so if i understand you correctly an offheading is jumper error? and of course i did not mean the flip of the coin like life/death. but just the highlighted part.... so dont focus on the coin, but on the theoratically controllable stuff and practical improbabillity (sp?) of controlling it.....

ussually thinking "sh*t i really dont want it to open that way" gives me the worst offheadings... so i guess bodyposition.. but i also tried to let it open offheading by dipping a shoulder and it would open to the otherside it was supposed too. maybe its just the mood your canopy is in

can you tell me the advantage of a soft yoke over a standard yoke?

made four jums allready from ocean into a snowy white valley..... conditions are perfect, snow makes it easier to reach some exit points. we are the only jumpers around.. were the f*** is everybody what a waste of perfectly good weather... :) see you around...

only first year FT =] first that come to mind are marked on attached picture triceps for arm extension latissimus dorsi for pulling down trapezius to keep your arms and shoulders back think there are more ... google around for muscles and their use =] -

somebody know the name or website from the maker of the magnum canopy? want to look up some info on forward speed etc might find it on the label on the chute of course.... but its packed :) and too windy to jump if anybody could give me some help , would make my day =] edit : spell check

i jump a sabre 170. first 50 to 80 jumps were no problem , but all of a sudden it started to open very hard. "the pain in my back for a week hard" lucky for me someone at my DZ taught me a packing thing , and now i sometimes have openings which can take up to 1000 ft no rolling of the nose... just pushing it in between , push the slider out and fold in the flaked parts the same way as the nose ( cant explain very well :) )

pd 160 is a very nice canopy... mine is some sort of yellow... it flies great. landings are great. had to land it down wind and was no problem edit: in combination with a sabre170 , ps it is the only reserve i have jumped so far , jump 90 was my 2nd ride

the first side is not the problem... but before all lines on one side are gone , the canopy will be spinning in every possible direction. After that you will be hanging/falling on 1 riser. should be possible to cut that one to. so i think it is possible , and maybe even a good option. but plz don`t drop the hook knife! ps: im a 150 jumpwonder =]

this is exactly what is so confusing about the PC in tow discussion.... I am keeping two the cutaway first method , but this is only because im not sure what the best option is , and the cutaway and pull is the thing i was taught... would be nice if there somehow was a single statement about this issue... but just as the RSL debate i don`t think it will ever happen
