  1. Will you admit that a few hundredths of a degree of warming is no big deal especially when it fails to deliver the apocalypse predicted by the alarmists? There once was a time climate scientists referred to a warming period as a “climate optimum” “The U.S. is experiencing its quietest start to a wildfire season in at least the last 10 years.” https://www.kcra.com/article/2023-wildfire-season-in-us-off-to-the-quietest-start-in-at-least-a-decade/44509603#
  2. If I was wrong, the Atlantic would be teaming with a record number of tropical storms…but it’s not…so…
  3. Record hot water, peak hurricane season… let’s check out all of the hurricanes https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/
  4. That is odd. My wife’s hybrid SUV has a 450+ mile range, takes two minutes to recharge, holds my kids, dog, wife, luggage and bikes on the back with no noticeable degradation in performance/range in cold weather.
  5. It’s even worse than they thought “Ford Motor said Thursday pushed back production targets for its electric vehicles, citing slower-than-expected adoption” “Ford said it expects a Model e EBIT loss of $4.5 billion for the full year, up from its earlier forecast of a $3 billion loss for all of 2023.”
  6. Yep! Work hard, sacrifice, invest = retire early, passive income, big house, luxury SUV (wife’s) kids in private school. What’s not to love?
  7. The latest in the “go woke go broke” chronicles “AB InBev said Thursday that US revenue fell 10% in the second quarter as sales of its top brand slumped. Sales to US retailers declined by 14%, under-performing the wider beer industry, primarily due to the decline in the volume of Bud Light it sold, the company said in a statement.” ”Ford Motor said Thursday pushed back production targets for its electric vehicles, citing slower-than-expected adoption” “Ford said it expects a Model e EBIT loss of $4.5 billion for the full year, up from its earlier forecast of a $3 billion loss for all of 2023.”
  8. I didn’t want to get a time-out from BillV for deviating from the topic of the OP. (righties have to tread very carefully on this forum) (I was even given detention for describing the attributes of the AR platform on a forum that EXPLICITLY states guns are an appropriate topic) That said, it is time for new blood. Majority Leader Cruz anybody?
  9. I must be pretty good at guessing given how I hit it out of the ballpark on my predictions for this year.
  10. “Expected” BTW the whole “slowing down” theory only occurred after Harvey when it was trapped between two equally strong high pressure systems. A phenomenon that has nothing to do with global warming. If climate science was as advanced as some claim, it would have been predicted before Harvey. Making predictions after the fact doesn’t impress me.
  11. “There is no strong evidence of century-scale increasing trends in U.S. landfalling hurricanes…., there is not strong evidence for an increase since the late 1800s in hurricanes, major hurricanes or the proportion of hurricanes that reach major hurricane intensity.“ That came directly from NOAA, via a link Phil provided. Hardly a “denier”
  12. If you molest the data hard enough you can get it to show anything.
  13. Today’s conditions according to the National Hurricane Center
  14. It was meant to be illustrative of the difference between observation and prediction. I
  15. Atlantic - Caribbean Sea - Gulf of Mexico Tropical Weather Outlook (en Español*) 800 AM EDT Tue Jul 25 2023 Tropical Weather Discussion 1205 UTC Tue Jul 25 2023 There are no tropical cyclones in the Atlantic at this time. *Spanish translations, when available, are courtesy of the NWS San Juan Weather Forecast Office. Eastern North Pacific (East of 140°W) Tropical Weather Outlook 500 AM PDT Tue Jul 25 2023 Tropical Weather Discussion 1605 UTC Tue Jul 25 2023 There are no tropical cyclones in the Eastern North Pacific at this time. Central North Pacific (140°W to 180°) Tropical Weather Outlook 200 AM HST Tue Jul 25 2023 There are no tropical cyclones in the Central North Pacific at this time. Its cute how you guys don’t know the difference between predictions and observations. From NPR: “In 2006, it was predicted that their frequency and intensity would increase owing to the warming of oceans. Hurricane frequency has dropped a bit, and their intensities haven't changed much.”
  16. From your link: “There is no strong evidence of century-scale increasing trends in U.S. landfalling hurricanes…., there is not strong evidence for an increase since the late 1800s in hurricanes, major hurricanes or the proportion of hurricanes that reach major hurricane intensity.“ Thanks for your support! #truth
  17. Too many foreigners, move back, it might reduce the stink.
  18. No one is making fun of a “kind, loving, funny young girl” I don’t know what you are talking about. You must be a graduate of BillV’s school of self delusion.
  19. Now that it is hurricane season, ever tropical storm will be met with cries of CLIMATE CHANGE! From the science denying alarmists. Let us take a look at what the experts have to say… “Christopher Landsea is Chief of the Tropical Analysis and Forecast Branch at the National Weather Service’s National Hurricane Center. In May 2022 he informed us there is no upward trend in hurricanes and calmly states “we cannot yet say with confidence whether there is any detectable human influence on past Atlantic hurricane activity, and this is particularly the case for any greenhouse gas-induced changes.”” [Moderator note - the citation is from WattsUpWithThat, a popular denier site, and is from an article describing, in their words, the "Coming Onslaught of Dishonest Climate Fear Mongering!"]
  20. Yet another fantasy from the mind of BillV. First is was getting the Woolworth boycott 100% backwards, then it was the crazy notion that California gets most of its electricity from non-fossil fuel sources and now it is thoroughly debunked “don’t say gay” narrative that the left is so in love with. The fact of the matter is the left is in love with failure. A boycott succeeded, and its supporters are sheep, a cancel campaign fails and its and it is because society is not yet sophisticated enough. It is a good thing that lefties like failure because they are so good at it.
  21. A song, and it goes to number one Righties boycott a corporation and it loses billions.
  22. OMG! The Hottest June in a hundred and fifty years!!! By a whopping .02 degrees! Where do I sign up for a carbon tax?!?!
  23. Yes do look at them, just like me they were right. Population estimates in 2010 ranged from 400,000 to 500,000, with approximately 20,500 animals in 62 conservation herds and the remainder in approximately 6,400 commercial herds.[46][47] According to the IUCN, roughly 15,000 bison are considered wild, free-range bison not primarily confined by fencing.
