  1. Gee, thanks Clint. Btw, I don't know Weegegirl, but she seems like a great person with a thread dedicated just for her. That's awesome!
  2. Oh my Gosh, Mel, those pictures are so artistic and so beautiful...exactly the kind of pictures that I would LOVE to have myself. Please let me know if you find out how to order one.
  3. Do any of you out there have something to say about tunnel coaching? It ROCKS... Have you recieved it? Yes. From who? Juliana and Fabian were coaching in a FF tunnel camp in Orlando. I asked to be coached by Juliana as she is a female and about my size. How did they compare? I fly on my belly, so that was my first and only experience learning to FF. How did they differ? ---- How did it help you? As I've stated, I am a belly flyer, so I learned from scratch how to back fly, sitfly and fly relative in a sit. I can move forward, backward, up and down. My docking and my turns are there, but they are a bit shaky. I have to work on them some more. I really took to back flying quickly, though. Did it transfer directly to the sky? I cannot FF in the sky with my rig. My harness is 14", but the lateral and leg straps are still too big for my frame. I am pretty tiny (5 ft. and 95 lbs.) and nothing (except for the rigs with tiny canopies) fits me properly. When I downsize my canopy small enough and get a custom made rig, then I will FF in the sky, too. The tunnel let me experience FFing without having to wait until I have a rig that will fit me. That is a huge PLUS for someone my size!
  4. Hey, I saw what you edited, Orchid! As much as I love ya, girl, we both know that Rich is waaaay too hooked on his wife to be anything less than a gentleman with us all. Rich, we will miss you sooo much at Elsinore. Like Darcy said, I am happy for you and for your little lady, too. She is a complete sweetheart, and I know that you two will be very happy to be together at last in Texas. You two better come back and visit us as much as possible, ok? We love ya both!

  6. Well, I had quite the dumb blonde moment when I signed up for the Airspeed tunnel camp last fall. The guys and Eliana were so down-to-earth, funny (silly!), friendly...like a sibling or close friend...especially after I was attacked walking back to my hotel the first night. They were totally there for me emotionally and looked after me, like I was their little sister. It's totally embarrassing, but I didn't know that my tunnel camp instructors were actual Airspeed members...until the second afternoon. I knew that we were going to be taught how to "train like the members of Airspeed", but I didn't know that we would be flying with them.(Doh!) When I was about half-way through my camp, I made a phone call to my mentor & friend back home. My friend was asking me about my tunnel coaches on the phone, and I began by telling him that some guy named "Todd" was my first coach. He said, "Todd Hawkins from Airspeed?". Me, "No, not him! He had some other last name, I think. I can't remember it right now. He's an excellent coach and amazing flyer. He's been soooo nice and made me feel at home by telling me that we have Elsinore in common, as he used to be a part of the Matrix Team at Elsinore." My mentor/friend, "Ummm...Rosa, that's HIM...Todd Hawkins!" Me, "Noooo...nooo (silence) (The light bulb goes off in my head...) Ohhhh..." My friend, "Who were your other coaches?" I named off the coaches. My friend, "Rosa, those are all Airspeed members..."
  7. I'm so happy for you, Daizey! Congratulations, cutie.
  8. Yes, we all look alike, you know... Thanks everyone for all the lovely compliments.
  9. wow "COUGH the year i was born COUGH" man you must be old Also, YOU must be young, Countryscrub. I was seven in 1978.
  10. Are you kidding, honey? You don't understand what that thread is about? How can that be? It's self-explanatory. Edited: Wait, am I missing something? THIS is the thread and the post that I was referring to.
  11. The thread that states "Post 2 unique Facts About Yourself" has a post from you (the last one) where you posted unique facts about Sunshine, not yourself.
  12. RkyMtnhigh is easily confused...see the Post two things about yourself thread...lol, but she still seems to be a nice person.
  13. I can't believe that you wrote that, you sweet thing. I was sooo busy this weekend with all the dirt-diving, jumping and debriefing. I did eleven training 4-ways and one final 3-way this Sat-Sun. I was actually sweaty, sore and disgusting, but thank you, my friend.
  14. Yup, and you don't need a pup to pick up guys either, not with your face and body!
  15. No, I agree with that part. It's attractive to see a man be a nurturer. I find single men with dogs to be very loving, supportive and nurturing people. Later on, they often make wonderful fathers, too.
  16. Hahahaha...that could have more than one meaning.
  17. Should be quite busy then. Pam Stevens (Rep for the Local NSL) will be hosting a 4 way training camp, including Shannon Pilcher as one of the coaches I believe. Yep...I'm doing that, too. That's what I was also invited to attend..the 4-Way camp with Pam.
  18. Yeah... I wonder...is it is referred to as "shacking up" because the people in question are living together in a trailer? They are in a trailer, right...or am I ASSuming too much? I've watched Jerry Springer a time or two, you know...
  19. VanillaSkyGirl

    eh?

You scratch an itch. Why are you licking windows?
  20. Have a beautiful birthday, lovely Betsy!
  21. Oh my! I guess that I can't move to North Carolina now...
  22. Yeah, she WAS trying to beat me up!!! (She was testing my stability to the fullest...man, she is one strong woman!) The next close-up pic was taken right after that.
