  1. I've had 3 cutaways (no RSL on at least 2), and I've yet to have lines wrap around my torso. *Knocks on wood!* I would take precautions about the lines getting caught on the steel fasteners, if they were anywhere in the line of fire, but they are definitely not. I would be more worried about things coming open, than main or reserve lines getting caught on a corset, which is made to be tight on the body, not loose. A boot's lace-up fasteners might be close enough to a deploying canopy to get lines caught during a mal or maybe even during a normal deployment, so i can see why that would be a no-no. A corset's tiny fasteners right next to our body's are most definitely not, in my opinion.
  2. The steel fasteners are in the front of my corset. How would they catch a line? If that is possible, then I would already be in pretty damned horrible shape overall.
  3. Sharing an incredible jump with a group and succeeding at something difficult, which we are all working on together, is an amazing feeling. Some jumps, especially 4-way or anything fast and furious, are just plain HOT!!! Also, there is an electricity that radiates throughout a smooth-flying 100-way, when everyone is focused on holding their docks, driving in hard and flying their best. It's so intense. Also, for me personally, doing something to the best of my ability makes me feel sexy. All of those things together lead to all kinds of feelings, so my answer is YES.
  4. Yeah, I thought about the breast popping out to a certain degree, but I could potentially hide that with my arms in mantis. Plus, they would be able to be pushed back in, once everyone's safely under canopy.
  5. There is supposed to be a helicopter on Sunday, but I don't think it's confirmed.
  6. Wow, you're amazing! Thanks so much for updating us, Bill!
  7. What a wonderful picture! It looks like you are way ahead of the pack, Kim. I hope that you win the contest. Good luck!
  8. Hello there, I wanted to further encourage you to go through AFF by yourself. I went through AFF alone, and I felt that it was the best way to meet new people and to become fully immersed in my learning. When you go through the skydiving certification progression, you will meet new friends, who are as passionate about skydiving as you are. Many of them will be experienced jumpers and some will be new jumpers like yourself. Treat them all well, and you can't go wrong. Based on your later posts, it seems like you are already well on your way. Good luck and have a blast!
  9. I also know Marv from the bigway circuit. He was a sweetheart - so nice and friendly. I will miss his smile at the next bigway event. Fly free, Marv.
  10. Who here remembers Mark in the old Calvin Klein ads? He managed to look sexy and adorable all at once. Hello Mark I don't really have a thing for any actors or singers. Nor, have I seen Mark Wahlberg in a while, but so what if he's aged. Who hasn't? I doubt that I would kick him out of my bed, then or now.
  11. Welcome to Southern California to the both of you!
  12. I actually agree with this, and I LOVE learning new skills in the tunnel. (I even used to work in one!) I've seen many people who begin flying in the tunnel, prior to skydiving. They sometimes prefer the tunnel and have a difficult time wanting to skydive more than tunnel fly, which is not the case with those, who begin by jumping. Since the tunnel is such an easy environment in which to progress without worrying about canopy skills or the weather, it can also be a godsend to many. It's probably a good idea to begin skydiving, then to add to your skills by getting some tunnel time, after getting licensed. Of course, if you are having flying issues during AFF, you can always do a tunnel session with your instructor or coach to work on skills needed in the sky. Good luck with whatever you choose to do!
  13. Huh? Hehe, I don't get it. It's for a very good cause, silly dude. The children in Peru have it much rougher than the kids in the U.S, and I've long been a part of the non-profit, who supports their hospital.
  14. Umm, maybe that's because I make the jello shots for the SD Elsinore parties... Next stop is Chick's Rock... Come and get your jello shots and support a great cause (Children's Hospital in Peru), everyone!
  15. Happy birthday week, Mike! You are awesome.
  16. Tonje, we can do a helicopter jump together! (I've yet to do one, believe it or not.) Plus, we need to hang out together, again. It will be fun to do that during non-bigway camp or event days!
  17. I cannot make it to LFL this year, so I've decided to donate the Boneanza jello shot funds to the Leap for Lupus foundation! Hope to see all of you at SD Elsinore this weekend. Let's have fun and donate to some good causes, too!
  18. There better be pictures then too. Hey Billy! Well, if Karen (or another DPH) makes it to the boogie, and we jump together, I'm sure that there will be video and pics.
  19. Karen, I love the red corset idea. All of you look fantastic!
  20. If I was having financial issues, I would sell my rig, and I have done this. I love skydiving more than almost anything, but it is a luxury.
  21. One of Skydive Elsinore's DZOs, Karl, just had an inspired idea for the Anything But Clothes weekend for Summer Boneanza: "Grab all those clothes out of your closet that you don't want anymore, and we're going to do a big DONATION! Anything still good, that you don't want, throw it in the bin at the DZ. We can not only get our groove on, but feel good about doing good deeds! Love it."
