ya he is cool as hell when he wants to be but he can be stuborn like a stack of bricks also. the man worked full time as a plaster man until he was 75!!!! he has broken his arm (compound fracture) and two of his ribs when a bunch of scafelding(sp) fell on him. Its gonna suck really bad when he goes but in a way its a good thing. I mean in quality of life is pretty shitty right now and he has lifed a long life. I am in the same situation but not as bad (only my mom doesn't want me to d it). All i can say is NEVER tell them when someone cuts away and always always tell them how safe it is with all the backups and training. Goodluck!!

i am 6'3" so the harness has to be adjusted everytime i use it so thats not it the only thing that i can think of is that the leg straps just aren't tight enough. But i had them sintched down pretty good this last time and i got a pretty desent bruise. I will really make them tight for lvl 3 and see what happens but after that i am going to go with the bike shorts b/c it just ruins all the fun when your crotch hurts!!! well me and MM thought up somthing that will help its just nylon webbing sleeves with foam ruber strips sown into them and then velcro flaps to go around the leg strap that should help me. oh and i can't go do all my lvl's in one weekend i can only go out there once a week b/c i have to watch the grandparents plus the gas prices are a bitch and my mom pays for that so i kinda have keep it down until i get a steady job and can pay for my own gas and stuff. The leg straps on the student rigs at Otay have been hurting me on opening and under canopy is there anything you guys can suggest to keep me from walking like a cowboy for a week after jumping?? I went out to the DZ today to show off my lvl1 pics and some other photos i took in the hopes that someone would want to buy a few. Well i get there at around noon b/c i had to help move a couch into the house with my dad. Anyway i get there and show dave my slides and my lvl1 pics and he laughs about how steve looks like he is about to slap my ass in freefall and then he asks if i am going to do lvl 2 or not. now on any other day i would have been like hell yes thats why i drove down here!!! but today was more of a i wonder if i should push my family luck day (my grandpa had a stroke if you didn't see my post about that) but i talked to steve about what was involved in lvl2 and it seemed simple so i went ahead and manifested and was put on load 5 with Tom he is really cool he ride me toooo hard about forgetting alot stuff from lvl 1. Two weeks of dealing with a family crisis kinda does that to a person. So anyway i relearn all the stuff and we dirt (well carpet actually) dive it a couple times then its a 20 min call so we get all suited up. I make sure that the zippers on my jump suit are strong this time!!!! and put radio on and test it works fine. Then steve walked into the gear room and tells tom not to give me any radio help unless i start flying over the lake or somthing. I give steve the finger and smile at him
