I've had an FF2 made for my PC109 and ive got to say it fits perfectly apart from the front rubbing on the Kenko lens when you close the door!! I tried my friends HC42 in the box and it seemed to fit ok too!! However i was wondering before i bought the helmet what would happen when i changed camera model, and i found out that the main difference is the size of the foam pad used. I did think about the option of removing the door at its rivets if the worst happened and a future camera didn't fit. This would just create an open, flat-side-mount helmet i think. Hope you get it sorted Blues "swooper 24/7, 365!" ME on Myspace My Project playlist

Just for your future reference, when i was searching for a lens for my PC109 i discovered the SONY own brand 0.6 lens. This SONY0.6 is actually wider angle than the Kenko 0.5!!!!(i'm not quite sure why) I chose the Kenko 0.5 but when i decide to get a wider field of view i'll go for the Sony 0.6 as it seems really well made and is made for the 25mm thread. Part number is VCL-0625S Blues. "swooper 24/7, 365!" ME on Myspace My Project playlist

Does this site look ground-launchable to you? *PICS*
andyflylife replied to grue's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
There's only one way to find out!! But as already said, be careful and seek as much advice as possible. I'm not experienced at GL at all but the picture is of my local site that i've launched off once and intend to do more of this year. The slope was meant for grass skiing but is never used. Despite its size, the landing area is tight!!! (behind the trees!!) The landing area at your site looks massive Have fun, blues "swooper 24/7, 365!" ME on Myspace My Project playlist -
I dont know whether id say i learn anything about canopy piloting from flying my power kite, but my canopy flying style definitely crosses over to the way i fly the kite!.. ..that is, lots of slow high, braked flight then big ass dives and swoops I love swooping my kite over all sorts of things whether its trees friends or dog walkers CREW is also a good laugh with kites and not so damn scary as the real thing My kite is really a toy version of my real canopy where it doesn't matter if i screw up!! NEED HELP WITH WIDE ANGLE LENSES
andyflylife replied to davidfreefly's topic in Photography and Video
Hi y'all, Just my observations. When i was looking for my 1st w/a lens i tested both the Kenko 0.5 and the Sony 0.6. I was surprised to find that the Sony 0.6 had a much wider field of view than the Kenko 0.5, which really confused me... Anyway's i bought the kenko as i'm a newbie to flying camera and it seems to give nice results!! -
Hi y'all, sorry if ive not searched well enough for a previous thread but ive just spotted a new game on the web. http://d3company.com/base.html Whats the story with it...when and whats it going to be playable on. i need it in my life now........NOW!!!!!!!!! Ive seen one method where a flat washer/penny or similar is placed under the front or back of the camera between it and the bracket base. This enables the camera to be tilted to give different angles rather than tilting the bracket. Haven't tried it myself yet!...could work. Blues. "swooper 24/7, 365!" ME on Myspace My Project playlist

Hows it going Martin?? You seem to be getting on well with the Sabre mate from what i've seen!! I'd heard and seen similar things about the stiletto. If you talk to Mike Gorman he learned to swoop on his original Sabre then downsized to a Sabre2 135 to progress and swears by it. Personally i'm staying away from elipticals like the Stiletto until i can swoop the arse off my sabre Blue ones dude!! "swooper 24/7, 365!" ME on Myspace My Project playlist

A few of us went into Hinkley last year to a great curry house. Think we're eating in this year but Dominos sounds like a good plan!! Then Langar on Sunday afternoon to blow out the hangover See y'all there "swooper 24/7, 365!" ME on Myspace My Project playlist

Like everyone here has said, keep looking for a cheap ZP canopy.... But if you do end up with a Falcon i jumped a 195 for my first owned canopy loaded at 0.9 and was amazed at its glide, zippyness and flare power. Loved it to be honest. The only bad thing i experienced was some hard openings but think this was mainly due to packing technique!! and sloppy bungee maintenance. "swooper 24/7, 365!" ME on Myspace My Project playlist

Did any tables (or other furniture) get trashed last year after the comments made in the meeting about 2004? "swooper 24/7, 365!" ME on Myspace My Project playlist

Sure are, i'll be there for my 2nd year. Well up for it Kinda thinking even more beer money will be spent this year due to the crap january lack of jumping weather!! Blues, Andy "swooper 24/7, 365!" ME on Myspace My Project playlist

Quote but I'd advise against jumping on the rear riser landing bandwagon just yet. Of all the landing techniques out there it's become the latest offender in people slowing their progression down. There are a million other things you need to focus on before you'll see any rewards from them, and I doubt you're there yet. _______________________________________________________ Thanks for your thoughts on my rear riser habit being a bit pre-mature. It is a bit of a habit/trap ive fell into, and i can understand the reasons behind not using rears for swooping until ultra proficient. Being in the corner still on rears and not realizing soon enough to dig out with toggles wouldn't be a good thing!!.........Point taken. Sorry for the thread drift, back to the canopy im just wondering if the similarity to the stiletto would make it a bit hot for a first Groundlaunch canopy. Maybe a Canopypiloting.com question?? Thanks for all the great input about the canopy. i jump a Sabre 135 at the minute and am learning to swoop including using rear risers. The jonathan 120 im looking at will be used for groundlaunching as i want to put my wingloading over 1.3:1 If i buy it though i could be tempted to rig it up and hop and pop it Any thoughts?? CRW basics course for non-CRW jumpers?
andyflylife replied to flyinghonu's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
QuoteI try and do some CRW every skydive Yeah same here, 2 or 3 of us at my DZ have started flying patterns together after skydives. Totally awesome flying relative under canopy, but as we are all novices at crew i intend to get some proper coaching this year. One of my skydiving goals for 06 Blues, Andy "swooper 24/7, 365!" andyflylife replied to andyflylife's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control

Discussion on that rear-riser tandem swoop.
andyflylife replied to Mikki_ZH's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Does being in shape also govern whether the tandem swoop is created by front risers or a toggle whip? Damn the riser pressure must be immense! ... "swooper 24/7, 365!" ME on Myspace My Project playlist -

Quote. I have no interest in swooping and that stuff because that shit gets you hurt ___________________________________________ It only hurts if you get it wrong!! Good safe swooping canopy pilots show some of the most awesome canopy flying skill and judgement, in my opinion. Being scared of the canopy flight and landing is a challenge for you to overcome, and you never know what you might be into with your canopy in a few hundred jumps!! Anyway sorry to go off topic......stay safe, have fun! Blues! "swooper 24/7, 365!" ME on Myspace My Project playlist
