Sartre~ That's wonderful, and you look fabulous. I'm not talking for you or for anyone else with my prior post. I'm talking for myself. I have a low BMI and weigh well under 100 lbs. Whether I don't exercise for a year (which has happened) or I exercise three times a week (which almost never happens), my body's appearance is not affected very much at all. A pic of me in a bikini would do nothing for my personal motivation to "get into shape". For me, getting in shape would be for my general state of health, and it would affect the way that I feel about myself for being "healthier" and feeling "in shape" (strong, energetic, not bloated, etc). Being healthy and "in shape" for me is about how I feel on the inside for taking good care of my body. It's not something that I can post. Does that make sense? P.S. For the record, I've been sick with bed rest and on meds for the last few months, so I want to begin to exercise for myself. I want to feel "stronger" and more energetic.

I do think that all the women and men who have posted their pics have a lot of courage and are all beautiful in their own ways. Hello there~ Like Krisanne, I don't really feel that a competition among my female friends would be motivating for me. If I feel out-of-shape, I would want to be in better shape/health for myself, not to win a contest. People judging my bikini-clad body on the internet does not give me validation about whether or not I am in shape. Silly, Remi! Awww...I miss my, Sunny girl!

Before just now, I didn't really pay attention to these threads. I was thinking...why do the men have to send in photos to you? If I was a guy on here, I wouldn't want to do that. I went back and read the original thread, and I still don't understand why the men would want to send in a BEFORE picture to you. I know that you will be posting them on some site, but I don't understand why that is necessary. Why can't we just start a new thread asking all the men to post their BEFORE pics only (showing a newspaper date or something similar) on or before February 1st? We can ask that people not comment on the pics, if that makes it better. Also, I think that a female should begin the men's pic thread, so the men will want to post these pictures. After all, it takes a lot of courage to post something like that. A man isn't going to be inspired to e-mail his half-naked pics to another man...contest or no contest. That's just my opinion. Either way, good luck to all of the guys on improving their health and their appearance, too. For what it's worth, i am not in my best shape, so I know how you all feel. I am rooting for all of you!

Wow, this thread has perfect timing. I'm going to my eye doctor this afternoon. I lost my glasses a while back, and I need to get new frames. I love wearing glasses, but I usually lose them. James had recommended contacts to solve that problem, which I was contemplating, since it would be better for me to be able to wear contacts for skydiving, as well. Deep down, however, I was thinking that I might want to stick to wearing glasses. Btw, thank you, Bobbi, Squeak and Lawrocket. I think that I'll look at some new frames today.

Giaaa...you'll have a blast at your Superbowl party! Last weekend, I jumped all day on Saturday and watched football (my first time) with James all day on Sunday. Haha...it was so much fun because he is my private tutor and "coach", regarding the sport. After what James explained to me regarding Peyton Manning (Colts' QB) never quite making it to the Superbowl, I am happy for him. He finally made it this year, despite his naysayers. Oh, but James and I are going to be rooting for "Da Bears"! P.S. The Colts' cheerleaders have tacky uniforms and lame looking mascots. (I'm serious.)
