  3. I've got DISH. No complaints. Kinda depends on what programming you want. DISH has a bit more HD content, but DirecTV is catching up quick. With DirecTV you can get 3rd party decoders (SONY) with dish you are stuck with Echostar stuff. If you want HDTV and can afford the $$$ go DISH. Otherwise, go with the best deal. illegible usually
  4. In many cases, yes. Sucks but it is actually legal - unless they violate ADA. If you can't do your job, your employer is not under any obligation to continue to pay you. There is the "reasonable accomidation" provision for disabled persons under the ADA but police and fire depts are largely exempt from this act. illegible usually

  19. Yes and no. The difficult part about shifting really really nasty stuff like anthrax around in a country that has been bombed to shit with a bunch of people that are not VERY well equipped and trained is there tend to be dead people left around as evidence. Yes, there are a lot of dead bodies in Iraq, but I tend to think we would notice a few anthrax cases or incidents of chemical weapons poisoning. So basically, I don't think the " ne'er-do-wells " have the stuff. It might be buried in the desert or sold to Syria, but I doubt it's gone to the terrorist groups. illegible usually
  20. I think taking cases on contingency is a necessary evil to allow those of us that can't afford to pay thousands of $$ up front when we have been screwed. Kinda balances out. I agree with the second part, 100%. Trying to define frivolous can be tough though. illegible usually
