I didn't lecture. I swear. I actually found it amusing. I only lecture when it comes to racism, sexism as well as anything discriminating. I do this in my personal life as well. Only people aren't so willing to defend their ignorant perceptions. If you were darkskinned and lived in south Georgia for a couple years as a boy like I did then you would understand. I do find it interesting when people resort to name calling simply because someone has a differing opinion. www.FourWheelerHB.com

In California, 660k people is just slightly larger than a small town. Has the AK legislature ever been majority Democrat? Has she ever had to fight the opposition? Thanks to oil taxes, citizens get money, not taxes. Has she ever had to deal with an honest deficit? 660k is greater than 0 which is why Obama compared her time as mayor (not as governor) to his leading a campaign. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxUCfdfRnP8&feature=related www.FourWheelerHB.com

I love those guys too. They crack me the frak up. the best part about them is they don't let party lines stop them from pointing out absurdities for a good laugh. www.FourWheelerHB.com

Here you go bro. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zP8uFPWxaA Hah that was sure a lot of double talk. I'm surprised she wasn't better prepared to answer that question. Either that and she was prepared only didn't believe so she stammered through it. www.FourWheelerHB.com

abortionists? LOL I agree with what you're saying as far as the likeliness of Roe V wade changing but did you really have to use that word? www.FourWheelerHB.com

It has to do with blind faith. I feel many would try to find something positive about whomever the VP selection was just because it is the republican nominee. I feel many just vote party lines and not what is best for the country. Another reason I mention bush is because of the common mentality of his supporters and their refusal to believe any facts. They do every thing they can to add fog to the truth. I mean the maybe first lady of the future said she(Palin) has foreign policy experience because she lived close to Russia!!!!!! If that’s not reaching I don’t know what is. I think her being a woman had to do more with her being picked then her experience and that in it self is sexiest, and in my opinion disgraceful. Let me first say I associate with neither party. I feel I must say that because as soon as I start questioning someone they assume me to be in the opposite party which is untrue. I simply scrutinize both parties and am disappointed with what I see. As far as blind faith and refusal to believe facts...both parties are equally guilty of that. Consider Obama's lack of experience for a second....that appears to me as a significant show of blind faith on the part of the dems. Do you have a source for Palin's foreign policy experience remark? In all seriousness I'd really like to learn about it. Speculating the reason she was selected is because she is female is actually pretty darn sexist. Nevermind her accomplishments during her short time as a governor. Her taking on corruption in her own party and winning. Taking on lobbyists. 80+% approvale rating in her own state. Yep nevermind all that stuff. www.FourWheelerHB.com

I'm sure millions of people are viewing DZ.com right now, have read me calling her trailer trash and are now changing their vote. The sad fact is that there are SO MANY like you on the left who are trying so desperately to vilify her. So while you are correct that your one little voice here on dizzy is one of insignificance, collectively, your vitriolic voices are galvanizing the republican party. They are rallying behind her and behind McCain. There is an energy there that hasn't been there that you and your ilk are only adding fuel to, so I say, keep it up. Yup. Obama's thunder has been stolen. As quoted by lawrocket....McCain is a stealy eyed political man www.FourWheelerHB.com

Elitism is arrogance which to me is unbecoming. There are a few posters here who I would consider elitists but I'm not naming names. Noone can justify an elitist attitude. Humility is respectablel. Arrogance is not. www.FourWheelerHB.com

What's funny about people who are against Palin... when criticizing her experience they always forget she is the Governor of Alaska...NOT the mayor of some small town. Even Obama did that. By not even mentioning it you give her credit for it. Make sense? BTW Carl Rove is not running for President. If MCCain made the criticism then you'd have a point. How is GWB even in your post? What does he have to do with the current election? I don't agree with a lot of her views but I wouldn't call her disgraceful. You just seem to criticize her for not having liberal views. Kinda weird if you ask me since she is a right winger afterall. www.FourWheelerHB.com

You do realize your elitist remarks denigrating Palin will only serve to further bolster the right....right? www.FourWheelerHB.com

Did Palin's speech change your vote?
downwardspiral replied to TheBachelor's topic in Speakers Corner
Up to this point I was undecided. Every other week I would change my mind. I really liked Obama and was excited for the hope he promises but once my excitement waned I started to scrutinize him more thoroughly. My biggest issue with him is his lack of experience and since Palin's nomination, not necessarily her speech, I've decided Obama is not qualified to be President so I officially will not vote for him. Will I vote for McCain? I still don't know. HE still has a lot to prove to sway me from voting for Bob Barr. www.FourWheelerHB.com -
I completely agree. They have reason to worry. Even one poster goes so far as to compare Palin to a highschool drop out and trailer trash. You don't do that to an opponent that isn't threatening....you let them cut their own throat while you continue to appear to fight the good fight. And if Biden is as smart as the dems say he is, he WILL NOT underestimate Palin during the debates like many posters have here. They are mostly worried because her existence in this race specifically highlights Obama's lack of experienced and accomplishements. Even a very admired and intelligent poster admits Obama won't be qualifed until January 20th, 2009. If he isn't qualified now or come November then I'm not voting for him...period. www.FourWheelerHB.com

Don't get too enamored. Part of being a beauty queen is being well spoken. But I pretty much agree with everything you wrote. www.FourWheelerHB.com

My final thoughts of Palin before her speech tonight
downwardspiral replied to quade's topic in Speakers Corner
Bombs at killer whales? WTF? Please tell me you never witnessed such a thing. Other than that, barring the killing of innocent animals and any other illegal activities, he should come out smelling like your typical working class husband and father. A man who understand what it's like breaking your back to take care of your family. I was surprised about the 'McCain's the same' comment as well. I understood what she was saying though. I wouldn't call it the gender card as much as the mother card. www.FourWheelerHB.com -

Oh and btw... nice condescending 'in' remark. Not liking my choices does not make me a cynic. Not even close. www.FourWheelerHB.com -

Comparatively being the keyword. www.FourWheelerHB.com -
Indeed. If she speaks half as well in debates as she did in this teleprompter speech, her opponents will be in trouble. My bet is that they're very concerned right now. Agreed. I get the feeling Biden's gonna get his balls busted. www.FourWheelerHB.com

Wait....she's not qualified to be VP but Obama is qualified to be POTUS? How does that work? And yes it's fitting and very American the, potentially, first female VP is attractive.....unfortunately. www.FourWheelerHB.com

For the record I am neither 'party'. I most closely resemble a Libertarian. You're absolutely right. The best the dems could do is Obama. Sadly, McCain is the best the reps can do. Says a lot about both parties doesn't it? But yeah it's going to be a close one and I look forward to the upcoming debates. www.FourWheelerHB.com -
She definitely impressed me. As a VP nominee, she earmarks everything Obama is not. www.FourWheelerHB.com

Is that all you have? You're hoping for dirt on her husband? Other than under his fingernails? Obama's in trouble and he knows it. These next couple months should be very interesting. www.FourWheelerHB.com
