  1. Whatever...electrical tape sounds just as good.
  2. Do what true climbers do, and superglue it all into place. Edited: I meant crazy glue. You should be just fine with a little crazy glue.
  3. First, how you came into this world was totally out of your control. Please don't ever think that you are less than anyone else because of your background. You had nothing to do with that. I, personally, don't think any less of you for for your background/past. I'm sure that many/most others feel the same. Second, the fact that you are trying to do good things means that you ARE a better person, than you give yourself credit for being. You seem to really care, or you wouldn't feel so badly. Good intentions count immensely. Third, regarding people blaming you for this person's death...people like to place blame when tragedy occurs. Whether it is or isn't your fault, the bottom line is that you do feel very horrible, and you will have to one day forgive yourself. It's mostly you, who is making yourself out to be the bad person. Anyone who has lived a full life realizes that even good people sometimes do what are considered to be "bad" things. It's tragic for that person's loved ones, yes. It's also tragic for you and for your inner sense of well-being, that this happened. Please seek counseling because you deserve to move on from this and to feel better about yourself. The fact that you feel such pain is an indication that you do have compassion and empathy. You are not a bad person. You deserve love and compassion, just like everyone else.
  4. Oh my gosh, I've always wanted to go to my late best friend's birth place. I already have a trip planned to South America in March. I would love to go to this one, though...
  5. Unfortunately, no...you didn't see me at iFly today. I had today off. Lol. I'm so glad that you had a great time with Drew, though. He is awesome and has a great personality, as do all of the instructors. Please visit us, again!
  6. I work at iFly Hollywood. Every instructor has their own style and can teach you so much, if you build a rapport with them. As stated by others, yes, both Drew and Steve are wonderful instructors. Personally, I would try working one session with each one. I have done that myself (worked with various coaches - Airspeed, Gravity, Perris Fury coaches, IFly TIs, etc.), when learning new skills. I have never felt that my money spent on tunnel time was not worth it. Also, I have spent almost all of my tunnel time learning new skills (prior to working at iFly) to improve my 4-way RW flying. Imo, improving one's bellyflying skills is NOT wasting time, especially not, if you are a new skydiver. The best flyers are strong in all disciplines. Master one, if you'd like, but try to be proficient in as much as possible.
  7. Thanks for the photo link, Krissy. You two look awesome!
  8. Beowulf is currently playing at the IMAX at the Universal Citywalk, which is where the iFly tunnel is also located. Squeak, if you'd like to go on Tuesday the 18th at 1:40 pm (unless the times change), we could see the movie and maybe have a quick lunch, before I go in to work. (I have the night shift on that Tuesday beginning at 5pm.) Let me know, if anyone is interested in seeing Beowulf on that day. I'll wait to see it, if you guys want to get together, then. If anyone wants to fly in the tunnel on that day, as well, please let me know. We have skydivers visit us all of the time. It always brightens our day to see our friends flying and having a blast.
  9. I'm confused by Facebook. I registered a few months ago, but I did nothing with it for a long time. I just threw in a little bit of info. and began adding a couple of friends today, and I have also been added. I have no idea how people can see me, except by looking at others' friends or maybe doing a search. This is my link (I think): http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=708917554 Wow, I feel like a retard posting that I'm not sure, if that is my link. My apologies for not knowing what I'm doing on there, but I don't want to spend the time figuring it out right now. If anyone wants to befriend me, I'd like that. I have 5 friends right now.
  10. This is so upsetting. I don't understand why anyone would do something so cruel. God lord, this caused a young (although emotional) girl to become so sad, that she took her own life. How awful. People have no idea what others are going through internally at any given moment. What is wrong with focusing on love? Why not focus on making people feel good about themselves? It makes me so sad that people feel a need to hurt each other to this extent.
  11. I don't even like Jack, but that brought a tear to my eye, tonight.
  12. Omg, I just saw this video, again. Why do I still think this is sooo funny!?!
  13. Pardon me, do you have any Grey Poupon?
  14. Wow, I don't get it, either. Do you think that people are just looking to do something different, that perhaps they find "fun"? Maybe it's that one unusual thing that they could claim that they did. Plus, maybe it's fun for them to camp out with others who are obviously passionate about the same things that they are. Maybe they feel some kind of bond, and find it a fun & crazy experience. It seems odd to us, for sure. Trust me, I'm totally stumped at people camping out in front of ANY store, even if they were PAYING the people. It's just weird. However, if camping out for two days to be the first ones in their new IKEA store makes them happy, then I guess I'm happy for them. Lol.
  15. She is beautiful, Willem. You must be so in love with her. I'm so happy for you.
  16. Bwahahahaaa...you're nuts, Nicky, and I love it!!! "Happy Birthday, Dave!"
  17. Hello there, tunnelmom! I've heard of your amazing children. I work at iFly, so I look forward to watching them fly. Unfortunately, I don't work on Sunday, until 1pm, and I'm not scheduled to work on Tuesday. I'll be on the lookout for them, when I am working. I hope to meet all of you. We look forward to welcoming your family at our facility!
  18. OMG!!!!!!! I figured it out...nooooooo...
  19. Ahhhh, what is everyone talking about? I don't want to actually see anything disgusting, but I want to know what people are talking about...lol. I must admit that I was totally traumatized, after watching "Hottub Mishap", that someone posted a link to here. (Dear God, why!?!) It was just so sad and sooo disgusting. Hmmmm...maybe I don't want to know what this thread is about. Carry on....
  20. Omg, congratulations, Andrea!!! Jello J~ Wishing you the happiest birthday every, babe! Celebrate in style, my dear!
  21. Ahahahaaa...moms are so cute! That sounds like something my own mother would say! Al Pacino was pretty awesome in that role. Loved it!
  22. Aw, you know that I was kidding. I thought it was funny because you and I are friends. I would never really say anything rude to you. You know that. You're beautiful as you are, and you must know it. I'm sure that you like it that you're taller than many women. I know that I would, if I were you. Sometimes, I do wish that I was a bit taller, so I have to remind myself of the benefits of being so small.
