Finally got past the TSO issue i had with jumping a military rig. Looks like Elsinore is going to let me jump my rig...as soon as i get my hands on a cypress and get my canopies relined. Damn i'm stoked. If anyone has a two pin Cypress i am interested. "GOT LEAD?"

i just wanted everyone to know, that i think Perris is a first class DZ and my comments may be takent he other way. I was a bit frustrated and it didnt really have anything to do with Perris...just a bit disappointed in myself by buying something without checking into it first. i hear ya man. i have been into sportbikes for years and have alot of friends that i ride with. but sincei took up this sport i have rode once in the last two months, and here in san diego i can ride all year. while we're on the subject anybody wanna buy a bike? "GOT LEAD?"

i just completed my AFF this weekend. But by far it would have to be my failure of level four. it was a month since my last jump and level four was the first one on my way back. i got out and totally forgot everything i was supposed to do and didnt care. it was absolutley the most beautiful day/jump i have ever seen. i got lost in the beauty and and was grinning ear to ear. i got to the ground and was saying "i failed but my God that was awesome!!!" "GOT LEAD?"

i purchased a mt-1xx rig and conpies which was de-milled. it is in great condition except i have to get the canopies relined. i talked to one of the instructors in Perris yesterday and he said they wouldnt let me jump it there due to it not having any type of tso rating. the military has these rigs rated to 360lbs (im about 350lbs out the door) but apprantly there is no tso ratings. is this correct? is there no tso ratings? if not does the military ratings carry over? hope i didnt waste my money on a rig and wont be able to jump the darn thing. can anyone point me in the right direction? what really gets me p.o'd is he said once i am off student status and have my license i could jump any of my own rigs if they had a tso rating (not the one i bought) and they dont check to make sure you fall within the tso limits!! well what the hell is that? i take that to mean i could jump something not rated for me and have no problem but jumping something i have that is rated to my weight....you get the idea. just goes to show how some laws are backwards. sorry if im getting carried away and getting red in the face. i only have 3 jumps in but am heading back this weekend to finish AFF. my question is, what can be done about the dicomfort i am experiencing from the leg straps? after my 2nd jump i had a hard opening and my legs hurt so bad i didnt want jump again. my legs we very very bruised for like 3 weeks. yes i am a BIG guy jumping a military rig, but what are some recomendations?? should i place the straps way up high and crank them down or leave lower across my legs? what else works well??
