    well, "normal" weddings are.... we got married in the skyvan in DeLand, spending a week in florida, then a week on a cruise...for $5000, total. (including her custom leather outfit and my leather pants!

    Except their company policy is to change the calipers along with the pads on every brake job. Totally unnecessary and very expensive. It's just a nice way to line their pockets. When I asked them, they threw the "safety" flag. I did the job myself. buddy of mine used to manage a Goodyear shop. You would not believe the "bullshit" they were taught to tell the customer to "up sell" them. The oil change and tire rotation was a "hook" to get them into the shop. not only that, i really agree with the fact that american men are dumbing down. hell, you can't figure out how to get under a car...we are so f-ed. ________________________________ Where is Darwin when you need him?

    um, because they fuck up.... alot. they put the wrong weight oil in sister in law's saturn, caused leaks. stripped out the drain plug on mom's car....in both cases, denied the damage. i have wrenched on cars all my life, not really because i like too, just because i can, and i take my time and do it right, not like the quickie shops. ________________________________ Where is Darwin when you need him?

    Not true, I think. Newer, faster, more efficient models are produced every day. The lines improve as well, and some are a lot less maintenance free. "Low maintenance", you say?     my 1967 Shelby GT 500...yes, I had one. It was number 0194 of the production year. But then again, I sold it to a guy who had a GT 350 and a cobra, and needed this one to complete his trilogy...so I guess it is in good hands. ________________________________ Where is Darwin when you need him?
