  1. Neither do women. That's why it's fun. People need to go buy them, just like they go buy Pimp outfits and such.
  2. FUN! The 70's suggestion reminds me of a dream that I had at the end of last summer. I had a strange dream that we (FGF) were all at a party in full-blown 70's disco costumes. You should have seen the sexyfrenchbitch! Gia, you and I had the feathered Farrah hair. It was so hysterical and cool!
  3. Yes, but I guess I wanted something that wouldn't take much effort for everyone at the end of a long jump day. I want for it to be low-maintenance for me and for others to get into our "costumes" or night time attire. Men in zoot suits and dancing all night, esp. in the summer time is not a good combo. Don't get me wrong...I LOVE the 20's theme. I was almost a 20's flapper last Halloween. Also, I thought of the Casino Night theme because it is our Poker Run meet, but I just loved the idea of relaxed clothing like the Togas and PJs. I really want to hear what Melanie from Elsinore thinks about adding a theme that night, or maybe we can do it on another night. i don't know...still deciding.
  4. Yeah...a Pimp & Ho party not my style. (Sorry! I'm sure that they're fun, if you guys had one.) I know my DZ had one last year, but I didn't attend. I heard that it was fun, though. The guys looked so funny with their big hats! The pajama is not a skimpy lingerie party, either. I want to see people in good old-fashioned Pajamas with the cute prints and drawstring pants.
  5. That is so AWESOME, but our DZ already had a luau theme for Chick's Rock last fall.
  6. Great thinking, Karen! Although, with the togas, you can just fall asleep, as well...built-in bed sheets! Jenn, thanks for the post. Your husband must have loved the party!
  7. The party is just going to be a fun addition to the end of the day to celebrate my 35th birthday with my DZ friends, so I'm not looking for anything fancy or with a lot of extra set-up/clean-up required. I actually require a very low-maintenance theme for my party, since I plan to be competing in a DZ meet that day. Nobody will be able to set-up slip and slides or foam machines. To let you all know more info...we have already had my Wigs 1 and 2 parties, as well as a freefly "Come As You Dare" costume party earlier this year, among others. We all seem to really have fun dressing in costumes.
  8. I second this. Get some of those kiddie pools, slip and slide, what could go wrong? Sounds like fun, but it will be too cold to do that at night, imo. The party will only be at night only. There will be a DZ fun meet to be held in the daytime.
  9. I'd like to have a fun theme/idea suggestions for a b-day party to be held mid-June at a DZ. Thanks, everyone!

    haha

Well, now you know my "yes, we're having a dinner party" trick.

    haha

That used to happen to me all of the time and still does. My ex and I used to be asked if we were having a dinner party or had guests over, just about every single time that we'd order dinner for just the two of us. Thankfully, he (39) and I (soon to be 35) eat this way without dire consequences to our bodies, but still, it's a little funny that people assumed that we were having dinner parties every several nights.
  12. Whoa...I just read your first post in this thread, Lisamarie. It was like an "I Love Lucy" episode!
  13. With the rear view mirror as a cymbal & I tap the transmission tunnel with my right foot for the bass drum. Me too! I mostly play "air drums", though...
  14. Scott can check it off in the poll within this old thread. (Yes, I linked another old thread of mine. HA!)

Curses, someone figured it out! I guess that the jig is up.
  16. Congratulations, Sarah! Much love to you and to your new husband, Chad.
  17. I quite honestly feel that *most* threads on DZ.com's Bonfire can be considered "silly". Obviously, these particular threads were done tongue in cheek. No, I am not concerned about my petite size, nor have I ever much worried about what men like or don't like about me. (I have a healthy self image.) To be frank, I don't spend my personal time thinking about the random stuff that we post about on these threads, unless it's hilarious or posted by a friend. When it comes to a person truly liking another, I am quite sure that looks pale in comparison to the other's personality. At least, they do in my book. I've never felt the need to date only a certain "type" of guy, either. In any case, I expect the same respect and open-mindedness from one who would be attracted to or interested in myself. Just my personal thoughts on this subject.
