Actually I worked non union const. most my life. I am riding the fence right now. I try to get the slackers to work harder as I HAD to work my ass off or get fired at any bosses whim on my non union jobs. Hands down the training the union gives to its member beats none. The union does take a good chunk of pay as well as the lovely state of Ca. When it all comes out in the wash between my home state of Fla. and Ca. the pay(net) is basically the same. BUT.
