LOL! Yeah, what she said!
-
You can PM me if you want to talk. I can listen well, and I understand how cruel and manipulative some people can be. Also, I am curious as to what you are referring to, although the title is a bit of a turn-off as I am a woman, too.
-
LOLOLOL! Did anyone, who doesn't already know him, read Sonnychiba's profile carefully?

Post your chest--a thread for the women to enjoy!

Men's hairy chests can be sexy, too. It's all good. Aggiedave's biceps are the size of my thighs...possibly bigger. -
(((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) Sorry that this had to happen to you. Lisa. I love working with children, so I got my teaching credentials a few years back and took time off from my then career as a costume designer to work as a teacher. I worked as a teacher in a private, Catholic school and as a substitute teacher in a well-known private school in L.A. (The children in the Catholic school were more disorderly. LOL!) I want to remind you what it feels like to get through to those difficult ones...those are the kids that we always remember, huh? Also, what about when they tell you how much you mean to them...they even tell us that they love us. How sweet is that? To know that you have touched someone so deeply. I learned so much about children and people in general, as a teacher. For instance, if I kept my voice loving and explained why I do certain things, then I usually did not have to raise my voice. Screaming or getting angry is never effective! LOL! Also, I realized that looking the children in their eyes and smiling from my heart lit up their little eyes, and they usually became instantly attentive.

YES!!! That's so wonderful! Congrats Mel, Tammi, John, Lou + Dave! I am so happy for you all.
-
That is pleeeenty of time to be pretty good. Cool! We will all be having some fun when we can all gather together and climb! YAYAYAY!
-
How long have you been climbing, Prepheckt?
-
LOLOLOL! That is too funny! Poo, well, maybe it is too last minute for Thanksgiving, huh? It may be a holiday hassle. Well, JT just PM with your thoughts. LouDiamond can put something together for next year, right?
-
Rocket, I hit 100 this weekend, too! That's very cool! Also, I agree about the 2-way camp. MJ knows that I and many others at Elsinore love his camp. MJ is willing to work with all levels, even newbies that have just received their A licenses. If it wasn't for this camp, I would have personally pursued freeflying. However, once I took the 2-way camp and learned the mantis, I truly fell in love with belly flying. I realized that serious RW people, like MJ, are very detail and goal-oriented, and I could really relate to that. I highly recommend that people attend this camp. It is very serious regarding our progression (but still fun!), and you will see results if you take it seriously.

No, I am referring to the DZ.com Eloy trip. I am thinking of going to Redrocks to climb with JT (and possibly others) for Thanksgiving (Fri-Sun) if he, I and my BF can make it. Read JT's prior posts!

LOL! I do believe that I yell down "Climbing" before climbing, but WHATEVER! It was a silly post to say "Let's climb, guys!" I am sure that many climbers will be joining this DZ.com climb fest. I am not sure when I can go, yet, but I am looking into the Thanksgiving thing for an impromptu trip. If not, we will have to make it after Eloy, of course! God, that will be beautiful! I only climbed for about 1 year and a half, and much less than others (once again due to my health). However, it is something that I love and that I always found quite natural. I progressed VERY quickly. I haven't climbed for almost 5 years now, but I will always love climbing!
-
CLIMB ON!!! Edited because "Belay on..." makes more sense, than what I quoted from your prior post!
-
Yup! Edited: They also rent harnesses, chalk bags, carabiners, etc., but they are for use in the climbing gym only.
-
You could always rent some shoes from A16 or REI. Climbing shoes are far too expensive to buy for a first timer. Besides, you would have to try on the shoes youself to see what suits you, as each shoe is cut differently and has different characteristics that it favors.

Cheer up, roomie! We will have tonz'o'fun! -
Spencer and I could teach you to climb, no problem. I am not positive, but I am going to see if he and I can make it! Also, we could do the big DZ.com climbing weekend early next year to include more people who need to plan it out. Edited: YAY! April, too!
-
I mean...I am with my family on Thanksgiving, but maybe I could go from Fri- Sunday.
-
Is everyone busy Thanksgiving weekend? Or we could wait until after Eloy?
-
YEAH!!! Kelli, Derek, Lou, Rosa, Arthur... My BF surfs mostly, but he used to climb hard and has tons of gear of all kind. (Btw, he may be making his first jump soon...) Among LouD, Hooksnswoop/Skycat and my guy's gear along we could be fine. I also have an extra pair of climbing shoes, Kelli. The bad news is that my two shoe sizes are for women's shoe size 4.5 or 5... I own 2 pair of Five Ten Diamonds, which are perfect, as I have very small AND narrow feet with high arches. (Do they still make the Diamond? See pic attached) I have seen that they have the Sapphire, which seems similar. Anyway, LouD. and fellow climbers, pick a place and date!

I agree with the Anvil about the climbing community being tight. Everyone knows everyone. Also, climbers travel to climb routes in different locations as skydivers travel to jump from new locations. I know many ex-climbers that now skydive or skydivers that now climb.

Skydive Arizona Dropzone.com 2nd Annual Holiday Boogie
VanillaSkyGirl replied to sangiro's topic in The Bonfire
It sounds like a plan, Stan... HAHAHA~ I think not!!! You're on! Oh...Tallguy, I was supposed to rodeo him, too. I think that Lizzie and I could rodeo him at the same time with plenty of space. -
Hey, I was laughing, at first, but Star Wars ROCKS! I have always been a huge fan... Congratulations to you both! Craichead, he did pick a gorgeous dress for you. Wow, what a lucky couple to share your love of freefall and each other. I love the skydiving pics the best. Post those again please. Those are sooo beautiful.~
