OUCH! Yeah, well......you like crew!

I think chick farts smell worse because they hold them in to the last minute and they get more time to incubate. By the time they reach the atmosphere, the air is stail an really bad. Although, nothing beats my haday period of taking egg-protein-suppliment.

Hey, Did you dudes get any pics come out of this?
-
Of course, I was just kidding. It is the Princeton Hash House Harriers. A running club - actually, a drinking club with a running problem. On occasion, the group get going in red dresses for some, probably arbitrary, reason. This past Wednesday, we ran all over campus. People (whole families) were stunned like groups of deer looking at bunches of headlights. It was the faces that made it allll worth it.

I just meant that I've been looking a little chubby lately. What do you mean?

Incriminating as it may be...... (in the first one, that is me on left and selbbub78 on right!!)

Do you like this month's Parachutist cover photo?
Vertifly replied to lewmonst's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
A few feet back woulda been sweet. If I wasn't a skydiver, then I probably think, 'why is this cool?' The nixon one is cool though and I like the fact that they put goggles over the mask. -
Congrats dude. That is sick!!! She's rad.

Time in sport + flying skills = a deal of overall contribution. Also, I talked about a bunch of other points too. Did you read the rest of it? Standing the test of time, when people come and go for whatever reason, ahhhh.....what the hell, nevermind...sheesh. There was a hell of a lot more in there than that. But thanks for the excerpt.

Am I arrogant? yep, pretty bad about that; at least it would probably seem that way. But I think a lot of skydivers confuse indifference with arrogance. The more you jump, the less you are nervous or anxious about jumping or getting on loads with...well, whoever; it makes a better flyer out of you but a super chill nature can seem a bit arrogant. And so can the experience and knowledge practices that are potentially successful or failure. Meaning, with time, you gather a sense for the skydives that will bomb and the one's that will work. I could be wrong about this but it is hard to be in the sport for a loooong time; seeing the many faces come and go - people you care about or think are excellent contributors. Or worse, they die on you. Anyway, for one reason or another this is a transient hobbie - and I believe this has a lot to do with the "arrogance" being confused with "complacency". And the newbie hot shots often want respect and have no clue who's been around putting mega-time and bucks into our sport over several generations of flyers. Someone at a DZ actually called me arrogant not long ago. Fact is, I was flying like a hummingbird when they were not a glimmer in the DZO's wallet. I personally have lots of respect for the sport itself and the things that flyers are doing now-a-days. The records being broken are cool and stuff. The new angles being taken into consideration. Changes in tracking and such. Very cool. But those who have been supporting the sport for a long time now are the first developers of those ideas. "Tracking" was a means of getting away from people, not a practice of groups and certainly not a challenge. I personally take pride in knowing that the people in my heated-generation gave what they had to push the sport to where it is. And so did the generations before mine. Just a matter of doing what you can and handing the joy of new flying to others and enjoy watching it happen. Contibute what you can, but respect has to be mutual. IMHO.

What is scary is that I understand that and also do. Soon to see in a 5D+ if I ever get a slight grip on string theory.

Huh? Sorry, I didn't get it either...and still don't!! Care to elaborate for the dumbasses!

Wow, imagine how slow your fall rate would be if you had legs growing out of your head like that!

That is a sweeet looking canopy!

Dude, I may have to slit my wrists....I think I felt a shift when it opened those boobs on my computer !!!!

Yeah, it could be risky but just do it. The advise on safety seems good. Have an experienced flyer confirm that the gear is good for freefly. Get out the plane wayyy last, with lots of time from the person who goes out before you. Know altitude throughout the jump. First time head down is FAST and pull time comes quick. That being said. First time I did it was from my belly. So doing it that way is possible. Just dive in, like your lying on your bed (on your stomach) and then slide to the floor into a handstand. Stick the top of your head right into the direction of ground zero and swing the rest up best you can. Speed picks up quick and your spine balances! It takes a while to achieve a working head down position. Unlike flat, relaxing "entirely" is not encouraged. Control and Relaxation are the keywords for flying. They are not opposites here. Freefly positions will institute at least one at all times. It will happen the way you want with the right motivation and mindset. Airtime is a variable but ONLY for currentness. Right off the bat, for head down - legs out, hip and ass muscles are in direct affect. And likewise, with sit, your width is important. Don't be afraid to fly wide. It will take an unusual strength...not a lot, just unusual. Currentness will help with strength. (for practice, hang from a bar and do a split. stick your pelvis out and bend the knees a little and imagine you are head down fighting the wind - keep the spine straight and controlled. in this position you should be feeling your outer ass cheaks tense up) Having said that, with any position, the line of the spinal column controls your immediate position horizontally. Arms and legs are primary for speed control and the good for fine-tuners for moving horizontally. Limbs - dual purpose - fine tuners and speed Spine - one purpose - moves you around that way. Stiffness and limbs close in - speeds up Relaxation and width - slows down. these last two have an irony to them Try meditating this, especially on the way up, and putting into practice. As with anything...muscle memory is key with flying the body through the air. To gain muscle memory it is important to experiment, and experimentation means failing, trying again, then eventual succes. So Alethia, get the guts to just stick your head into the wind and enjoy the speed of it. It is way different (hmmm...and better.

I don't think he was asking a question. Someone here knows something and someone else is asking a question.

It's such a perfect day - I'm glad I spent it with you.

Damn that is nice. 'bout as close to heaven as it gets i think. -
You must realize that 'biffing' news travels almost as fast as a sound wave.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Skydiving needs mass positive exposure to kick start it for momentum. How else will anyone recognize it as a passionate thing to be doing. But gas is probably affecting a lot of this. How much is it for AFF/AFP nowadays?

New Guinness World Record - Wingsuits!

If there is no video or pics, surely you must be talking about dirt diving all this or something. Right!? -
OoookaNoooba!
