Do yourself a favor and find a C-47. They have the bigger door. "PhoenixAir" at Zhills was a C-47 but the rearward "half" of the doorway was not used. There was a door in place that remained closed and essentially changed the doorway to a DC-3 configuration. Something to do with keeping the exit point more forward, whether for CG considerations or for minimizing the possibility of tail strikes, ...or both. Like this.

They were usually in the low 30s, but I remember as many as 40. I thought the early ZHills Turkey Meet 40-way competitions were derived from the ability of the DC3 to carry 40 jumpers. Also, I think 40 was routine on busy days when we had "PhoenixAir" at Zhills but I was under the impression that it could operate profitably with fewer jumpers.

It was terrible! I actually had to find something constructive to do last night. I just surfed porn instead. WOW! They have porn on the interwebs!?

It was terrible! I actually had to find something constructive to do last night. I was shovelling %!%$!#%$ SNOW... over a foot of WET..... HEAVY .... SNOW.... now the freezing rain is kicking in again. If we got a foot of wet, heavy snow here I'd have been out shoveling too. ...But we didn't so I didn't. (Actually it's getting a little warm here.)

That was the best comment so far in the Incidents thread, but it was deleted. Oops! sorry for the inadvertent copycat post. (That didn't belong in the Incidents forum anyway. I also hope for his speedy recovery.)

More like a "touch-and-go".

He's probably not a Giants fan...Being from the Chicago area I understand perfectly, MY two favorite teams are 'Da Bears' and who ever is playin' the Packers! +1 I figured as much... IT must be tough being a Bears fan then Has to be a piece of cake compared to being a Bucs fan!

Not a skydiver ...base jumper. Probably his 9th jump.

Looks like Aaron Rodgers watches the Super Bowl on TV ....just like Brees and Tebow! (My guess is it's gonna be NE vs NY but all 4 of the remaining teams looked pretty good this weekend.)

What's the downside? Same as the last few times. The ones that finally get fed up with the endless scrapping and fighting over there will migrate to here. (That's why they have disdain and even hate for us! ...we are them!) -
They are. Always have been. Yep!

Football is a team game. You could have the best QB in the history of the game on your team and he will still look like a goat if the offensive line is not getting the job done, the receivers are not getting open and if there is no running game to take the pressure off of the passer. On top of that, the best QB in the history of the game can do nothing when the other team's offense is on the field shredding your defense play after play. Throw in the fact that Tebow is only a 2nd year QB in the league and no where near the best and nobody should be surprised that the better team (New England) won last night. Yep! He inherited a team that had lost it's will and direction and was beginning to lose it's fans. Starting at midseason at 1-4 he helped take the team to the 2nd round of the playoffs and set a few records along the way. ...and revived pride in the Broncos and their fans. Tebow & company had themselves a pretty good season. (I really think that the hatred does not stem from his faith. Everyone knows it's really because he's a Gator! The haters are just using his faith so they don't sound so ridiculous in their incessant caterwauling. ) psssst! ...I think Drew Brees lost yesterday, too. And he was supposed to win!

Who was the Playboy Playmate on the month you were born?

That is a seriously awesome pic. You mean from an anatomical point of view? I can count her ribs without a problem... She's almost skinny. I love real women and real women have feminine curves The pose she is in lifts the rib cage up and out, so it exaggerates the rib definition, making her seem slimmer than she is. I think with a normal pose she would look well, pretty normal. But the excellence of pic is not just the woman, it is the pose, the drink (cognac?) in her hand, the rain on the window, she becomes la femme mystérieuse...I instantly felt she was looking out the window of a private car on a train as it rolled by, like the Ezra Pound's famous poem, a "petal on a wet black bough". Thanks for the reply, it gave me another opportunity to shamelessly ogle her! Looks like she was hoping to come outside and play ...but it's raining. Might as well strip and get hammered ...like that poem "There was a young lady from Nantucket...." -

.................................................................... Maybe pure oxygen does not burn, but it does do realllllllly exciting things with the least hint of grease! As a young airman, I once watched a leaky oxygen hose start a fire that burnt through the side of a T-33! Here's the radio operator. I really should try contact his family to get the text of the citation. I think a son lives in Deland. When/where were you around t-birds?
-
Well, yes. The bottle itself wasn't burning but it was causing everything around it to light up. After the bottle was removed from it's mount by the radio operator and thrown out the fire was more easily managed and finally extinguished. I'll try to be more specific next time. Radioman was severely injured and burned and was sent home.
