Just had my 4th and final interview for my dream job. The interview process for this job has been going on for 5 months now and has been extremely stressful due to the length of time its been drawn out. Today it was down to me and one other applicant out of an initial several hundred. I'm sweating. I still have to wait until Tuesday before I will know the results. AAARRRGGGGHHHH!

Probably not as many as you might think. That jump has a hell of a hill. No air, no control.

I met my wife on line. Quite a feat since neither of us are really into chat rooms and never have been. Was my first time in a chat room, looking just out of curiosity. She was looking for some technical assistance. I said "Hi" and she ignored me completely I watched (lurked) for another 30 minutes or so and just as I was about to sign off she responded. Been happily married 6 years now. No kids as we both already have 2 each from previous marriages. Shes a whuffo but thats ok My theory is that it only works if you arent deliberately trying to hook up. I think thats the same for non-cyber space too.

Hi Bill, I have a question about this statement. Let me preface this by saying that I love to read your posts and have mucho respect for your opinion based on the things I have read here in these forums. Seriously, I am not trying to be a smart ass, but it looks like you are saying that one will automatically KNOW when they are ready for a more high performance canopy and that the mere act of asking about it means that they are not ready. I have a hard time with this because I ask about EVERYTHING. When getting ready to change equipment, downsize my main, or whatever, I intend to ask about it. Always have, always will. I put a lot of stock in the opinions of the more experienced folks. I believe that this is what will allow me to become a grizzled, old, massively experienced skydiver someday. If what you say is true, this means that I will never be ready no matter how good or experienced I am. In reality, as a person that proceeds with caution and never does anything too soon, and always asks the more experienced folks what they think before actually doing anything, I think I might be more ready than someone that blindy thinks they are the man and bulldozes ahead without asking.

weird question: Is your breath the same?
Blahr replied to hubguy's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
All kinds of chemicals and hormones get dumped into your bloodstream when doing something very high intensity. A lot of that gets blown off via the lungs as a part of normal respiration. The body elimiantes waste products in a variety of ways. This can definately affect your breath. -
Thats like 2400 rigs a year. Who is buying all those. Everyone I know is poor PS I got a Vector 3. Not cuz the wait for a Javelin was longer. I got it cuz thats the one I wanted

Clinicly dead 2 times (no heartbeat, no breathing) 1. Drowned in a pool at age 5 2. flat lined in ambulance from severe loss of blood at age 28 Obviously I was revived No pre-death experience on either occasion (that I can recall) -

Sports on TV is boring beyond compare. I'd rather watch porno flicks

I think Mia would float away on you...she only weighs about 3 or 4 lbs...but at least you could talk about her with Gary and Keanu while you are freefalling.

I CAN NOT handle this, NS for anyone, Dogs consumed, sign petition.
Blahr replied to airann's topic in The Bonfire
In what way does an excited greet make this more wrong than slaughtering cows? To them its food. We have no right to tell anyone what they can eat. Its food, nothing more. -

Guys, nobody WANTS to see this stuff but this is food. We do exactly the same thing to cows, pigs, sheep, GEESE, and others. This is no moremorally or ethically wrong than what we do in the USA every day. I love my animals and would never want to see tham like this but facts are facts. IF its ok here its ok there. -
11 - 1/2? MY shitty day lasted 25 years!

Today its "Sr. UNIX Systems Administrator." You left out almost all Blue collar fields. Contruction etc. 10 years back that would have been my answer.

As a divorced father of 2 boys, I am one of the lucky ones. I pay my support on time every time, the amount of which which was decided upon through open discussion with my ex-wife based on the boys needs rather than assigned by the courts. We agreed to joint custody as a part of our divorce agreement, and we have a decent relationship where our primary concern is the welfare of our sons. I cant imagine what it would be like if my ex was all hateful and angry and tried to use our children as a weapon against me like so many people do. I have to agree that the arbitrary assumption that all children should reside with the mother is silly and archaic and needs to be reviewed. Its ancient history. Its INCREDIBLY unfair to the fathers AND the children. Not all mothers have the best interest of their children in mind. These decisions should be made on a case by case basis if the parents cant come to an agreement of their own. This is the 21st century. Plenty of folks still use violence to make their point. Unfortunately, the only point they make is that they are fools.

dude, I STRONGLY recommend the metallic silver thread!!! I don't know if you've put it on any of your rig, or your logo, but you still have time to add it!! It looks so good - I wish I had used it more!!

Have things changed THAT much? I got my "A" about 10 years ago and I dont recall having to get hundreds of signatures. I dont even know what half of the stuff you just mentioned means.
