! -A
  17. I have worked at Boston Market, and the food is decent, I like the ham ok. For prepared stuff, Honey Baked Ham Co. Has some really good spiral ham and even their turkey is good. If you don't cook, this probably isn't the time to start because you'll just be greatly dissappointed if things don't turn out right, and it'll be stressful, too. Maybe you could prepare a baked dessert the day before your dinner by a recipe. The, something would be your own:) -A
  18. Nope. 1.5 I really think that it's all about what one's perception of fast and boring are. And, no, there is nothing wrong with a light w/l, it is all about your perception of things. If you are having fun, that is what matters! -A
  19. Damnit!!! I shouldn't have paid the 9$ they charged me for being a day late. I hate those assholes, I swore i'd cut my card when I got home, but i'd already forgotten. If this truly happens I will keep using their services, but that was the LAST time I was paying those shitty fees. I mean, a) They were due back on Monday at noon... it's not like they were going to get them rented out that night anyhow. b) I had them 1 extra night, not two, therefore I should have been prorated. !!! -A
  20. lol!! We'll see, I haven't found anything suitable yet. If I freeze to death this weekend with just spandex, then i'll order them. Besides, I always look sexy (That's what my boyfriend tells me) -A
  21. Man, those are some expensive thermals! This is Florida, I was thinking cheapies, just something to wear under the jumpsuit that would actually do better than my workout pants... but, I might end up with them anyhow. I would suck it up and buy 'em, but I hate to get something i'll use twice a year for that much $$. (this is why I have no winter clothes.) But, watch, I won't buy 'em, and it'll stay cold here all season, yuck! ! Thermal jumps, you guys are great, but i'm hoping to buy somethink cheap and probably not nearly as good looking as those Chris posted, so i'll sit that one out I'm going to check Wal-mart, Target didn't have thermals, either, men's or women's. :( -A
  22. I'm curious as to why they only operate to this speed, would you know? If they have higher capabilities, why not use it? Does it create greater difficulty for the flyer, or are the motors at risk of damage? thx. -A
  23. Don't forget stairs... they are dangerous, too -A
