Biden’s first one hundred days witnessed the largest increase in firearm sales of any President in history, averaging more than ten thousand guns per day, the majority of those being assault rifles and semi automatic handguns. Not to mention enough rounds of ammunition to kill every single American several times over. https://www.fbi.gov/file-repository/nics_firearm_checks_-_month_year.pdf/view

I think you mean the 455 miles of new and upgraded wall
-
They were just petitioning their government for a redress of grievances and following Maxine Waters advice. “Get in their face”. If it was an insurrection they would have brought guns.

It is a practice condoned by their religion. You guys a just a bunch of bigoted Islamophobes

Don’t watch, from what I understand he is like the Lawrence O’Donnell of the right. I do agree that the GOP is currently rudderless, then again so were the Dems before Bill Clinton. I’m not really a cult of personality guy, I’m more of a policy guy. Obama was immeasurably better than Trump as a human being, but Trump’s policies were more aligned with what I think are best for our country.

I would like to thing of it as more of a Doris Kearns Goodwinian Historical analysis.

That’s the thing, Republicans don’t have to do anything. The average Joe Sixpack will when he sees what Biden’s “initiatives” are costing him in gas and groceries. You might be too young to remember what inflation did to Jimmy Carter.

You could replace Peloci with AOC and the Dems still loose the House. (Obama lost 64 during his first midterm. If they loose six they loose the House)

Our local NPR affiliate hit its goal early last year during the lockdown, when much uncertainty was looming. This year, they set a one day record for donations on the last day when it looked as if they would not achieve their goal, so it is not financial hardship, IMO it is apathy. I am not one-uping anyone, it was just an observation, and a valid one at that. An early indicator if you will.

Not a drive against Trump per se, but a lack of motivation from his absence in the White House. With Trump gone, the kaleidoscope of lefty interest will begin to loose cohesion. With CA, IL, and NY loosing seats and TX, FL and NC gaining seats, it is all but assured that Pelosi will loose the gavel and with it the dream of a new progressive era.

It’s funny how a pro-gun crowd forgot to bring their guns.

For the orange man, my local PBS station’s Spring fund drive failed by more than $15k. The previous four years they finished early.

I am a conservative leaning Libertarian, not a right winger, not a Trumper. Right wingers aren’t pro-choice, pro criminal justice reform and for gay marriage.
-
That is true with any group irrespective of race.
-
Where does it exist now and is it the same system that elected Obama twice?
-
What gives you the impression I am scared? I think pants that are worn below the butt looks stupid, not scary. I think a single mom trying to raise a family while an absentee father fails to support is sad not scary. I think a culture that celebrates OGs, rappers and ballers, while ignoring PhDs is is a failing one not a scary one. The poetic brilliance of “wet ass pussy” while lost on me, does not scare me. (Notice no mention of race)

It becomes more tricky when one adds the additional layer of culture and behavior. If I disagree with the treatment of religious minorities, homosexuals and women in some parts of the Muslim world by some Muslims, does that make me islamophobic? *I understand Islam is not a race but the comparison is still valid

Give me just one example. Should be easy as you have “multiple times” to choose from

If you were to tell me what is was and how I am responsible for it (even a little) I would welcome that conversation. Mind you I am not saying racism does not exist, it does. I just don’t see the systemic part. (Unless you are talking about how the welfare system destroyed the black nuclear family, then we are in full agreement).
-
Why do I need to be changed? What have I done to systemically oppress anyone? In my 57 years on this planet not one of my minority friends, teachers, military brothers, college professors, associates, coworkers, subordinates, peers, bosses or neighbors has ever even mentioned it. Is it one of those things that no one can see, measure or feel, but it is secretly there? Apparently Obama thought Americans’ penchant for large SUVs was more of a problem than systemic racism as he mentioned the former and not the latter.

“It’s complicated” is what folks say when faced with facts that run counter to their narrative. More from Obama’s victory speech. “If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible; who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time; who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer. It's the answer told by lines that stretched around schools and churches in numbers this nation has never seen; by people who waited three hours and four hours, many for the very first time in their lives, because they believed that this time must be different; that their voice could be that difference. It's the answer spoken by young and old, rich and poor, Democrat and Republican, black, white, Latino, Asian, Native American, gay, straight, disabled and not disabled — Americans who sent a message to the world that we have never been a collection of red states and blue states; we are, and always will be, the United States of America.” No mention of systemic racism, in fact quite the opposite.
-
But not even one attempt to address it in eight years? From Obama’s inaugural address, “ That we are in the midst of crisis is now well understood. Our nation is at war against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred. Our economy is badly weakened, a consequence of greed and irresponsibility on the part of some, but also our collective failure to make hard choices and prepare the nation for a new age. Homes have been lost, jobs shed, businesses shuttered. Our health care is too costly, our schools fail too many -- and each day brings further evidence that the ways we use energy strengthen our adversaries and threaten our planet. These are the indicators of crisis, subject to data and statistics. Less measurable, but no less profound, is a sapping of confidence across our land; a nagging fear that America's decline is inevitable, that the next generation must lower its sights. Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But know this America: They will be met.” No mention of systemic racism. Not only did he do nothing to fix it, apparently he was unaware of its existence. In fact I don’t recall the words “systemic racism” ever crossing his lips.
-
If systemic racism were such a problem, why wasn’t it addressed when we had an African American; President, AG and Secretary of Homeland Security and a Democrat controlled legislature?
-
Agreed.

Go point, “I want to hold your hand” is just like “wet ass pussy” how could I have missed the similarities.
