You are such a loving father and such a good human being, in general, Robert. What a sweet, yet melancholy post. It warms my heart to read about how much some of the men on these boards love their children. It's just so beautiful and pure. Btw, your son is absolutely gorgeous. I'm sure that you have much to be proud of.

Er...and beer breath is???? No, beer breath is also bad, but it's bad in a different way. I don't drink beer myself, but I don't mind kissing someone who does. On the other hand, milk and dairy products in general smell absolutely DISGUSTING!

Hahaha...well, my pic is not especially flattering either! (I look like a fricken muppet!!!) Thanks anyway, Kreg, for posting the pics!

Honestly, I think that it's a little strange to request that at a bar. I don't understand why someone would do that. Milk breath is not sexy. If it was a male friend that I was with...I would make fun of him. If it was someone that was being romantic with me, then I'd hope that he would brush his teeth and use mouth wash after he was done...lol. (Milk grosses me out.) If it was a female friend who did this, I'd ask why she ordered it. There must be a good reason, right?

Lol...you are so cute, Kelli. I LOVE it!

That's so sweet. Thank you, JP. Actually, I never really have done much of that, but I was trying to do more in the beauty treatments area, like all the other women that I know do. I feel like I never do enough to help myself in that department. (I'm not getting any younger, you know.) I thought that perhaps I would need some sort-of maintenance or something for my skin or whatever, but it doesn't matter now because I don't have the money for it, anyway.

Hmmm...is that a personal attack?

All the money that I had saved up to buy a beautiful new car (most likely an Audi) went towards skydiving. I gave up designer clothing...well, most of the time. I also gave up jewelry, accessories, shoes, purses. I am selling everything that I can sell to pay for gear. I gave up any kinds of beauty treatments. I gave up my retirement $$$ (I know that's bad). I gave up any extras...movies, dinners, etc. Also, I am not buying any home furnishings, anymore, at all. "Real" work, as opposed to what I have been doing lately, in order to have time to skydive...I need to get back to my career, though. Seeing my loved ones as much as I should...again, something that I need to change. *Beautiful new car *Designer clothing, shoes, jewelry *Beauty treatments *Retirement money *Movies, dinners, etc. *Home furnishings *Active career in design *Time spent with loved ones It is worth it to me...right now...to give up these things in order to skydive more because it brings me such happiness.

Two Way Skills RW Camp at Perris Valley Skydiving on March 27th
VanillaSkyGirl replied to mj4mjm's topic in Relative Work
Hey MJ, I'm looking forward to seeing you on Saturday! I took Hammo's 4-way camp the last weekend, and I am hoping to work on my 4-way skills in your 2-Way Camp at Perris on Saturday. I really want to perfect my exits (as Point) and work on my outfacing moves, among other things. -

Ditto. Sweetie, I PMed you. Please don't worry about us taking things the wrong way. It's not such a a big deal. We just have a difference of opinion. It's ok...we are all friends here. No worries.

Oh, Lisa, I love you! You wrote exactly what I was going to write, but I felt that she may not understand my points or even read my post, as evidenced by her earlier reply. EXACTLY! Thank you!!! Me too. It's fine with me if men read my posts in the Women's Only forum. Once, again, beautifully written, Lisa...my exact sentiments! Even though most of my best friends are male, I have developed some beautiful relationships with my female friends in this forum.

I've never weighed enough to be allowed to donate blood.

Omg...you used to be a lucky bastard. Uh...I live quite far from Joshua Tree.

I've already posted what I think. Eh...no comment.

I have no idea what you guys are all talking about, but it sounds pretty gross, crude and silly.

This describes ME, too! I used to be quite the little climber (I was a natural), but I don't climb, anymore. I skydive now in my free time. I PMed Sangiro, anyway.

You don't have to go there if you don't want to, but, personally, I love the Women's Only Forum. Are you kidding? The Women's Forum is heavily moderated. Women can write things about breasts and chest straps. for instance, and not have men make sexual comments to them about it. Some men may lurk, but others don't bother going in there. It isn't because we don't want men to visit our forums that we have the Women's Only Forum. It's because we don't want men flirting with us or making wise cracks when we post certain things of a more serious nature. It's a safe environment for women to talk about female things with each other and ask for advice or support, especially when it comes to skydiving, as we are a minority. I know that I have often been comforted and/or helped by suggestions in this forum.

Personally, I dress up and wear evening gowns, theatre gloves, the whole nine yards, but I have seen people more casually dressed for the opera, nowadays (and I'm talking about serious opera in the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion.) It's probably because Los Angeles has such crazy traffic as sometimes people go on workday nights. On the weekend nights, more people seem more likely to dress up. The dress also seems dictated by where you are sitting. (I am a bit particular about my seating arrangements.) Nowadays, many opera houses have subtitles, in case you are having issues following the opera. Honestly, though, if you don't speak Italian, you should still understand the story based on the emotion and drama created during the opera. I am impressed that you are interested in broadening your horizons, Peej. You will be blown away from the grandeur of watching a good opera. Have a beautiful time.
