    Kind of hard regulating a well regulated militia if you don't know what arms they have. Anyway, what are you afraid of? The Supremes just affirmed your (not unlimited) right to own a firearm, so confiscation is off the table. because I like my automatic. Also our understanding of the 2nd Amendment differs. My understanding is we, the people, have the right to keep and bear arms to defend ourselves from the well organized militia which is necessary to the security of a free state.     Well it must be a cultural/weather thing because I've been doing it for almost 6 years without a problem. Plus this is sunny southern California so it doesn't get dark here during the day even when it's overcast. As far as someone running me off the road or deliberately trying to hit me....I don't know what they put in your water but you guys must be violent. Over here people tend to be pretty cordial behind the wheel. I'm guessing it's an unintended result of all of our freeway shootings.     It's not as bad as it used to be thanks to the gas prices. More bikes on the road now means more people are accustomed to looking out for 'em. Then again I may just be used to what it's like out here. When I strap on my gear my head is 100% focused on keeping my ass alive and in one piece.     That's a personal choice we all make. I could give a shit about being polite because politeness will not save my ass. Polite to me is getting the fuck off the phone and paying attention to the road ahead, behind, and to the sides and if I have to blind people to get them to do that....so be it.

    I live and ride full time in Southern California. I made a choice to use my high beam during the day because it increases my chances of being seen. Especially during those times where no amount of defensive riding will save you. i.e. left turners. The day I installed the PIAAs is they day my close calls cut down from 1 per month to 1 per year. I also wear a full face dot, snell approved helmet and leather jacket with armor. Does this somehow also mean I'm lazy and use it in place of defensive riding skills? Believe it or not I've been riding full time since the winter of 02 logging almost 40,000 miles and I haven't laid her down or crashed her yet. My defensive riding skills are not in question here. I'm not saying I know better than anyone else but it's my ass out there so I make decisions appropriately. www.FourWheelerHB.com
