Wow JT! I can't believe that I never saw this thread. I can't wait to climb with you and Kelli. (Hooksnswoop, too, right? He is surely a great climber.) Thank you for posting. I love the pics! Believe it or not, I have ZERO climbing pics of myself. (At least none that I know of! LOL!) A friend once even asked if he could have his photographer friend take some of me on some new routes that he had set up at Malibu Creek and send them in to a climbing mag with an article, but I was too shy (I'm so dumb!) to let anyone take my pics. I am beginning to break free of my fear of the camera, so I would gladly let you take pics of me climbing, JT. Kelli, you go girl! You are such a natural with your little body. You and I should lead and the guys follow! I haven't climbed in soo long, but a few months ago, a group of us that never climb anymore , climbed at J. Tree and jumped the next day. I both lead (easier climbs) and cleaned (including a fun 5.10b/c? maybe less). Argh...damnit! I could have lead that one as it was less taxing than I thought. (I never hung.) I hadn't climbed in years, though, so I was expecting it to be physically worse. I was so pissed the day after I stopped toproping a 5.11 (Flail/hang city! Even the 5.10s kick my bum when I am out of shape!). I was intending to jump heavily the next day and didn't want to be sore, but I never got sore at all. I should have tried harder...I didn't push myself enough! If I begin to climb again, I want to eventually try an AID climb (with an experienced partner) in Yosemite. I have no experience, though. It would surely be a challenge. Right now, I am not climbing, so I lack the upper body strength for the overhanging stuff. The nice thing about climbing is that you do not forget technique. We should put together a huge climbing trip with all the DZ.commers that climb or want to learn to climb (after Eloy?). The only problem is gear. I have always used other people's gear. I only own my harness, carabiner, chalk bag and climbing shoes. (I just sold an extra tiny, XS nicely padded harness on e-bay, but I would have given it to Kelli if I had thought about it. DARN!!!) Yet, I should still be able to borrow any gear that my BF and maybe other friends have. Perhaps, others have much more climbing gear, as well. Well, keep the pics coming, fellow climbers. You all truly ROCK!

Freeflybella, it's so funny that you wrote to not play up the "skydiver" angle because I agree that Val is much more than that! I had originally written in my first post for Val to make of video of her various interests (belly dancing), life goals and include loved ones, but then I erased that because let's face reality. This is Hollywood. Those casting agents are going to see many, many people and are taking brief notes, then NEXT! They have no time initially to get to know what makes Val a "strong, beautiful woman" and couldn't care less. If they like Val in person, then they MAY take the time to watch her video for a minute or two. Val in a sit at 130 mph could really catch someone's eye for a callback. Then, they may begin to get to know Val a little better...

I think there is a huge difference between doing a tandem and being an actual skydiver, like Val. If it's a huge part of her life, and she loves it like we all do, then why not share it? (Of course, I am a new jumper, so I am still excited to talk about it all the time.) I think that an audience would find Val's skydiving interesting, too. It's awesome to see a beautiful, strong woman in freefall.

Val, my brother used to work for MTV, but he has since been working for NBC for many years now. He is still a great source to contact. If I can get a hold of him today (he's is really busy w/ production), I can question him about The Real World Casting. Also, his last boss' husband was one of the creators of Survivor and many successful reality shows. After meeting me as a friend and Julio's sister, I was asked if I would ever want to be on Survivor or Amazing Race (travel!) WTH? I am way more boring than you, Val and older (32), not to mention that I was not auditioning. It's not the first offer either, but come to L.A., Val and see how many offers you get when you live here. LOL! I declined to even be considered...no privacy! Val, remember that Hollywood is NOT what it seems. (I am sure that you know that as your are a smart chick.) I have never had an interest in it, but I understand why it would seem like a cool lifestyle. It can be fun, but you may also be swimming with sharks. You may be treated nicely, but "talent" is merely a pawn in those games...quite replaceable. You are a strong and interesting woman, Val. I really do think that you would have a good chance to be on a reality show. You take definite stands on issues and do not back down. I know that you will be yourself as Mouth has already suggested. (You do not have wear a tight top as someone else suggested!) Also, maybe leave the casting agents some video of your skydiving and maybe even boogie footage. That should make a definite impression!

Dom, you are such a cutie! Thank you so much for making things so special for me. You're a great friend.
-
LOL! Yes...I could tell.... Thank you. I was trying to stay with you all... As we talked about, falling faster with minimal movement can be done. The moment I put my arms or legs out to REALLY move, it's all over! LOL! Thank you, again, Bill. I really admire you so much. (Amy and you are a perfect match!) I hope to jump with you and the Perris gang, again.
-
Oh my! Have a beautiful birthday month, Sangiro!!!
-
How inspiring...another lady rigger! Congrats, cutie! You make us skychickies proud!
-
Did you see him pick me up and swing me around? I thought I was a goner. He passed me over to Chris L. with instructions to throw me in the pool, but he placed me back on the ground. Whew! I promise to bring some to Elsi next week...and to Perris, the next time that I go!
-
Bill, you and the gang are sooooo wonderful. Thank you so much for the most fun time, everyone. Billvon, Dom , JP, Nick, Laurie, the other Bill, etc., etc. were ALL sooo amazing. Also, thank you for NOT throwing me in pools or pieing me! I was soooo paranoid right after my 100th... Well, that's twice that I have gone to Perris and had an incredibly wonderful time. OK, fine. You guys got me...I love Perris! I was ecstatic to be on a jump with so many DZ.commers. Billvon, Dom (dgskydive), Laurie, JP (Diablopilot), me, Bill? and the others. (Does anyone remember the other names?) I was a little self-conscious on my 99th because I had no lead on, and some people were probably more than double my weight. Thank God that we didn't turn points, or I may have floated away... Turning the round was waaaaay more fun for this jump since I am usually trying to turn points on skydives. It was sooo much fun and absoultely wonderful for me to watch everyone flying from where I was hanging out...like specatator skydiving~ LOL! Once again, thank you so much JP for videoing (both 99th and 100 on a 2 minute notice w/ NO shoes!) and Don? the other videot. Everyone was flying sooo beautifully. I loved it, even though I look sooo ridiculous in the video. I am screaming and making thumbs up gestures with my hands. LOL! Thank you, Nick (Racenic) for my first rodeo! It was so cool to see my friend, Kelly, going headdown, sitting and orbiting us! I felt like I was on a huge bird with your suit as the wings! Big Andy bought me an apple martini, and we toasted our jump. He said that although he has done about 12-13 Mr. Bills, only 1/2 were successful. He claims that our sunset Mr. Bill was the best that he's ever done! (We even had extra altitude.) It went so smoothly. After deployment, I climbed onto, then sat on his shoulders and looked at the sunset horizon. Unfortunately, I lost all feeling in my hands, but I put them in Andy's sleeves and blew on them, until I got back some feeling. I jumped off his shoulders at 5000 and pulled at approx. 3500. It was such an unusual feeling to fall and pick up momentum! Today, I was at Elsinore, and everyone was so happy for me. They were also a little miffed that I didn't share my hundredth with them there. I looove my Elsi peeps... Then, they threated to throw me in the "pool" or swoop pond and/or pie me. YIKES! LOL! I jumped only twice today, but saving $$$ is good, right? One jump was a 2-way w/ Jim, and RW friend, w/ a head jam exit and cogging, and the 2nd jump was a 3-way with 12-14 (?)pts. w/ Jim and an Elsinore LO, Marie. It was fun, and I was complimented on my flying by both the LO and Jim , then I went to dinner with some RW friends. What a lovely weekend. I feel so alive!

Don't worry, Juan. I am always careful. I have had 2 autoimmune illnesses for 13 years now. I know what to do. It will be OK.
-
Hey there, Dom! LOL! You're lucky I didn't... you! Anyhoo, I AM going to Perris tomorrow. I am getting there late morning (meds need time to wear off) as I am not feeling too well, but I am hoping to hit 100, anyway. I am planning all funky, funny, fun jumps all day tomorrow. You have to be on my 100th jump, for sure, OK? Sunday, I will get serious and jump with my RW peeps at Elsi.

Ooops...I edited my original post. I DO have Caller ID, but it says "private number" when my parents, brother and certain friends call me, too. I REFUSE to miss their phone calls because of these creeps!
-
I just had a telemarketer call me addressing me in spanish and asking me if my "Mommy" was home! WTF!?! Yes, I speak Spanish fluently, but I live in North America. English is my FIRST language, and I am VERY offended that just because my name is latin that I am put on some stupid lists to be bothered by those fricken annoying telemarketers in both english and spanish! I just talked back to him in english and kept asking him in english who he was and why he was calling me. He finally hung up on me. LOL! I just realized that I should answer the spanish telemarketers questions in english and to the non-spanish speaking telemarketers in spanish! Better yet, I am just going to have to not answer at all. I do have Caller ID, but I always think that it may be my parents or brother who all have private numbers. I also always ask the telemarketers to take me off their lists before I hang up. Yeah, right! Their calls really piss me off. Doesn't EVERYONE HATE these calls. I used to get bombarded by charity organizations asking for donations, but with this number that I have downtown, I am constantly called by various phone companies...HELP!!!
-
Ooooo...never done a tube... Thank you, Juan! You have a good one, too.
-
Cool. What are you doing this weekend, Sharkie? I am thinking of doing some wacky, fun jumps until I hit 100 on Sat at Perris. On Sunday, us 2-way folk will probably be practicing for our next 2-way camp.
-
I will be there late morning because of meds...must wear off, you know. Hmmm...I have never even done a rodeo, yet (I know...BEER!). I will attempt my pre-second one tomorrow, then!
-
Was this the video that we saw on the big screen on Sunday night at the end of the Chick's Rock weekend? It was very nice indeed.
-
Because I originally wrote to both you and Moody, I say "yes". However, I do not mean to offend the others that I had to recently turn away. First come, first serve. It's Jeanne and me, and if Moody comes out...her, too!
-
The difference is that these are real skychick's breasts. I think that these chicks are quite ballsy for posting their own!
-
LOL! PDS is soooo not shy. I have not seen him in all his glory (snicker), but what I have seen of him up close is nice. Nice face.
-
Hi Nick!
-
I don't mean that kind of jump... You know, Sky, I considered a topless jump, but I am just too modest and cold... I also considered a bikini jump, but I figured that it would probably end up as a "topless" jump. Nipples seem to find ways to escape through those triangle tops when least desired. Maybe for my 500th, I will do something a little less modest.

Are you serious!?!
