This system of yours never ceases to amaze me as a non American. Thankfully we have a complete different legal system here in Sweden where I live. Okay, if someone messes you up really bad you will only get a tiny settlement, (that barely cover loss of income during the recovery period), from the court but in the end of the day I prefer our system. “The sum of intelligence on the planet is a constant; the population is growing.” - George Bernard Shaw He who dies with the most toys, wins..... dudeist skydiver # 19515 Buy quality and cry once!

Sure it's possible to mount it on the side as well. Don't know if he did some documentation during the process or not though. As far as I know he just meassured it a number of times to assure it was going to be aligned and then he did some drilling and cutting. “The sum of intelligence on the planet is a constant; the population is growing.” - George Bernard Shaw He who dies with the most toys, wins..... dudeist skydiver # 19515 Buy quality and cry once!

A friend of mine are using a Rawa with Canon 400D (not sure of the model name in US for this). He got the Zkulls for quick release and that is one tight fit i can tell you!!! Works fine for him. “The sum of intelligence on the planet is a constant; the population is growing.” - George Bernard Shaw He who dies with the most toys, wins..... dudeist skydiver # 19515 Buy quality and cry once!

What a crap!!!! Just hang in there and let the healing take the time needed. It's better to wait a while than have to give it up due to an injury that is worsend...... It's hard to be patient I know.... Did some stupd shit one day before I had knee surgery... Yes I went ahead and did a couple of jumps thinking "what the heck, I'm having surgery tomorrow any way" I didn't consider the fact that If I had hurt my knee on that day they wouldn't have been able to do the procedure due to swollen tissue. Let the healing be done!!!! Even if it sucks big time.... Yeah, I didn't PLF either and my ff suit and body paid for it (*OUCH*!!!)!!! PLF might save the day!!! In 2005, first jump of the season. It was during the Easter and I still had my old and totally ‘dead’ 218sqf PD 7-cell. It was dead in the sense that it had NO flare power left in it. It was okay to land in 8 knots winds and above but in zero wind…. Well slammer landings each time… This occasion we had zero winds and on final I completely over shot my intended landing spot and right before touchdown I realized that I was going to end up on a taxi way. Since I didn’t PLF that landing either I crushed my medial meniscus. Got the surgery one month later and my knee are still a bit tricky. To be honest, I DO grab my risers now again. But I'm VERY careful of where I put my hands. I tend to grab the risers ver low down now, just a few (4-5) inces above the 3-rings. On that occasion when the shit almost hit the fan (and then me) I actually grabbed the risers very high up and that's why I managed to release the toggles. It was more or less a 'hands up - grab whatever I found - and THEN look at what I grabbed' (too late). I do NOT look up at my canopy before it's completely inflated and it has begun to fly, so that's also a reason to grab the risers low down... Pardon my not so very good english, I was definetly lazy in school *Edit to add* Hummm, downwinder... Been there done that to. The windmarker was actually stuck and I didn't realized thet until I was to low to change landing direction. I got away with just grass stains all over my chest (no I didn't PLF) “The sum of intelligence on the planet is a constant; the population is growing.” - George Bernard Shaw He who dies with the most toys, wins..... dudeist skydiver # 19515 Buy quality and cry once!

Nope, that was Felix Baumgartner (I wonder if I spelled that correct). He used a non propelled fixed wing, this one looks like it have some sort of turbines on it.... One clue if it's Felix in a photo or not: A LOT of Red Bull stickers = It might be Felix NO Red Bull stickers = It's probably NOT Felix “The sum of intelligence on the planet is a constant; the population is growing.” - George Bernard Shaw He who dies with the most toys, wins..... dudeist skydiver # 19515 Buy quality and cry once!

On the 50 jump something. After a solo jump I pulled my PC at 3’300 ft and reached for the risers during inflation. Accidental I got a hold of my toggles instead of the risers. Of course I released them in the process. Got a good scare when my big ass canopy (PD 7 cell 218sqf) was twisting wildly from side to side (yes, even a big ass 218 can do that) above my head due to it now was ‘unbraked’. Pulled down my toggles and was looking for the next set of handles ‘just in case’. I got away with it that time and I stopped reaching for my risers after that. “The sum of intelligence on the planet is a constant; the population is growing.” - George Bernard Shaw He who dies with the most toys, wins..... dudeist skydiver # 19515 Buy quality and cry once!

Opinions on new jumper with digital altimeter?
mrwrong replied to jrcolo's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I agree completely! If you are going to swoop then yes you will need that extra precision that a digital provide. To be honest I got the Viso more or less due to the fact that I was ‘gadget horny’. And with only ~200 jumps (by the time I bought the Viso) I know NOW that I should have waited a bit longer. But I thought ‘I don’t need the analog any more’ I sold the analog. “The sum of intelligence on the planet is a constant; the population is growing.” - George Bernard Shaw He who dies with the most toys, wins..... dudeist skydiver # 19515 Buy quality and cry once! -

Opinions on new jumper with digital altimeter?
mrwrong replied to jrcolo's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
This is VERY subjective. I personally can read the digital much easier. Try a Neptune. I can't read the VISO either. The display is much smaller on the VISO and the Neptune has much better contrast. 1. Analog or digital: This is a fact. It’s no coincidence that most of the instruments (the flight critical) in a cockpit are displayed in analog mode, no matter if it’s on a LCD screen or not. 2. Viso or Neptune: I agree, didn't do the research properly. More or less I went for the Viso only due to L&B's SOLID customer service. *EDIT to add* LOL @ yarak “The sum of intelligence on the planet is a constant; the population is growing.” - George Bernard Shaw He who dies with the most toys, wins..... dudeist skydiver # 19515 Buy quality and cry once! -

I can only agree.... If all companies would have the same level of service there would be NO need for consumer lawyers anymore No I don't work for them, just a HAPPY customer with a ProTrack & a Viso. “The sum of intelligence on the planet is a constant; the population is growing.” - George Bernard Shaw He who dies with the most toys, wins..... dudeist skydiver # 19515 Buy quality and cry once!

Exactly…. Well I know I might have sold myself kind of short from the beginning but with an asshole as boss then that would never change after the first negotiation. But when the ‘rats’ are beginning to abandon ship then it’s apparently easy to make changes. However I know he would never have given me the same pay as my current employer did so it was never an alternative to even listen to his offer. And on that job I was working a LOT of overtime, between 7-800 hrs / year during the 3 years I was working for them. Now days it’s very rare to work any overtime at all, and when I do I’m encouraged to take the time off as soon as possible to even it out.
