    i took 9 weeks due to a rainy northwest spring.

    at my home dz the rule of thumb is 45 degrees not counting sec. between sticks. i thought this was the safest and more modern method. i know the problems with only using a given amount of seconds, but im not sure why 45 degree method is flawed. i tried the web address posted but it wouldnt come up. can someone explain

    dust devils kick up alot as the ground heats up. this is why youll find less of them in the morning and early evening when the ground is cooler. generly the hotter months are really bad dust devil times and the cooler ones are better. they can and do pop up whenever though. i stop jumping around noon in eloy till 5pm ish. this past may i got pretty fucked by a dustdevil at eloy. after that accident im not so willing to skydive during the peek hours. be careful.

    i really hope you guys are kidding about taking pride in fucking up a 4ways exit. its that kind of bull shit that feeds the anomossity between freeflyers and belly flyers. stay the fuck away from my dropzone we're very high quality people, you wouldnt fit in. im suprised your DZ put up with your bullshit.

    i think its great there thoroughly testing the neptune, i think its lame they lied to people about when they'll recieve there paid for order. we were told 2 weeks. that was 2 months ago. skydivers are always broke that money could be used elswere while ther getting there shit together at alti. you know what i mean?

    yes i mentioned it to our s&ta. my main concern is getting new freeflyers to understand how important headup flying is. it develops all the fundamentals for safe flying as well as your foundation for freeflight.

    ive had 2 close calls this past weekend with 100 jump wonders rushing to be headdown. one streamed past me jst 30-40 feet away from me under canopy. god i wanted to freak out on this kid so bad... so i took a deep breath and waited till i was done packing to "talk with him". his was a prime example of confusing ignorance for confidence 1) no awarness to sliding under sticks 2) cant fly in a sit without corking 3) no audible altimeter i pointed all these mistakes out to him and just got this blank look in return. hey i know we were all flailers at first but i dont think i was this hard headed. How do you all handle these situations?

    whats your question? are you going to hook it in if you down size to a 190? probably not but these forums are not the place to find out if your doing the right thing by downsizing. it may not sound like a bad idea to me but i dont know how your landings are. see what im saying. talk to your s and ta.

    July 22 to the 27th at Skydive Oregon the go/fast pro swoop tour and jump fest will be at skydive oregon. unfortunatly we couldnt get the petting zoo or balloon sculptor this year. i guess the worlds best canopy pilots will have to suffice as entertainment.
