    Binaural Beats

Thanks for trying I think they have some that have a more soothing background but then how do you know if its the background noise or the beat notes

    Binaural Beats

Listen to the following link. File at wikipedia Reply how you feel/felt. Then read below. Binaural Wikipedia Its not a SPOOK audio file or anything. If you dont trust the link just goto wikipedia and search for binaural beat. And the audio file linked above is the second one towards the bottom of the page. The first one I dislike. I think it works but just want to see if its just the placebo effect or really might work.

    Wax bullets

Not all guns, and not all people 'mean to kill.'

    Wax bullets

http://www.gunfighter.com/waxbullets/ For home defense. I'm thinking these could serve two purposes. Noise, flash, pain as a scare tactic to get the intruder to leave. Since it is a 'gun' would it still be lethal force? Or be similar to chasing them off with a paintball gun.
  5. How was the guard to know he only dropped his water bottle and not up to something else? Put yourself in the guards shoes. Your staring forward and see movement past the line, you turn to address it. Situation 1: Turn repeat the phrase they were told whenever ANYONE passes the line. Situation 2: Turn start saying the phrase, stop half sentence and say "oh sorry didn't see you just dropped your water bottle."

  7. Pretty sure they use the back door. Only the truly adventurous use the one behind the cockpit

  13. Damn tugboats, with one toggle buried on a 280sqft loaded at 0.9, I still couldn't get that sucker to go fast. Think I averaged 135-140mph on my Aff3
  14. Well if you can download videos on your pc out there. http://www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=category&id=15
  15. Did you watch fandango to the skydiving part?
  16. Well is has been 2 years since my last report. Up 10lbs, now 50lbs from my goal But I just kicked a bad habit. Got to restart the lifestyle changes again. Anyone know a good way to stop sliding back into old bad habits other than kicking yourself because you cant jump
  17. http://www.p4c.philips.com/files/d/dvdr3475_37/dvdr3475_37_dfu_aen.pdf page 9 Just connect the video (Front 11, rear 1) not audio and make sure its set to the right input source (front or back, they are different) It looks like (Rear 3) is what should be going to your tv. Btw, not trying to imply you dont know how to hook it up but its always good to check the basics....I know someone who owns an electric repair shop and I dont know how many times hes replaced fuses for $25 just because it takes him 30 mins to go over everything and find the fuse blown He now checks the fuses first
  18. I cant find a phillips model 3425 online anywhere
  19. My step-father was stationed at YPG and we were living on base. I was getting out of school one day and saw a big commotion at the baseball fields and headed over to see what was going on. As I reached the crowd I see this huge yellow x on the grass and heard an airplane headed by. I looked up and saw the Golden Knights exit and just stared in amazement until they landed. I was 9 years old. Then 9 years later I was in high school in Yuma still and 'some crazy skydiver' was going to break a world record for most jumps in 24 hours. Yep Jay Stokes. So we drove out to see it and watched for awhile but it was at night so we just got to watch his glow sticks...kinda boring to a non-jumper to watch. Anyway, a radio station had bought a few Tandem jumps to do a few giveaways and sure enough I won one. So my first tandem was with Jay Stokes little did I know. I still got the video ;-). I got up to 18 jumps and had to leave the sport for awhile but every day I want to go back. Most non-jumpers just read the stories of those crazy skydivers that are flying into power lines etc... but what they miss is the support, friendship, understanding and a lot more. I think those that most call crazy are the ones that are actually alive.... If you can jump out of an airplane, what can't you do? Jumping put some things in perspective for me. It helped give me some direction in life (started jumping in college) where I KNOW that I can not live the rest of my life staring at a computer watching life pass me by; but I am in control to make it happen. Has skydiving affected you personally? They say males think about sex every 8 seconds. I think I changed to skydiving every other 8.....or sex while skydiving. Why should someone try skydiving? NOTHING compares to it; for those few minutes you are completely free. All the little things fade away. Its just you and life. Other thoughts? Too many people are losing sight of life. Goto work, sit in a cube, goto some meetings about meetings you had last week, go home, grab fast food or toss in a microwaved meal, realize you don't have enough retirement saved up, work till you die..... edit. Added a few things and put into paragraph form. Reading FTW
  20. May sound dumb but is your DVD player a DVD burner too? And I'm surprised the DVD played through the VCR. Usually they do something to the output of the DVD player where if it goes to a VCR it wont play (to stop people from copying DVD to VHS). Edit... Ok saw you say it was DVD writer. I would make sure your not trying to put an Analog (output from the VCR) to a Digital input on the DVD burner.
  21. I was trying to find some videos of old jumps just out of curiosity and came across this. I searched the forums with no luck so I hope this isn't a repost. So whos going to stick this on their next skydive edit or tandem video? Gets kinda catchy after a few play throughs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8tIcgdZ-ko Tags: Ben Richardson 'sky diver' 1979
  22. Make it unavailable. Im in the process of dropping 30lbs to start jumping again; 6 down many to go. Anyway, I dont know your situation but not having food where it can be easily eaten is helpful. Take a sack lunch to work with carrots/apples and do not go to the vending machine; before you start getting hungry drink some water...then some more. Also, a complete restock of the fridge/pantry can help too. When my wife and I started doing this diet our grocery bill jumped up about $100/mo, but we no longer eat out 2,3 sometimes 4 days a week which is well over $100/mo. Most of all its a lifestyle change; its not supposed to be a "fight" to eat the right things, trick your body, punish yourself etc... It should be a gradual change or your going to hate it and jump back into the mindset and eating habits that got you there in the first place. G'luck and see ya up there soon. Granted this is for a rather large weight loss but can help prevent weight gain too.
  23. Wasn't sure of the best title for this but here goes. I currently have 18 jumps that were done almost 2.5yrs ago. I weigh 253 as of this writing down from 263 two weeks ago. I contacted a local DZ where I moved to and was told I needed to be around 230 because of the gear they have and thats fine and I'm working on it
