Qanon Follower Identified as Woman Killed on Capital Hill

I agree with Gowlerk. (Never thought I would say that). The temperature here is way to high. I have never seen this much hatred, venom and bloodlust. I thought the Left was companionate and caring obviously I was mistaken. Have fun with your “hate orgy” I’m out. -

Typical left wing cancel culture in full display. If you can’t coherently counter the message, silence the messenger. (I’m pretty sure that I was called a racist asshole and/or a troll. That is OK I am wearing my big boy panties and don’t need to have my delicate sensibilities protected by the moderators) -
The devastating toll COVID took on the worlds economy didn’t seem to slow the increase in atmospheric CO2. 2019 CO2 level was around 410ppm, 2020 was 415ppm as of last November. The COVID crash didn’t even.....(pardon the expression)....bend the curve https://climate.nasa.gov/vital-signs/carbon-dioxide/
-
I’m sure it had SOME impact, but our CO2 emissions were dropping long before that mostly (but not entirely) due to the fracking revolution and the switch from coal to natural gas. The COVID-19 related reductions will disappear as the country rebounds in 2021. The most cost effective way to continue the decline in our CO2 emissions is to continue the trend of replacing coal with natural gas.

Fair enough, I concede the point.

Let’s conduct a little thought experiment. Change the federal building from one in DC to..... say....one in Portland Oregon. Change the color of the unarmed victim from white to black and change the color of the cop from black to white......now replay the scenario. -
No I said Pfizer got federal money...full stop. They did.

You can’t and that is why Breonna’s death is a tragedy. -

Again no justification for deadly force, had she breached the door that would have been a different story. Can’t we all just agree that a needless death is a tragedy? The blood lust from the left is disturbing. -
1. I never claimed said the US was the only country with such an initiative. 2. I never said Pfizer didn’t have the capacity. 3. I don’t recall giving credit to Trump My post was in response to: “so imagine if we would have just skipped the testing and just started production right away. we would have already made tens of millions of doeses by now and who knows how many tens of thousands of lives would have been saved. but what do i know. i guess I was right by sole chance, right?” All I said was we were producing the vaccines while testing was going on and that was part of what operation Warp Speed was about. I never said it was the sole initiative.

I didn’t see her breaking anything (even if she did, vandalism is not a justification for the use of deadly force) and I didn’t see how she posed an imminent threat to anyone. -
Ok, Pfizer never got a dime of government money and the created the vaccine out of the goodness of their heart, never receiving either directly or indirectly a single penny from the US Federal Government. Better? My original point STILL STANDS! Pharmaceutical companies did not wait for approval before beginning production and operation. Why do you have a problem with that? https://www.hhs.gov/coronavirus/explaining-operation-warp-speed/index.html

Yes, obviously, but it would have been better if the cop self defended against the shooter and not Breonna Taylor. -

Innocent woman killed by a cop, nothing more nothing less. -
You are correct Caption Pedantic, someone with firsthand knowledge told me.

Read my answer again..... Both, they received indirect $$$ via third parties for development and direct $$$ for production

Wife is on the COVID task force for her pharmaceutical company. Close enough for you?
-
I said production NOT development. Again, MY ORIGINAL POINT, was that Pharmaceutical companies did NOT wait until December to start production of their vaccines. The rest is just minutia.
-
So the long and short of it is Pfizer DID get federal money. More to the original point I was making.....the pharmaceutical companies didn’t wait until the vaccines were approved before beginning production. Because of operation Warp Speed production ran concurrently with phase three trials. BTW there were subcontractors who DID get federal dollars that supported Pfizer’s vaccine development. I have personal first hand knowledge of this.

Wow, just wow. They cashed a $1.95 billion dollar check in JULY! Months before the vaccine was even approved let alone delivered. That check was so they could start production before the vaccine was approved, which removed the financial risk for them (as well as the others). In the event the vaccine failed, (which was a distinct possibility as a messenger RNA vaccine was new technology and had never been used in a vaccine before) they still would have gotten the money. Looks like we may have a little “Hutch derangement syndrome” going around.

It is not a viewpoint, it is a fact. On this, I have won regardless. Thanks for playing, you may pick up your consolation prize on the way out.

Kallend said, “Pfizer/BioNTech did NOT use any federal money from Operation Warp Speed.” Did you get that? “DID NOT USE ANY FEDERAL MONEY FROM OPERATION WARP SPEED” he did NOT equivocate, he did not make a distinction between developing and production. Not only did Pfizer receive federal money, they got one of the bigger slices $1.95 billion
-
Yes they did, as did AstraZeneca, Moderna, and J&J ”When the Department of Health and Human Services released Pfizer's $1.95 billion coronavirus vaccine contract with Operation Warp Speed last Wednesday, the agreement revealed that the Trump administration didn't include government rights to intellectual property typically found in federal contracts. The drugmaker has downplayed its involvement in Operation Warp Speed, the Trump administration's more than $10 billion program to make a coronavirus vaccine available in record time. Although Pfizer didn't receive government funding this spring toward research and development of the vaccine, it nevertheless received one of the largest Operation Warp Speed supply contracts to date on July 21.” https://khn.org/morning-breakout/pfizers-deal-with-operation-warp-speed-excludes-common-government-rights/
