Amber, sweetie, I think that you are a wonderful person. Please know that we are all here for you. Yes, it's so hard when you are grounded. Believe me, I understand. Please know that this too shall pass. You WILL skydive, again. You will. Eventually, you will find a way to work around this set-back. Btw, I take daily medication (strictly for health/physical reasons), but I cannot take them when skydiving (side effects, such as drowsiness). I have found that I can wait until the end of the day to take it , even though it's very difficult physically. Perhaps, you can do something similar? Focus on school and your new apt. It is awesome to have your first own apartment. Amber, that is a HUGE achievement right there! Being on the honor society is another huge achievement. Focus on the positive...you have so much. You just have to remember that, my friend. OK, I am in a hurry, but I really do care about you so much. It was an honor to meet somone like you in Rantoul. You seem genuine, work hard and are very kind. Be good to yourself, and know that you are a wonderful person who is just going through a difficult time. We all luv ya, girl. Yes, a few people PMed me when I took myself off the Skydive Atlanta list. Sadly, I am not going there for Halloween, anymore. I figured that since I'm not jumping yet, my BF and I could always do something special out this way instead. Sorry Bet, Meli, Mouth, Alli, etc. I will miss you all terribly. Jeannie ~ Missy Nelson, Gillian and the Elsinore hottie LOs will be there, as well as many amazing sky chickies and many, many sky dudes (lol!) from all over. Trust me, it is one damned awesome boogie, my dear! You won't be dissappointed!

This situation is so sad. I'm so sorry for your loss. My family is very close-knit, so we all try to visit or talk frequently. However, everyone is different regarding how often they call or visit with their parents/family, so I am not going to judge you or anyone else.
