Time to strike impeachment from the Constitution.

Wrong person, and off by 400+ miles.

Here's your Republican family values Christian:

I was hiking 48 miles southeast of there today, and could see SF and Mount Tam. Pretty splendid day.

If you spend most of your driving time on long road trips, it will take you more time (unless you/your family likes to make frequent potty stops anyway). Most people I know with EVs rarely wait at a public charger. They charge at home overnight, using no waiting time at all, or at work, or at the grocery store while shopping, etc. Saves time every week, vs. stopping for gas. One charge every 8-10 days would have be adequate for my driving when I was working. And I'll put this here:

I'm from Georgia, I know where her district is. Did you look up opponent in the primary?

Fox "News" slips from 1st to 3rd in cable viewers in January, as viewers seek reporting over bloviation.

The amazing thing is that Greene won her primary, against a very credible opponent.

No, it looks like the sources on Lin Wood are credible. Like the vaccines, a very small fraction. Of concern, but not that significant.

Here ya go: https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=3777268 Ultimate efficacy is way better if there is a longer interval before the second dose (more than 6 weeks).

Here's a guy who was sentenced to only 6 months of home confinement (aren't most of us doing that these days?), a small fine, and 3 years probation. https://www.ajc.com/news/johns-creek-man-sentenced-tried-to-sell-50-million-face-masks-he-didnt-have/LM3DW5PYRFFVLN75CF2QQFXG5M/

Time to just drop the COVID relief payments...
headoverheels replied to Westerly's topic in Speakers Corner
You can say that about SSI and Medicare too. Medicare sorta has one, in that they charge more for premiums if you make more. Actually, if you made more on your return 2 years ago, since that is what they use for "means." The R proposal does limit the stimulus checks to lower incomes, but that would probably be based on previous income, not current situation. I donate payments when I get them, or before, to a local food bank. Not sure what my wife did with her $600 payment, but she gave the $1200 one last May/June to a personal service provider who was shut down by the pandemic (and who doesn't exactly do great financially in normal times). -
As important is the fact that pretty much zero people die from Covid that have had one shot (plus a few weeks), and few are hospitalized. They still may get sick, but not as sick.

When there is a real lockdown anywhere in the US, this might be an interesting point. But there isn't. Countries with real lockdowns, or at least closer to it, have fared better.

Public service announcement for Trump supporters
headoverheels replied to billvon's topic in Speakers Corner
He should run for the House. -
This is totally expected, following the idiot surges associated with Thanksgiving and Christmas mingling.

But then you might get many with the same name, Schooley Mc School Face.

But is he beaming up or down?

Is Donald trump Trying to Lose the Georgia Senate Election?
headoverheels replied to Phil1111's topic in Speakers Corner
The only candidates I supported financially this election that actually won. -
There does not seem to be a top golf brand starting with Q, so this was always going to be the outcome ... unless Trump starts one.

The funny bone is the ulnar nerve.

A study in the UK found no difference in mortality for hospitalized patients receiving convalescent plasma. i.e., just as many patients died. It may be that, if it were administered earlier (before they got so sick), it would help. It's not that widely available or cheap, so routine administering upon positive test isn't going to happen anyway, so that is academic.

The one on the right wouldn't refuse to wear a mask when advisable.
-
He said that because there was a severe shortage of masks and other PPE, and he didn't want the medical providers to go without. It is true that some people wearing masks might stand closer to others than they would otherwise, reducing the overall benefit. People do also "fiddle" with them -- this is one reason you do see people driving with a mask on; if they are running a series of errands, it is better just to leave it on rather than fuck with it. I personally sanitize every time I get back into my car, and use a different mask for the next stop. I really haven't been in that many establishments since last March -- maybe 20 or so visits in total.
