  1. So in one post you concurrently labeled yourself as a nerd and expressed a desire to install Novell. My plane of existence is collapsing. Seriously, I have no idea, because I never touched Novell and shed no tears over it. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  2. Well, if you have a fuel injection, you 'remap' the the fuel curve the tells the injection what to do coming from the ECM (brain) This allows your fuel curve to match your air curve. The reason why is because when you add aftermarket exhaust your air curve is distractly different from stock. It is called a curve because it resembles a curve when graphed with one axis as RPM. If you have a carb, you do this by 'rejetting' basically bigger spouts for gas. As for the 2 into 1 Pro HS. It does not have adjustable baffles (at least not the HD version) But it does have removable baffles, with two cartridege options: http://www.accwhse.com/vance&hi.htm#Baffles -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  3. Are you doing regular baffle or high performance baffle? You should hear them with the high performance baffle....you talk about airflow....holy cow. However, I would strongly recommend either a rejet or remap if you between the regular and high perf baffle. There is that much difference. I had a buddy with a high perf. baffle and he went back...it was just too loud. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  4. Yes, it could be PCA, but looking at the length and the landing area (maybe an airshow?) I think it is a stunt. I have heard about it before, and had a previous DZO agree to let me do it with a rappelling harness and 50' rope. Then he sold the dz.....oh well. I think it would be cool sometime. Or you could jsut do this: http://www.flightjournal.com/articles/skyhook/skyhook.asp -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

  6. Except all of those are still used There is a whole subset of music, which can collectively be referred to as that Wayne Keese/Van Halen genre that I cannot hear without thinking of tarmac, nylon, and cessna exhaust. The likes of VH - Jump, Ram Jam - Black Betty, Poetry in motion, Freebird, Dangerzone. Not really petty because I was a fan before jumping. My 70s song votes for tandems would be: Fleetwood: Go your own way Gueen: Bohemian Rhapsody Gaynor: I will survive Maybe BGs: Staying Alive The freeflyer would be using aggiedave's acid jazz and stuff like: Ramones: I wanna be sedated Black Sabbath: Sweet Leaf or Into the Void Zeppelin: Custard Pie Floyd: Wish you were here. I don't know just some guesses. I was not alive yet :) That would rock, actually, video with freeflyers wearing 'conventional' gear and balloon suits and dubbed in glorious 70s sound. That would be a sweet project.....hmmmm... -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

  9. I have no idea on origin. But I love the 'scooter' term, as it seems a lot of old times use it. It seems to have that laid back low rider vibe, like "Chort Chhhevy" or something. And I never say motorcycle, too many syllables. It is always bike or scooter. Just remember, I don't want pickle, I just wanna ride on my motorsickle. And I don't wanna die, I just wanna ride on my motorcy........cle. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  10. Agreed, the absolute best pipes on the market in my opinion. Although make sure you get the HS version, less bluing. However, AD doesn't like 2 into 1 pipes, already tried to sway him -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  11. Like a bazzilion other questions: It is all subjective. However, I don't think anything about this makes its failure imminent. Based on personal experience, I think you may have more of a chance of success than if the ages were reversed. Just keep in mind, people at those ages have typically had very very different experiences and conclusions about life. However, you are a 39 year skydiver, that may change a lot. And she may be a very mature 22 year old. What are you both looking for? Commitment, just fun? If you are both the kind of people that don't have to decide right now, I say go for it. Enjoy it, hang out, get to know her. Then you will be infinitely more qualified to answer than we are. 12. I started to say "....but you don't want his number" I know what you mean bro. Been there, done that, on both sides. In the end you will never be happy if you are that guy. I used to think you could if you were both the right people. But I think it is very much against the odds. My advice would be just be her friend. If her relationship is not meant to last, then wait for it to end for that reason and act as a friend. While that sounds good, it can be very hard to do. So, if you feel you must back off to protect yourself, I totally understand, and know why you are venting. If she asks about it, just be honest. In the end whether anything happens or not, she should respect you more for being a man of integrity. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  13. In Texas we do Taco Cabana. It is officially part of the 12-step drunkeness program. The do pseudo-fast mexican food (much better than bell and bueno) If you cannot find one of those, a taquito from Whataburger can be almost as good. After that, you start raiding the fridge and eat whatever looks good, ask AggieDave about this. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  14. As much as this is starting to sound like an SC thread and I don't want to add to that, it really all boils down to personal responsbility. You can be distracted by a lot of things, from extreme like cell phones and in car DVD to others like passengers or bee. When you take out an insurance policy you are quite literally betting on your ability to conduct your car safely. That being said those damages can affect other's health and monetary assets. Having considered that, I think it is impossible and ridiculous to legislate every habit, sometimes life is just dangerous. If you can afford a $250,000 automobile and take it on the road, my insurance should not be required to cover it, as it was not my choice to drive it. However, this is a different case entirely. This is a habit that has become extremely prevalent, and which people seem ignorant/complacent enough to refuse recognition of. There are a number of studies out, here is just a snippet from one http://www.nsc.org/issues/idrive/inincell.htm So.....if we reconize something has a dramatic effect? Why not do something about it? Many places are considering or passing a law to cover handheld cell phones. New Mexico for one already has one. Now, it can actually be more complex than that, as many place already have a law against something that could very easily cover that refers to reckless driving or driving under distraction. However, that becomes almost impossible to enfroce prior to an accident. So, I can see the point of 'handheld' laws. Personally, I don't see any right that is violated, and a lot of studies that back up using an ear piece at the very least. What is really gained by defending recklessness? -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

  18. In light of many many many things said lately, I am really sondering why sedition and treason are no longer 'realistic' crimes to prosecute? Have any idea what some of the recent comments would have earned you in WWII? It is just ridiculous and demoralizing. And that is the best possible analysis. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  19. I see your point, while I don't totally agree with it. Either way it goes the other way many many many times in cases where a superstar is not involved. If it went this way in a high profile case, I am crying no tears. I think we are overrun with gratitious litigation in this country. The fact we are even debating this speaks to that. So many people have cried wolf, there is ensuing debate whenever one gets mentioned. Rape and sexual abuse is a very very grave subject. The individuals that have cheapened it by false suits have done as much damage as an attacker. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  20. If there is even a possiblity that a 'victim' had sex at least once after the incident and then when to the police, the entire bulk of physical evidence is no longer evidence. There were a lot of questions raised that were far from unfortunate in my opinion. The lack personal responsibility these days is absolutely ridiculous. If you don't want something questionable to happen then don't end up naked in the room with someone you know nothing about for starters. Additionally, if you do choose to take action against something that happened from a bad situation, then do so ASAP, and play it straight. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  21. Actually seriously, studies show that the biggest factor in infidelity, etc is not 'hot' but accessible and willingness. And as far as Kobe and O'reilly, there is such gold digger risk, who can even be sure. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
