My guess is that our capabilities are good enough to have already spotted hundreds (if not thousands) of objects, and good enough to have identified them as "not relevant" to this search. i.e., good enough to not send ships & planes on 1500-mile wild goose chases in crappy conditions for what might be a 40 year old discarded mattress or a seaweed patch. No point mentioning any sightings that have nothing to do with the "missing" a/c. Like SoCalJumper mentioned, even Google Maps is probably good enough for that. That image of the 80' long object was pretty bad. But that's just a guess.

Mostly pretty accurate ... in a "blind guys describing an elephant" kind of way. -
Russian legislators approve troop deployment in Ukraine

Mexico has Spanish-speaking Mexican citizens in the US. (Cuba, too!) They should move to protect them. Stage a vote. Take the country. While claiming they aren't. Oh, wait.... -

Grey area, but that might possibly violate the ABM treaty. Likely Russia will argue it does. I thought we withdrew from the ABM Treaty. -

Well, maybe she could buy the packer a bottle. Isn't he the one who made all this possible? -

Congrats! Nothing boosts confidence in this sport more than taking care of business when the time comes. -
We're still talkin' motorcycles...right? Send in the clowns.

I like your analogy. I had a Honda Metropolitan over the summer. Jap bike? Rice burner? Better my sister in a whorehouse than my brother on a Honda! You Harley guys are a riot!! Does Harley make a scooter? THEY DO ! It's called a Sportster... Well, there was this one, too! I sold my Sporty (1977 AMF) to do AFF and buy my first rig.

So, what do you think about Neil deGrasse Tyson's presentation? So far, so good, IMO. I also like his occasional references to Sagan and the original series.

If it was me, and all I was going to use if for is busting around a little tropical town, I'd go for a vintage Vespa.

Well, this rogue Saudi cleric issued the fatwa against the buffet establishments ...not the "drunkards", "gluttonous eaters of meat", and late sleepers themselves. Sorta like Bloomberg's condemnation and banning of extra large sody pops and super-sizing at Mickey Dee's. OTOH, your references seem to lay this responsibility at the feet of the Christian fattys and layabouts, not the providers of food, drink, etc. Secondly, quoting from the article: "Fawzan said the value and quantity of the food sold should be pre-determined before hand. 'Whoever enters the buffet and eats for 10 or 50 riyals without deciding the quantity they will eat is violating Sharia (Islamic) law,' Fawzan was quoted on al-Atheer channel." So, is al-Fawzan's fatwa intended to condemn the business, itself, or does it only condemn the price point of food that is eaten at all-you-can-eat buffets? IOW, does he imply that Sharia would allow gluttony if the eater predetermines that he is going to eat a larger quantity and that he will agree to pay correspondingly more for any food he eats that is valued above the 10-50 riyal (which, I'm guessing is the typical cost for these buffets in S.A.)? Finally, what does a fatwa against all-you-can-eat buffets really mean in practice? Does this mean that followers of al-Fawzan simply must avoid these businesses because they have been condemned? What is their punishment if they don't obey? Or does it mean that these followers are compelled by Sharia to erase these establishments (and their patrons) from the page of time ...like Bloomberg did with baby formula from the hospitals or with trans-fats?

Well, it was before 2012. The District now covers only St. Pete and much of the rest of coastal and urban Pinellas County. Definitely Democrat politics there. I think the Republican influence in the District prior to 2012 was mostly from the Sarasota area and the inland counties. Sink carried Pinellas (and Hillsborough) county in the 2010 Gubernatorial race and really is well-liked in the west central Florida area. But Bill Young was, too, and I think that his coattails had a lot to do with the success of Jolly in that election in addition to the supposed "referendum" on the ACA.
