  1. I agree. But lack of application does not change the validity of an answer. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  2. Nope, nor is making millions. Doing it at the expense of others, including step children, etc, etc. while being a general tacky unclassy role model and selling that image is a bid sad and unfortunate. A nation of people buying into it is downright depressing. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  3. You know who is to blame? WE are! The collective society. We keep buying the stuff. We keep tuning in. We keeping buying the magazine that objectivify women while telling them we objectify them. How many popular mechanics magazines you seen set standards for women? Reality TV blows, all the hype blows. We would much better off if we accepted our lives, quit covetting and started helping others. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  4. Yes, yes you do. I know men who have hit on you...and I have seen your pictures in magazines......for MUCH better causes than Britney I might add -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  5. Ummm, you didnt say anything about her. You criticized us for being judgemental. Umm, kettle, this is the pot. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  6. I dont think Dave and I are NOT 'letting' her do anything. Rather we are exercising our right not to patronize it and are wondering about the position of those that do patronize/approve/condone....the lines between them are very very very thin. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  7. Which is probably why you are not in the spotlight and she is. I doubt she hates it. The idea of 'rich pity' never made sense to me. How many of us complain about being forced out of airplanes? Oh...it is so hard....I pity all the TMs...what a rough life. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  8. Yep. She had choosen her path. I don't idolize sports figures either. Justifying her behavior by saying you have seen worse might be the oddest piece of logic I have seen. People should be discerning. PERIOD. It is an attribute modern society lacks. In regards to Andreas comments, I respect them. But I am tired of leaving people alone. There is no third part 'they' Our society is governed by choices 'we' make. Out television and media has idolized the likes of Britney Spears and then we are surprised that young girls are mothers at 16 and seek out bad company while grown men are attracted to them?! There is no scale to ethics people. Judgement and consequences roll over the entire scope of human behavior. Most people with an convaluted life are there becuase of a decision they never suspected would be make a difference. True role models are the people that transcend that layer. The people that may even deny themselves something because they know youngsters are watching. For the record....this usually does not 'sell' so you won't find these people in the national spotlight. You don't seek out movie/music stars for ethics, you seek them out for talent and vanity. Why are you really very surprised to see someone say that you get the same back? -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  9. Ooops, did we just romp on your idol? My apologies. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  10. They are kinda near a nice scuba lake...kinda. Other than that...ouch -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  11. There are plenty of people worht glorifying and idolizing. She is not one. Pointing out that she is adulterous, and a home wrecker with bad judgement is not judgemental, just observant. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  12. Ask Dave what I think about expiration dates? If it smells ok, I am eating it. It is my primal instinct. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  13. Yes, it is a wallaby. seen somewhere before on the wide wide intarweb. And...give me a shotgun...snakes creep me out big time. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  14. Attention Beaumont Travelers...that town sucks. Leave immediately and drive north to the Sam Houston national forest. Enjoy. Rinse and Repeat. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  15. Dude, that is awesome...someone is seriously living out some stuff they feel they missed in high school. But then everyone thinks Napolean Dynamite is cool, even the people who would have made fun of him...so.....who knows. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  16. ACTUALLY.... I heard it here first: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1551274;search_string=britney%20pregnant;#1551274 REPOST POLICE AND....destroy her body with pregnancy? I have you seen here body recently?!? Besides guys this is so 1990s....GOSH! Britney is washed up, has been for a while. Only time she looked hot IMO was on Monroe lookalike pose on Esquire. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  17. You might also enjoy Virtual Desktops via Powertoys. I like everything about it, except how it orders apps on the task bar. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  18. It's a good idea, but a poor execution. I love the concept and would love to see it applied, BUT this thrid party aftermarket has issues, namely: The 3d mode if good for viewing, but you must leave it to grab focus. It is a resource HOG. Still I hope they continue developing it. I played with it about 18 months ago, and this current version has come a LONG way. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

  22. Really hard to reply without context. Guys call each other bitches all the time. That said, yeah I know you said by your SO. Is it ok? No. Does it happen? yeah. Fighting is not ok, screaming is not ok, any other cursing probably not good either. BUT...it happens...sooner or later, that person in the world that can hit all your right buttons, will hit a wrong one and frustration or anger will take over and you will say things you regret. The question is how you respond as a couple after that. Can you come to grips with how you feel, make apologies, offer forgiveness, and clarify what you think the severity level will be next time it happens? That it is the difference....IMO Anyone who summarily makes something unforgivable on first occurence is incredibly hard to deal with. On the flipside, anyone who does not give credence to a heartfelt concern or heart when felt the first time, is hurting the relationship and themselves as much as anything. So, I guess, my take is that there is a lot that is 'ok' if you recover from it together and modify expectations in the future as a couple. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  23. You MUST watch Faster. ON a big screen with good sound if you can. http://www.fastermovie.com/trailer.html -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  24. Yeah, we were all in a pic thread dave posted a long time ago...about now and then. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_attachment;postatt_id=36033; We used to build some cool crap. Now I am a CIS Analyst by trade, but run a helpdesk, Curtis is a EET who works with me, and Dave is a tinkering, welding, tandem master fool. It is actually a half decent start to a Junkyard wars team. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  25. Yeah...I have a case mod never finished. Started in 01 when noone was doing it. Had a panel laser cut, used a parallel LCD to scroll winamp ID3s, had a sound sensitive neon, airbrushed, and my favorite....hand replaced blue LEDs in my floppy, DVD, and CDRW drives. But as I graduated there was a lot more important stuff, and then everyone decided we were cool and started with creative case mods. Well...it is still half finished like a hulking frankenstein case. Aggiedave and I and another of our inseperable trio used to hack all kinda of stuff, electronics, paintball guns, etc. Now most of mine is confined to my PC, my car, and my bike. But without fail everytime I get into a hobby the learning curve is straight up, and then I can fiddle, add, mod, etc. I never just 'do' anything it seems.
