    That is all fine. One can find several examples of non traditional family structures that work however one cannot base a society on the exception of the rule. The nuclear family with a father and mother has been the fundamental building block of society for millennia and has statistically been demonstrated to be the most successful. I understand the opposition of things that work is deeply ingrained in Lefty DNA but the facts are the facts.

    If Biden stays in and hurts the prospects of down ballot candidates, resulting in a Trump presidency and a Republican super majority in the Senate, Biden might be seen as the most transformational president in history. Project 25, economic decoupling from China, withdrawal from NATO and more will all be attributed to Biden’s recalcitrants.

    This is from Biden’s post debate recovery tour: “By the way, I’m proud to be, as I said, the first vice president, first Black woman, to serve with a Black president, proud of the first Black woman in the Supreme Court. There’s just so much that we can do because together we– there’s nothing. Look, this is the United States of America.” and “The fact of the matter is how can you assure you’re going to be on, you know, on your way to go, you know, work tomorrow? Age, age wasn’t, you know, the idea that I’m too old.” Time is running out. The Ds better hurry up and pull a rabbit out of their hat or say hello to President Trump 2.0.

    The problem is that if he continues to falter, the clock is ticking on ramping up a new campaign. Not to mention the horrible optics of the Ds having lied to the public for years regarding the competence at the top of their ticket.

    Apparently they have conducted internal polling and have found Biden to be performing better than the alternatives, still loosing but doing better than Harris, Whitmer, Shapiro, Newsom, et al. At this point they are going to stick with the horse that brung em. Although that could change given how today’s White House press briefing went.

    It was on her list. As an upcoming junior she is required to tour prospective schools as part of her curriculum. Now that you mention it, there was no talk of either William or Mary. Lots of discussion about the founding father alumni though.

    I predict the highest turnout in history, the Ds don’t like Biden but they loathe Trump. (did Biden get millions of votes more than Obama because he was massively popular or was it hate directed towards Trump) Some Rs are rabid Trump supporters, some are ambivalent but would rather have someone who doesn’t want to “defeat Medicare”. On one hand, as seen by the Ds Trump represents an existential threat to Democracy on the other hand as seen by Rs a vote for Biden equals a vote for a severely diminished old man or a VP Harris. Both dynamics will drive voter turnout and a few billion in campaign cash won’t hurt either.

    No EVs are not good on a long trip. As you say yourself, every two to three hours requires 10-20 minute charging stops and I am sure you aren’t counting the time I takes getting on and off of the interstate or if you have to wait until a station is available. You don’t have the option of pressing one if you feel like it. This whole “I like to get a bite to eat every two hours” is a lame attempt to turn a bug into a feature.
