    Well, you have to admit....many people only turn to God when they are in an airplane that uis about to crash. If it lands safely, they walk away telling God " thanks, and I'll let you know the next time I need your help, until then, don't bother me" They use God like a spare tire on a car.....     At this present time,( and during the time since the end of World War II ) the United States of America has the most dishonest, immoral, coniving evil group of people running the country that has ever existed.     They are a good team. I was the first person to get to the body of one of their team that crashed back in the 1960s. He was face down in the mud, with both legs ripped off at the knees. It was a hard, sad time for me for the next three days, and I still get a lump in my throat when I think of him. Bill Cole D-41

    My gosh, those were the days. One week after the guys drowned, Paul Camelford (age 16) was making his 13th jump, and I was to photograph him on his 14th. Paul asked me the night before about holding a heading in FF. I told him, use a road or tree line. He left Dale's C 180, and corrected to hold on Mumford Rd. He held it all the way to the ground, never bothered to pull. It seems he got mezmerized and concentrated so hard, he just held it, didnt bother looking at his altimeter, and thumped in. That was two sad weekends ina row. Bill Cole D-41

    The greatest risks are those that IF you win, you are alive. Sometimes, you can get badly busted up....but you'll heal...so you still won. Sometimes you get killed....and if your life has been on the right track....you'll end up a winner anyhow...but not on this earth. I like taking a risk, and making it riskier...thats when the fun really begins, and if you don't win, I wouldnt (be around to) give it a second thought. If you win....its a great rush of adrenylin.
