Video at Nationals - Anyone need a camera guy??
hipgnosis replied to chachi's topic in Relative Work
PM sent -
Hey Ron, If you decide to go ahead with doing a DZ.Com >4 way thing at the nationals let me know - I'd definitely be interested in doing it (I'll be there with my team anyway). Bill Morrison/Hipgnosis

Add new canopy/container manufacturer to equipment lists

http://www.hipercanopies.de/ The canopies are the Nitro and the Blade. They are now being sold in the US. Thanks! -
RW full-face helmet for contact lens wearer
hipgnosis replied to Nightingale's topic in Gear and Rigging
I've been using a normal Factory Diver with contacts and have had no problems, either in the air or in the tunnel. Hipgnosis -
That was an awesome jump Lisa. I'm so glad you were able to get out to Perris again. I'm still stoked that the timing worked out where I was free from the team/tunnel to get on it with you. Hipgnosis (Bill)

Personally I listen to http://www.live365.com all the time at home and work (streaming internet music, everything you can imagine), and do the MP3 thing on the road. The best is just recording the live365 streams and dumping them right to a CD-R for playback in the truck, works wonderful and you get hours upon hours of commercial free music Hipgnosis

I might be coming out on Thursday to do some more training. Who are you going to get coaching from? Incidentally my suggestion for your first time in the tunnel is to get there somewhat early so that you aren't rushed and have time to get everything together, talk to your coach, get the video tape to the control room, and stretch. Oh, and the camera is located at the top of the control room window looking down - if you want to see yourself stay under it Hipgnosis

Definitely count me in! Last years is where I got introduced to the DZ.com mob and made some new friends (mouth, viking, etc.) Of course the fact that I'm only 20 miles away from Perris has absolutely nothing to do with being able to make it

At least with my Factory Diver I've found it fogs up on the rare cold wet days we get here. Most of the problem was alleviated by increasing the airflow slightly (reseating the visor to allow more air to flow through). That solved the worst of it, and if it does fog I can normally just tilt my head down and look through the top of the visor and still see fine. Hipgnosis

Would you use a wind tunnel in Raeford, North Carolina
hipgnosis replied to ParacleteAero's topic in Wind Tunnels
There is a rather nice wind tunnel on Fort Bragg.... A bit more difficult to get in to than the local Perris Skyventure though! -
Don't sweat it, I think I can safely say that *everyone* has had a problem with some aspect of skydiving at one point or another. Others, like me, can confidentally say that they've had a problem with several aspects of skydiving at many points You mention a wind tunnel. Can I assume that you are jumping out at Perris? Over 300 jumps with contact lenses with no problems. That being said, I'd suggest you take the following to the dropzone : Cleaning solution (small bottle) Lens drops The lens drops are to use to keep your lenses somewhat moist, if they are near normal and not dried out they tend to stay in much easier. The cleaning solution is for if a lens comes out. When this happens it will normally just adhere to the googles or helmet lens. Land, take it out, put it in a safe place (your mouth will work fine, try not to swallow though), then walk calmly back to the packing area. Rinse it off well with the cleaning solution and pop it back in! Hipgnosis

So how long did it take your tony suit to be made?
hipgnosis replied to TribalTalon's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I've ordered two new Tony RW suits in the past 5 months, both with the 2-4 week rush option. In both cases, even when one was over the Christmas holidays, they arrived at Square One within 5 weeks (gotta add a few days for shipping). Hipgnosis -
I don't know about for a beginner but I can tell you that the Tony Swoop Suit is a very nice jump suit for RW. However you should be careful what booties you get on it, they have some larger ones (Mega Airspeed or similar) that take a while to get used to and are probably way too much for a beginner to deal with.

I've used pre-paid legal before. While they might be ok on contracts and stuff, anything that requires time and effort will not be handled well by them. If your problem is advanced (and it sounds like it is), I'd suggest pursuing other options.

I just grabbed a screenshot (Paint Shop Pro automates it, although you can just hit the Print Screen button to put it on the clipboard). Then, I cropped the image, saved, then uploaded. If you go the Print Screen button then you should be able to paste it into whatever graphics program yhou have lying around. Hipgnosis

Yes, I have a discount that I can use on a complete system so look forward to an upcoming thread on canopy colors! Fortunately reserve coloring is pretty easy in comparison to all this

Thanks everyone! Keep those suggestions coming! I like Quade's input on it and agree with what he said. Taking into account his and other suggestions I've come up with this one (no pink cutaway handle, I'm not nearly secure enough in my masculinity to order one )
-
I'm getting a new container and I'll be the first to admit that I have no taste. None. Ergo, I ask you, the viewer to take a look at three color designs I've picked (keeping in mind I'm going black/purple for my color selection), and let me know which one is best Or, you could post what YOU think it should look like by designing it here : http://www.aerodyne-int.com/sport/default.asp

I tend to like doing cardio every other day at the most. You can then use the other days to lift weights and otherwise develop your physique. You should definitely take the time to stretch out thoroughly before and after exercise though, otherwise you will feel about like you do now The biggest thing to remember is that one or two long hard runs isn't going to make up for a year or so of neglect. Push yourself, but not too hard and you will start seeing results in a few weeks. Oh, and for variety I'd suggest either doing some sports, martial arts, or something else. If you just do the same two miles all the time you'll get bored and burnt out. Hipgnosis
