  1. Thank goodness they were able to take him down and keep him alive. Excellent job! www.FourWheelerHB.com
  2. Sure, but you know this thread will haunt you for the rest of your DZ.COM days, right? I wouldn't exactly consider setting standards for oneself as well as others to be a haunting. Personally I respect warped for going out on a ledge and taking this position as it takes a certain amount of courage and I hope others follow suit. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  3. there is an amazing amount of animosity on the internet and dz.com is not immune. I will do as you ask for as long as I can but I will also call you out when you stop leading from the front. deal?
  4. I do not know how it works in U.S. Army, but in Russian army being overweight is not an issue at all - a person will be back in shape in 2-6 month. It's the same in the U.S. Army I'm sure. I know it was for the USMC. "Fat bodies" were assigned to the porkchop platoon (morning pt) until they were within regs. My last couple years in I'd maintained my weight just under my max limit for my height. Of course back then it was all muscle. Now not so much. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  5. Ah I tired to find the report but failed. Thanks for posting that. After a quick look my thought was damn....no wonder my recruiter was so persistant with me. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  6. More details emerge. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,572351,00.html www.FourWheelerHB.com
  7. dude, your in OC, and your example is St. Pats day? .. I would think it would be like May 5, or that chavez guy Well I understand why "we" celebrate Cinco de Mayo but I really don't know who St. Patty is or why the fuck we celebrate him or, more importantly, why is it not a national holiday. Besides Cinco de Mayo would probably be lost on our British friends. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  8. 528 ex-girlfriends?! LOL www.FourWheelerHB.com
  9. Like St Patricks Day here! "Who the fuck is St. Patrick?" "Fuck who cares?!" www.FourWheelerHB.com
  10. Perhaps I'm wrong but you seem almost elated. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  11. Didn't Dan Rather do this with an anonymous source? www.FourWheelerHB.com
  12. I'm not googling shit because I am an ignorant American Californian and don't care about anything beyond Orange County so go Fawkes yourself guy! www.FourWheelerHB.com
  13. Depends.....is she coming or going? www.FourWheelerHB.com
  14. Really? I kind of did actually... I guess I'm just an idealist. Last night I was in FedEx kinkos dropping off a small package for shipping. It was right as the last driver was making his pickup so there was a bit of a crowd and scramble to get the packages in the approriate area. A man with four boxes in his arms heavy enough to make him hunch over offered to allow me to go in front of him. Of course I didn't but such a small gesture was huge in my mind and he restored a little faith in humanty for me. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  15. Just give em metal detectors, IED's do have a trace of metal, right? Probably too late by the time you get a reading. Aren't a lot of IED's manure? I wonder if amethane detector would help? It would seem that a truck with a platform 50 ft long, just a foot off the ground in front that detected whatever IED's were constructe dof would work. But yea, these guys were idiots before us and they will be after we're gone, Darwin says just let nature take its course. Metal detectors probably wouldn't work to well when used on a vehicle. Dogs are best. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  16. The poll is more rhetorical, addess the issue. Convince me that teh Iranians didn't care of the swwetheart deal, but were afraid of Reagan as all small countries were/are, but then we have been atatcked regardless of who is in office. Let me ask you this...have you ever on dz.com been convinced you were wrong? www.FourWheelerHB.com
  17. Wow. Didn't expect this thread to turn out the way it has. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  18. I agree and feel the same. There are wolves and there are sheep and there are sheep dogs. Although I have never been confronted in such a way, having spent a number of years training in martial arts, I fear my self-defense mechanism will kick in. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  19. Because the primary reason for ineligibilty is weight and physical fitness. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  20. Hmmm maybe others are catching on to his BS? You win for being the only one to understand what I'm trying to point out here. I don't necessarily think it's because their eyes are suddenly open. I think CNN is seeing Fox News' success and attempting to emulate them. They even did a facelift on CNN.com within the last couple of weeks. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  21. My cousin recently joined the Army and he was near 300 lbs when he started looking into it. I believe he got down to 230 and was able to meet the minimum physical fitness requirements prior to shipping off. During bootcamp he was able to shed even more weight and is now 185 lbs after being in for a year. Personally when I signed up for delayed entry I wasn't able to meet the minimum requirements either. With the help of my recruiters on Saturday morning pt sessions I was able to meet those requirements by my ship date. Youth obesity is a problem I'm sure but the article seems to be just a bunch of old retired military farts sitting around with nothing better to do. Here's something interesting...I'm sure we have all seen the new Army recruiting campaign where the kid's parent begrudgingly accepts the kid's desire to join the Army. Well here's why. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  22. Third base! www.FourWheelerHB.com
  23. What I'm most interested is the change in CNN's attitude towards Obama. The article highlights this as it doesn't seem to be full of much substance yet it is the main story in their political section. I'm not disputing the validity of the piece but I also feel it's borderline 'opinion' since the writer doesn't really go out of her way to validate her points. Perhaps a bit of backlash from the White House's attack on Fox News? www.FourWheelerHB.com
  24. I've noticed more and more articles which are critical of Obama on CNN.com. The linked article below I feel is overly critical or at the very least, written just to be critical of Obama. Something I would expect out of FoxNews.com but not CNN.com. What do you guys think? http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/11/04/obama.promises/index.html Edited to add: And it's even the main story in their political section. www.FourWheelerHB.com
