  1. The worst thing for the Ds is for Biden to get C+ pass on the news conference tonight.
  2. Is that really how you want the first female president? A DEI hire of a candidate who was rejected by her own party who was subsequently selected by an old white guy to shore up his support in the African American community.
  3. Meanwhile in the Atlantic… https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ Mind you, this is NOT a prediction it is merely an observation (for those of you having trouble discerning the difference)
  4. Just watching CNN and a black Democrat strategist said there are only two candidates Biden and Harris. If Biden dumps an African/Indian American for a white guy they are done for.
  5. It’s not just Kamala who will be pissed, it will be the block of black female and radical feminists who will be pissed. Without them the island of misfit toys coalition strategy falls on its face and Trump wins. It looks like the Ds are stuck with their DEI hire.
  6. The federal government could set parameters or they could leave it up to the laboratories of democracy to see who’s approach works best.
  7. https://climaterealism.com/2024/07/media-reports-earths-1-5c-temperature-limit-was-breached-for-12-months-in-a-row-nothing-bad-happened/ An explanation of the recent temperature spike. ”Where’s the KABOOM? There was supposed to be an Earth shattering KABOOM”
  8. No but abolishing the DoE and block granting their 52 billion dollar budget back to the states to support schools in lower income areas would be a good start.
  9. You are really rolling the dice when road-tripping with an EV considering 20% of charging stations don’t work. “Through the end of Q1 2023, 20.8 percent of EV drivers using public charging stations experienced charging failures or equipment malfunctions that left them unable to charge their vehicles.” The numbers were worse in a study of EV chargers in the San Francisco Bay Area last year that found almost one-quarter of them didn’t work due to “unresponsive or unavailable screens, payment system failures, charge initiation failures, network failures, or broken connectors.” https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a45309960/ev-charging-stations-problems/
  10. Lately? You just haven’t been paying attention https://www.c-span.org/video/?c4858341/user-clip-thing
  11. Tell that to the think tank that did the study. You get bitter when you are wrong. When you have to resort to word parsing and personal attacks instead of strengthening your argument you are losing. You must of had an unhappy childhood with married parents who didn’t get along.
  12. Family stability is important for childhood outcomes. All else equal, children raised in stable families are healthier, better educated, and more likely to avoid poverty than those who experience transitions in family structure.1 Married parents are more likely to stay together than cohabiting ones. In fact, two-thirds of cohabiting parents split up before their child reaches age 12, compared with one quarter of married parents https://www.brookings.edu/articles/cohabiting-parents-differ-from-married-ones-in-three-big-ways/
  13. Define unmarried couple and define your parameters of performance.
  14. Ask the question more precisely,
  15. https://www.clasp.org/sites/default/files/public/resources-and-publications/states/0086.pdf The average cohabitation union lasts an average of two years. Nuf said
  16. Divorced x2 so no. Really SkyDekker I expect more from you.
  17. First we have to acknowledge what the data says. The married two parent household is the ideal model for child rearing and that fatherless children especially boys are more likely to drop out of school, make less money and are more likely to engage in criminal activity. And let’s stop celebrating the failure to achieve that ideal.
  18. Actually during the height of Jim Crow and all of the institutional racism that entails single mothers represented around 11% of black households now it’s around 70%.
  19. You forgot reason number one, the government replacing fathers in low income households. “One contributor to family breakdown, which soon spread to the poor and working-class white family, may have been welfare expansion. Cash welfare in meager form existed since 1935,4 and some welfare expansion took place during the Kennedy administration. But under Johnson’s Great Society, which began in 1964, benefits became substantially more generous and came under greater control of the federal government. In the words of Harvard’s Paul Peterson, “some programs actively discouraged marriage,” because “welfare assistance went to mothers so long as no male was boarding in the household” Bring on the baby daddy. “A baby daddy is the biological father of a child, usually when he's not in a relationship with the mother and not actively raising the child.”
  20. From Time magazine September 28, 2023 “Has the social normalization of raising children outside of a two-parent arrangement led to more children being raised in a one-parent household? Surely, yes. And has this trend served the best interests of children? Based on the evidence of how beneficial two parent (especially two biological parent) homes are for children, the answer is an unequivocal no.” And since you brought up marriage… “The evidence is clear, even if the punchline is uncomfortable: children are more likely to thrive— behaviorally and academically, and ultimately in the labor market and adult life—if they grow up with the advantages of a two-parent home. Numerous academic studies confirm that children raised in married parent homes are less likely to get in trouble in school or with the law; they are more likely to graduate high school and college; they are more likely to have higher income and be married themselves as adults. Research suggests that boys are especially disadvantaged by the absence of dads from their homes. These facts are indisputable.”
  21. Who said anything about being married?
  22. Chamberlain brought us “peace for our time” Ray Stantz gave us the Stay Puff marshmallow man and Biden will usher in Trump 2.0
  23. The problem is that, as my drill sergeant once said, one awshit wipes out all of your attaboys and Biden has an ever growing pile of awshits.
