She is exquisitely beautiful, and it sounds like she is equally talented. Congratulations to her! Enjoy this proud moment, J.

Your daughter looks just like you! She is adorable, Jerry.

Actually, Piisfish posted it first on Facebook. It's hilarious, but nobody on here is interested in opening a thread w/ a guy's name in the title. Lol...they are missing out!

Wow, you're awesome for doing this, Bethany! That's cool! Is this your nephew or another relative? I've never fundraised for this organization, but what a wonderful cause! Keep shining and good luck with all, lovely lady. I'm sending warm thoughts your way...I'll call to check in on you soon. I have to make sure that you don't freeze off your toenails! (Hehehe!) I'm sure that your family is very proud of you, and so am I.

I was only about 3 or 4 years old, when I was told the truth about Santa by another little girl. I didn't believe her, at first. However, when I confronted my mother to tell the truth in front of the little girl and her older siblings (all of who knew that there was no Santa), my mother sadly told the truth. I'm sure that my mother was as heartbroken as I was. To be honest, I didn't care much about Santa not being real. I just remember feeling utterly betrayed that my own parents had "lied" to me, when they had told me that Santa was real. Furthermore, I don't think that my "innocence was lost" by this experience. I had an amazing, beautiful and loving childhood. Jaleesa will be ok, Jaye.

After my late best friend passed away (car crash), I was devastated and decided to go to a seminar with a well-known medium. The medium deals specifically with giving messages from the dearly departed to loved ones who are still alive. I still don't know if she is real or a fake, but I went, anyway. It was a large audience, and the seminar was to help people with the death of a loved one. She talked to many people in the crowd. I didn't necessarily want to hear from my late best friend in front of a crowd of people whom I didn't know, so I'm glad that she didn't single me out. I would rather that she come to me in her own way, which she has. One part that I found especially comforting about the seminar was when we all did a form of meditation or group hypnosis. We were guided through this as a group to see our loved ones and be able to find peace in our minds, but it definitely worked for me. I somehow connected with my friend. I may just have been a mental image or my own thoughts, but it seemed to last forever and was very powerful. I saw myself and Quyen (my late best friend) running barefoot through some beautiful fields. We both had our long, dark hair free-flowing down our backs, and we were also both wearing some beautiful, long, white cotton dresses. We were laughing, screaming, smiling and running in the sun. We even fell down and rolled down the hills, and the whole time I felt her love and her strong energy with me. It felt like this really happened to us, although I know that it didn't. It was such a strong image, and it just made me want to laugh and cry because we were so happy and filled with love. I don't know how to explain that moment, but it was really comforting. I have no idea why I saw us together like that. I don't believe in heaven or hell, but that image of us, laughing and playing together, like kids, it was so innocent and beautiful. It gave me so much comfort and peace in my heart. I knew that she would always be with me, laughing in the sun. My late best friend, Quyen, lives on forever in my heart, as does Lee for you. I hope that you feel better, my dear. Much love and comforting vibes to you.

THANK YOU for writing, Legalart. I just saw this post, but I think of Ladonna a lot. I believe in her. Ladonna is a fighter and a winner. I know that she will be able to rise above the past. In any case, no matter what...I'll try to be there, if she needs me.

Reasons why I love iFly Hollywood...
VanillaSkyGirl replied to VanillaSkyGirl's topic in Wind Tunnels
1. It's warm inside the tunnel, even when it's freezing cold outside. 2. It may be small, but it's a mighty POWERFUL tunnel. 3. The flyers from SD Elsinore, Perris and various other DZs constantly visit this tunnel. It's like being at a DZ function...at the Universal Citywalk. 4. It's incredibly fun to watch 3 year olds fly. I cannot stop smiling when I see children in there, especially when I'm controlling (the wind). 5. The people visiting iFly Hollywood are on Cloud 9, after flying. It feels so good to share in their happiness. 6. Flying mid-week has never been such an easy option for those living in the L.A. region. How else could one fly, go shopping, grab dinner and a movie and still get home at a decent hour? 7. The iFly Hollywood crew ROCKS. (I'm speaking of my co-workers, not myself, of course!) There are many more reasons why I love this tunnel, but I'll give others a chance to comment. Has anyone else visited iFly at Universal Citywalk and fallen in love w/ this tunnel? If so, please add to my list... -
Mark, that was such a beautiful and meaningful post. Thank you for writing it. I'm up late working on lesson plans, and I don't know why I thought to look for this thread, tonight. I didn't personally know Tom. However, I had seen his familiar face around the DZ, and I had heard of his passing away several months ago. It's so sad that someone so young and full of potential had to leave at a time, when his life was just getting started in so many ways. May he live on always in his friends hearts.

Ladies: What do you want in your cabanna boy?
VanillaSkyGirl replied to cocheese's topic in The Bonfire
A good cabana boy: 1. Thinks of what I might want and does/gets it for me without me having to ask for it. -
Happy belated birthday, Steve! I hope that the rest of your week is fabulous!

I'm so sorry, Chelle. I know exactly how you feel. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Hang in there, sweetie. -
Hello teachers, I am writing some papers regarding classroom management, that is specific to grade school-level teachers. At the moment, I am especially interest in teaching the third grade. I am, however, open to hearing from teachers of any grade-level. Could educators please PM (or post) answers to these questions. This is a mini-interview meant for one person, but I'd like to hear from various teachers for my own benefit. Teachers, your answers can be as brief or detailed as you'd like. You can skip questions, and you may add any more information or advice that you'd like to give to me. Thank you so much. Here is my mini-interview: 1. Where do you teach, and what is the grade-level of your students? 2. What is the approximate socio-economic break-down of your class/students? 3. Can you give a brief description of your classroom layout? Why do you have your classroom layout arranged in the way in which it is arranged? 4. What is your style of classroom management? 5. How do you prefer to interact with your students? What kind of teacher/student relationship do you try to create with the students? 6. What discipline model do you use within in the classroom, and how did you develop your personal style of management and/or discipline model? 7. Is the same discipline model used throughout the school? 8. Can you give me incidents of mutual respect (teacher/student), which have occurred within your classroom? 9. Do you have any preventive procedures and/or activities? 10. How do you deal with the parent/guardian of a disruptive child?
