I attempted to wrap a tapered cylinder yesterday(bucket of bubble gum).....it was not a pretty sight...lots of paper and even more tape.....looked ok once I put it in a xmass bag

Trailer Park Boys rock.....Hopefully ppl will apreciate the humor.....most either love the show or hate it. The 1st season was filmed mostly in my trailer park...my tin hut is actually in a few sceens...

So who else works xmass eve? I do but its a short shift...10 hours....get to sit on my ass and not get paid for most of it....will only have a few morons coming in saying..."I'm going on a trip tommorow to see family and my car has been doing (fill in the blank) for 2 months now and it has almost become undrivable"...of course there will be NO parts avaible and the customer will get angry and freak out because his/her trip will be ruined....will I shed a tear?.....nope...will I charge extra for stupidity.....not this season ...will I feel bad for there situation?....probley. Working on Xmass eve sucks.

Thanks for the advise.....I havent tried jumping with new glasses or prescription goggles yet....but I do intend on getting some goggles this coming season....flex vision work well..but ... When I do get new glasses (or lenses) I always notice it takes a couple of days to get used to them ...even with the same prescription....the guys at work will think I'm nuts...but...I will wear any new lenses for a couple of days before I jump them...Thanks

1. Car..as a mechanic I get to drive most cars...including a few porsches(1 930), 1 ferrari 318, most BMW's including a real M5, a viper, most mercedes (alot of german ones with real HP...military guys love to bring them back...untill they find out that the parts have to be special ordered from germany) countless types of "souped up" street cars...streach limo's ..police cars(dont let them catch you turning on the lights a siren) ambulances ...yada yada. 2.Trucks...everything from 1/4 to 1 ton light trucks...3,5 and 10 ton straight trucks..including cabovers(I hate driving them) all types of boom trucks.....L9000 dump and transport rigs..buses(no passengers)....yada yada. 3.Race cars...everything from 4cyl sedans to TransAm and IMSA cars....f1600....go karts(havent tried a shifter kart yet...but really want too)..short track cars..legend cars..yada yada. 4.Motorcycles....hmmm...1st ride was on a sumbeam 50 when i was 6...sence then I have ridden just about every make and size there is....favorites are 600 crotch rockets with real gooey race tires and a smooth track..ohh..and a moped. 5.golf carts, trikes, quads, skidoos, argos, dirt bikes, enduro bikes, trials bikes.....pedal bikes.....tried a unicycle....never again. 6. Heavy Equipment....back hoes, escavators, dozers, graders....tried a crane(no load...was just allowed to play a little), skidders, front end loaders....bobcats(they are fun). 7. small single engine aircraft....havent had the oppurtunity...I'm sure I could get one off the ground and fly it......but no way in hell would I attempt to land it! 8. watercraft...seadoo's, speed boats, smaller fishing boats....as a kid I took the wheel of a large ferry for 10 mins. 9. again ...as a kid I got to opperate a locomotive engine.....kids love trains

You know it's never going to work between us if you can't cook, or bake, so I'm calling it off now. But don't you worry about me, I'll be fine. I can bake. Cook too. Or check the fluid levels on the soccer mom van Plz tell me that you would never buy that ....ugh precooked/microwaved bacon...because...that just wouldnt be right Its ok to degrade the making of cookies by using the slice and bake kind...hell ..martha steward makes cookies..............BUT.....bacon is not to be made quick and easy....being splattered with hot grease is a penance we all must pay for the priviliage of enjoying bacon. rant over..mmmmm bacon

As a fellow student I cant really comment on the downsizing......however...as most have said....230 to a 210 isnt a huge difference at your w/l...and may even help your landings with a little extra speed to help generate lift during flare.(as always...your instructors and you know best.) My question is....How come you havent been playing with the canopy at altitude?????.......practicing flat turns...front riser turns..toggle sprials...riser sprials..canopy stalls.. etc etc?????...learning how it reacts and having a blast scaring yourself......as a student you open at a decient altitude...with plenty of time to play and get a feel for the canopy.....have some fun...scare yourself a little(before your hard deck)....play play play.....your confindence will will increase and so will the quality of your landings

I agree...very much agree....I've been looking at many different sites for DZ's......info for the esentials is very lacking....ie: photos,marked landing zones(students and exp)....pointing out landmarks...wind sock locations..hazzards...local bar...closest emergency help....local liquore store... Most web sites provide very little info...sad.....even our own(HH's site) cant even update its main page very often.......imagine .....if all sites used the regs as ppl who posted useful info...dare to dream I do...
