Not everyone knows what thread or post you are talking about, Quasi. THIS was not necessarily read by everyone online. That guy's joke was upsetting to you because it was in your eyes a play or joke on you and your experience, but I don't think that he meant to hurt you, personally. He was making a joke and not realizing how you may feel about it. I assure you that it was most likely nothing personal because you two don't even know each other. Maybe just calm down a little. I understand what you are feeling, though. Skydiving is a very emotional experience for people...the first time is pretty mindblowing. Please just know that you are being emotional because you really were moved and feel as though someone's taking away that validation that you were feeling with the skydive. I understand how you feel. Know that no matter how other people react, that feeling that you felt was real. That is why you are going to become a skydiver. You were moved and felt taken care of, even protected by and bonded to the tandem master. I have never done a tandem, but I felt a strong bond with my instructors and continue to feel strong bonds with people whom I jump with. I still marvel at the beauty of it all.

Me too. My latest packer at Perris is female, and she is soooo sweet. She even helps me out of my rig! I was shocked the first time that she did this. She came up behind me and gently pulled the rig off my shoulders when I undid the chest strap, then helped as I walked out of the leg straps. Isn't she awesome!?! She always smiles at me and pep talks to me, too, if she sees that something is wrong.

So that leads me to wonder...if I become a packer, could I get VSG to "use" me? Sure, I'd "use" you...if you were cheap and quick.

I would feel WAAAAY too self-conscious in a sports bra (OMG! For some reason my girls look huge in those...), a tank top () or a bikini (no comment) at the DZ. You can forget about ME ever PACKING in those! I just couldn't. Creeping is also really, REALLY embarrassing and distracting in a top that is not high enough... Btw, I was taught to pack ages ago by a female packer who taught me to use my whole body when I pack. I have to say that I can get all the air out of the canopy pretty damned fast in a couple of areas...

Yup... Even for me...and I am only on the second floor, but things were ROCKIN' N ROLLIN'. It was freaky because these apt. stairs are difficult enough to climb normally, but they would be impossible for me to climb down with the shaking and on crutches. It made me feel pretty helpless...and I NEVER feel that way...
