    I am surrounded by hard working, tax paying, children loving democrats. I went to a Super Bowl party, hosted by one, my children are being taught by them. They are my friends and neighbors. I save my political pontifications for DZ.com because if I shared them on Facebook I would loose half of my friends. As I have said before brenthutch is my snarky, acerbic alter ego. I am not a hater. The question I am posing is; can democrats harness the energy of the alt-left without being co-opted by it? It seems to me the strategy of pandering to grievance/identity politics has backfired and party leadership is unwilling or unable to turn the page.

    My wife doesn't like the color and texture you are talking about either. If you bump up the temp a bit you can achieve a more traditional texture and color while retaining the moisture of sous vide. Of course a quick sear/broil brings out more flavor and is esthetically pleasing.

    We will have to wait and see. Obama did not fail on his promise to close Gitmo until January 20, 2117.

    I dunno. I saw plenty of unsavory Tea Party members. Idiots bringing AR-15s into Starbucks isn't exactly the way you win over folks from the left side of the aisle. The fight is for the center, a fight that, for now, the Tea Party has demonstrably won.

    Problem: Observations do not match climate model predictions and undermine AGW theory. Science says: AGW theory is flawed. NOAA says: No problem, we will just molest the observational data until it agrees with our flawed models. Whistle blower reveals the subterfuge, new EPA administrator has his staff eliminate the data manipulation and POOF, there goes AGW.

    We will just have to wait and see now won't we. I am confident that once approved, Scott Pruitt will shine some much needed sunlight on the climate cabal at the EPA.
