  1. Yeah, I'd think that manscaping a pigeon would be fairly tedious work.
  2. Hold them as POWs until the end of hostilities ...however long that may be. Same for Gitmo.
  3. Watching "Clambake" this morning. The racing scenes were filmed at Miami Marine Stadium. I was fortunate enough to have raced there for several years during the 1970s and early 80s. I think the movie was filmed in 1967 so the scenery is much the same as I remember. There is an effort underway to restore the modernist Stadium as an architecturally significant site. I hope it happens. [url "http://www.marinestadium.org/index.php/news/231"]Friends of Miami Marine Stadium[url]
  4. Just my .02 -- Do not ban him from SC or the site (unless he breaks forum rules, of course. And even then, I'd allow for language translation quirks.) For me, this is a "look behind the veil", so to speak. For him, also, IMO. Anyone here ever read "Stranger in a Strange Land". The word "grok" comes to mind. Can loosly be applied to understanding Middle Eastern and other "non-Western" cultures.
  5. Sometimes it's a good idea to quote the post you are replying to.
  6. Oh, I can see how that will be successful. Going at it and about to climax when consent is abruptly withdrawn. YES! NO! YES! NO! YES! NO! YES! NO! YES! NO! YES! NO! YES! NO! YES! NO! ........... sorry
  7. Well, they do keep the lights down ...at least until a fight breaks out.
  8. Portillos... so... probably not muslim. "Take a hard look in the mirror, I have." Probably a Jedi.
  9. Why is this news? Stories of people killing "their own kind" rarely make national headlines. Same with the UPS killings.
  10. Don't know about Ohio, but in Florida the guy who got away would be facing two counts of 1st degree murder under the Florida felony murder rule.
  11. Agreed, and my intent with the quotation marks was to highlight the use of a colloquial term. Sadly, this topic has been so politicized and polarized, that all we have left are co-opted labels (sort of like the abortion issue...). If any on that side of the discussion have a preferred term, let me know and I'll gladly adapt. "Gun-Control-Advocate-American"
  12. I agree with Bill as long as I get to determine who's crazy and who's not, and if I can't get into any kind of trouble if I happen to let a nutter slip by.
  13. Yeah, I suppose it's a little like buying a plane ticket ...or a Chevy.
  14. Thanks. Sadly, I can think of several more to add to that list.
  15. Old-timey dive-float, like for 10-way. 2nd place is diving.
  16. Men usually find out what a woman will put up with without having to conduct any "testing".
  17. I think this is the same outfit that said an airliner with empty fuel tanks would have trouble maintaining altitude.
  18. I'd bet they're really pretty if it happens to be nighttime when they catch fire.
  19. But only England and Scotland are kingdoms. Wales is a principality and N. Ireland is something else. Take one kingdom away and unite England with itself? Is the meaning of "UK" a union of kingdoms? Or does it mean a kingdom that is a union of several different political entities, two of which happened to be kingdoms? As an outsider I've Never given it much thought but just assumed it meant England, Wales, Scotland, etc., etc.
