Wow, that sucks. Michele is a wondeful woman, so I know that she will make you feel at home. I am not going to be there this weekend, but Elsinore is my home DZ. I will welcome you with open arms if you are having trouble finding a friend. I am sorry if you have not felt welcome. To me, Elsinore is actually one of the friendliest DZs that I have ever been to so far. I am going to have to look for you the next time that I am out there. We will talk then, OK?

I agree. People compare themselves to their peer group. I always ask people who are slacking, but obviously able to achieve more in life, "Why be the best of the worst?" I want to be the best of the best.

Well, I would take the higher career position. Also, don't be silly. It is so lovely in San Diego. The people are not "Hollywood" there if that's what you are worried about. (I hate that, too.) Also, the weather is nice year round. What a wonderful home DZ that you'll have at Skydive San Diego, unless you don't have an AAD. AADs are required there. Yet, there is always Perris and Elsinore which are about an hour or a little more away. It is not so bad out here.

OMG!!!! Congrats! You sound like a complete natural to have completed three in one day. I would be SO proud! Btw, I am a regular jumper at Elsinore, and I am not even 1/3rd your body weight. When you return to CA, have a license and some more experience; we have to one day get together and rodeo or something. That would be soo funny to see on film! Btw, when I began earlier this year (I am between 95-97lbs.), my original DZ only had huge canopies for AFF students. I was under a 280 main, and I took forever to come down... Landing was hard as I had to give it my all with my stomach and pull with my back muscles (Thank god that I have muscles from climbing!). I had to use my whole body and was basically doing a pull up. Whew~ The difficulties of being a non-average size! I just wanted to let you know that I understand your situation a little, although your had the opposite problem than I. Good luck with everything! I hope that you have fun with the awesome jumpers at Gold Coast! I met some of them last weekend (including the DZO, Mike), and I truly have fallen under their southern spell. They are such angels.

WAIT! I mean...I don't mean... I just meant that I was writing about the rush of making love as opposed to the rush of skydiving. Otoh, you and I are going to jump together in the air with our clothes on the next time that I see you. (Sorry, no nudity here. ) That is all. We can share the special bond of jumping together. I am not being facetious either. I truly do believe that I feel a special bond or connection when I jump well with someone. Until then, TallGuy!

Awww...how cute you two are! Btw, RoysPlayThing, I prefer the rush of true LOVE. It is much stronger than any "rush" that I may feel in freefall. I actually feel more of an inner peace and unspoken, shared rhythm when a dive comes together in the air. It is like making love, but it is much, much more powerful when making love to the RIGHT person...and the contentment lasts longer, too.
