Working on exporting to a quicktime file to be put on the web. So far using the defaults for CableModem and LAN yield results that are much larger than a Windows Media or MPEG output, and much worst quality (blocky images, sound has that "recorded in the bathroom" quality) etc. So, what settings are you using to get a decent quicktime export from Premiere Elements? For the velcro coming loose I've always found having a rigger install a snap fastener on the helmet works extremely well. Pull it tight, click it closed, and forget about it! Bill

Ok, the Problems Viewing Video link now goes to a MPEG version of the video which should play fine in QuickTime. Enjoy! Bill

Hence one of the problems with using Windows Media Player. I'll work on getting a QuickTime version up today. Bill

Currently the only thing you have to freely register for is the calendars. The rest of it is open to all, including the video. If you go to the front page and click the "Read More" under the Tunnel League news entry it should take you right there, or go to it through the menu at the top "Tunnel Media -> Tunnel Videos -> Tunnel League" If these still don't work let me know so I can fix it (in particular give me the url that is giving you the message about registering). A direct link would be http://www.tunnelfliers.com/TunnelMedia/TunnelVideos/PerrisTunnelLeague62505/tabid/72/Default.aspx Bill

Since no one else has put one up I've added a short tunnel league video to my site www.tunnelfliers.com in the media section. Bill

I've seen it happen several times (MJ, Erin, Dom, Christopher) with the Oxygn helmets. So I just stick to using my old Factory Diver in the tunnel and keep my Oxygn for the sky. Plus I find it's easier to just take it off to tell someone something than to deal with a visor or hear what they are trying to say, plus the chances of the visor coming off are greatly diminished (although still possible). Fortunately you had your understanding team mates to give you the care and support you needed

Bah, the true fun came during Tunnel League later that night...... I'm still amazed that no one puked during dizzy cats (cat - 720 - cat)!

You forgot to mention Snatch Force

Poker Meet time is coming up tomorrow! If anyone needs a video flier, Perris Storm's video guy (John) is available - just send me a quick PM and I'll put you in touch with him! Bill

Another possibility is a problem with one of the usb devices attached to the computer. Unplug all of them. Also, at the start of the bootup you can hit F8 to get some Windows booting options. Select safe mode and see if you can get in to Windows that way. If you can, look at the event log to see what's going on and do a scandisk on your disks. Bill

Nice little 5.3 centered in Yucaipa. It was pretty damn impressive only 19 miles away. http://quake.wr.usgs.gov/recenteqs/Quakes/ci14155260.htm

I learned a lot in tunnel time--- now, why am I rocking back and forth?
hipgnosis replied to Rettrae's topic in Wind Tunnels
Some great suggestions in this thread. Another thing that helps is to get with a RW tunnel coach like dgskydive or myself. Getting the instant feedback in the tunnel greatly improves what you get out of the time. Bill -
I'm sure it could be done but I sure wouldn't want it. Most of the time when I'm using both of my rigs it's for the purpose of doing back to backs while team training. I'd rather have everything I need in one container that I can quickly grab and go to the loading area then need to think about detaching this, connecting that, etc. Plus, I like the fact that the Cypress and it's connectors are well protected - I've seen too many connections fail because of corrosion (salt air/humidity), dirt getting in the connection, etc.) to feel comfortable with unplugging, plugging it in again. As mentioned Perris has both the IHOP and bunkhouse. Also, since you mentioned back-packing it's worth mentioning that within 10 minutes of Perris is Lake Perris which has a camping ground, some trails, etc. Just something to do when the clouds are visiting

Block 22 - I think we're going with the Point and Tail spinning the Cat
hipgnosis replied to rehmwa's topic in Relative Work
This is of course coming from an inside center.... Rehmwa definitely has it right - solo flier is so much more fun than being head of the cat and having the point and ic smash into you.... and Dom wonders why our Bundies tend to close with such vigor -
You do realize that your OC does read this forum, right Dom? Besides, I thought nothing was steeper than our 12 launches....Nothing like looking across the formation and seeing Point/IC/Tail/Ground

I have both Premiere and Premiere Elements. I've found that for quick and simple edits that Elements does what I need quickly - plus it has the facility to create the DVD's (hint - when burning to DVD have it burn to a folder first then use Nero or Roxio to burn the actual DVD) Bill

Perris Storm does RW tunnel coaching pretty much every weekend, typically in the evening times. We enjoy working with all skill levels and love watching people progress into being able to do two ways, three ways, and ultimately four ways in the tunnel safely. And, of course, we definitely have fun getting to that point! PM sent with our contact info. Bill Morrison Perris Storm 951-442-9443

As memory serves several people had milestones.... I seem to recall someone had 900 jumps hit, and a local organizer, Mark Brown, hit 5000.... Bill

I bought one on ebay that was shipped from China for about that cost. Unit worked fine and spliced to my blow switch easily. One caveat is that you need to do a good job with the soldering - the wires inside the cable are very fine. Bill

The good news is that Perris has RW Load Organizers every weekend. Just go up to manifest and ask! The bad news, of course, is the weekends weather looks iffy. Bill
