Same here....Must be a conspiracy, the bastards!

There is nothing saying that you can't take two styles at the same time. Where I train they offer both Shorin Kung Fu and Brazilian JuiJitsu (Royce Gracie Style). I take both. Both will be highly useful in an actual fight, Kung Fu is geared around strikes and blocks, while JuiJitsu is geared around submitting people once the fight goes to the ground. It was mentioned earlier but one of the most important things for this to work regardless of style is consistency. This means going as often as possible. This means that unless you are seriously motiviated that you need to find a place that is close to where you live, otherwise it's too easy to just decide not to go. Just my two cents. Bill

Well, lets see. Remember racing out to Knotts Berry Farm on the back of my bike and hitting that one rollercoaster 5 times in a row at closing? Followed by weaving through rush hour traffic in the dark looking for a decent sushi place (and ending up at a chinese place ). Bill

Well, going by scar count I have way more scars from motorcycle riding than from skydiving. Frankly, if I had a kid I'd much rather they were a safe skydiver than a motorcycle rider. Just my two cents worth. Bill

There are a couple of forces at work. First, people want to join to get some of the better addresses. No one wants to be known as joebob1128543@gmail.com. Secondly, running a large e-mail system is a tremendous undertaking. By using invites they've been able to evaluate their system and make sure it's up to handling the load before adding more. Remember that the system is still in beta, and hasn't hit full release yet. Bill

I hate how everyone wants Hamm, the guy who won the competition according to the rules that were in place, to give up the gold. Have we ever had a sports team say "You know, I'm pretty sure that was a strike, here's the Pennant" or the like? Scoring mistakes happen. A system was in place to allow an appeal, which didn't happen. Life goes on. Pretty much every other sport that relies on a referee/umpire/judge to make a call where human error will eventually creep in just accepts it and moves on. If this trend continues then I'm sure the next olympics will have appeals/counter-appeals/counter-counter-appeals ad nauseum until a couple of years after the competition is finished.

I don't know, the second one would help you to determine if the canopy was installed backwards. "Gee, isn't the stripe supposed to be on the other side?"

I've got three gmail.com invites to send out if anyone is interested. Just leave either a PM or a response in this thread. Bill

Go see the Doctor. Rotator cuff problems suck but they heal much faster the earlier you catch them. Odds are you'll also get some anti-inflammatories which will help you out a lot as well. Bill

You could always just buy/bring a tent or two... Barring that there are motels in both Perris and Sun City. While I have no experience with either, my teammate seems to prefer the Sun City motel over the Perris one. Bill Morrison

Anyone here going to Kate&Tony's Big Ways 9/16-9/19?

I'll be there too..... -
You should also consider a Pilot which is definitely in the same league as Sabre2 with real nice openings.

Just got one of these myself on my dz.com ad. Quoted for others edification. It's always amazing that we are expected to believe they have a business partner *and* $6000, but the english composition skills of a drunk elk.

Microsoft is pushing it out through their Auto Update service. There are some unofficial links out there for it or you can grab it from one of the P2P networks. Neither appealed to me, so I just grabbed it through my MSDN subscription.

I do a lot of embedded development under WinCE. I'm curious as to why you consider it a bad implementation. While it has it's idiosyncracies (like all OS's), it doesn't have any real major problems. Also, you do realize that it isn't just Windows Light. The kernel, threading, device driver architecture, are all quite different from desktop kernels. Perhaps if you supplied a bit more information on just what you are trying to do for your client.... Feel free to PM me or IM me with any questions. Bill

Just installed it today. So far so good, doesn't seem to have hurt anything (wireless connections, VPN, remote desktop, etc.) If there is a major problem with it www.slashdot.org and the other sites will be posting articles about it post-haste. For now unless you have a major need of one of SP2s features I'd suggest adopting a 'wait and see' attitude. Bill

I like the Angelina Jolie one. You know, the one with the "Worth 1000" watermark. You know, the site that is basically one big photoshop contest. Quite impressive for an original negative. Also I don't recall seeing you at Perris yet this year, or even hearing your name. With your jump numbers this is rather surprising to me, so where are you hiding on the DZ? Hipgnosis

My personal favorite is http://www.live365.com The number of channels and different music types is truly outstanding. Bill

I've been really enjoying mine. Only problem I've heard and had with them is an occasional hard opening. This seemed to be fixed by making sure the tail is tightly rolled. Bill

Are you telling me you don't want to watch a cab catch on fire and go tumbling around?
-
Keeping you out of trouble is impossible....The best one can hope for is limit the trouble that you do get in too But sure, I'll jump with y'all. Just not sure what I've got going on for that day yet is all.
-
Well, since my team isn't training that weekend I suppose I'll be there too.... After all, someone has to keep Laurie out of trouble

Depends on the bike. Progressive is great until you get into the superbike category (aka crotch rockets). State Farm picks up the slack nicely there, I think I'm paying between 200-300 full (and then some) coverage on one of these aforementioned beasts. Oh, and avoid Pacific Specialty like the plague. Decent rates but they won't pay claims worth a damn. Bike was a complete write off (it ended the accident in a real nice ball of fire), but still took around 4 months to get the money for it. (edited to add Pacific Specialty warning)

I like that, and I'm sure our teams video guy will like being called that as well

http://www.uspa.org/news/index.htm In particular : Perris Valley Skydiving in California will hold the 2005 U.S. National Skydiving Championships around Labor Day next year. Florida Skydiving Center in Lake Wales will host this year’s collegiate nationals, as well as the 2005 collegiate nationals over the winter holidays. USPA will submit a bid to the IPC to host the 2006 world championships in style & accuracy and canopy formation. Hipgnosis
